We believe that innovators have an important role to play in improving health and well-being for all. The need is urgent, with half the world lacking access to comprehensive health services and two billion people facing financial hardship due to out-of-pocket healthcare costs. New voices and ideas—from proximate innovators—can help address health disparities and make care more accessible, affordable, and sustainable.

The 2025 Global Health Challenge

Every person deserves to experience good health and well-being. While there has been some progress towards these goals over the last two decades, much of that progress has now slowed or reversed. Currently, half the world lacks access to comprehensive health services. Two billion people face financial hardship due to out-of-pocket healthcare costs. Inequalities are increasing worldwide, particularly in low- and middle-income countries.

The Global Health Challenge seeks solutions that leverage technology to make good health and quality care more accessible for all.
