Malaria is the most deadly disease in Africa. After a meticulous research we realize that there is every possibility for fake news, rumours and false alert of outbreak to be more deadly than Malaria, We find out that there is no platform for citizens to easily verify information or outbreak in the health sector. Additionally, accessing healthcare service in Nigeria is extremely expensive and sometimes poor hence we decided to develop innovative software to allow people verify news from the health sector and at the same time give them access to healthcare service on our web based system.

What is the problem you are solving?

We are solving three pivotal issues

Helping the citizens to verify news from the health sector more especially during health emergency and outbreak.

Helping the citizens to have easy access to quality healthcare service at an affordable rate on our web based system

Updating the general public on latest information in the health sector

Who are you serving?

Our market is the general public because anyone can visit our website to authenticate any information in the health sector. People from the age of 18-90 years male and female, we have both an online and offline solution that can meets the needs of those in rural and urban areas.

When millions of people visit our sites we generate traffics which will be generated as revenue, we generate income through advertisement on our site. We charge a little when you need a medical care on our platform and we offered consultancy services.

We were able to carry out a market research in Kaduna State precisely in Barnawa City, we interacted with more than 100 people on the efficacy of verifying fake news on the health through our platform and 90% were elated about the innovation. Luckily we were able to discuss with one of the siblings whose brothers died during the Ebola outbreak because he drank excess salt due to the application of wrong information which we are trying to curtail or possibly eradicate. Also we were able to reach about 700 people via social media to get their opinions and their responses were superlative.

What is your solution?

In 2014 during the Ebola Outbreak in most African countries, messages were going round the social media for people to take their bath with salts and out of ignorance so many people drank the salt in excess which led to their untimely death, it is unfortunate that while trying to avoid death but ignorance and lack of information led to their premature death, in order to avoid such future occurrence that is what necessitated the development of this innovative solution. We are driven with the passion to reduce the rate of death due to uncontrollable outbreak of diseases and mismanagement of information. Another important service our web based system is offering is to give the opportunity for anyone in the world experiencing health challenges to be attended to by our medical team online. We have a chat button embedded on the website where users can chat with us and a doctor will prescribe medication to them and answers all their health questions. We are already upgrading the site to allow video chat so that the patients can be able to see the doctor who is offering the service to them.

One unique features of our innovation is the integration of Artificial Intelligence which will allow people on our site to ask the database questions on health matters and the database will response in real time via voice recognition. We have both an online and offline solution for this innovation so that both those in the rural and urban areas can benefits from it.

Emmanuel Bala Musa, a graduate from the prestigious Kaduna State University. He has Bsc Computer Science, he is a great motivator and an optimist about everything in life. He is full with relevant ideas and information that are always beneficial anytime you're privilege to be with him you will be inspired.

A combination of passion and practical experiences in diverse field place us on a better pedestal to cope with this business solution. Through our work experiences we had achieves significant growth and exceptions as regards good communication skills, time management, team player dedication, leadership and management skills as well as excellent customer service delivery, all to mention but a few.

We believe so much in making impact in anything we do and the zeal to go the extra mile in our tasks and responsibilities.

In February 2019, our solution was shortlisted among the 15 most innovative business ideas in Nigeria by the Department for Digital, Culture Media and Sports of British Government.

In March 2019 we were shortlisted among the 50 most creative business ideas were we competed in the Nigeria edition of the Creative Business Cup which was organized by Lagos Business School (Enterprise Development Centre) in collaboration with Global Entrepreneurship Network.

We are partnering with the National Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) in Nigeria and the Federal Ministry of Health and Inspire ICT Firm. We intend to partner with WHO and UNICEF Soon

When selected I will make sure I go the extra mile to make impart during the course of my training and give in my best towards rendering laborious and meticulous service. I am passionate about selfless service and dedication. I believe becoming a Solve Alumni will quickly accelerate my dream of building an Africa with less health challenges.

It is my earnest desire to transform Nigeria to become the cynosure of all eyes in the entire Africa. Am motivated to build a technology driven society in this country and African at large, No nation can develop without effective use of technology and ICT when managing health issues.

I strongly believed this opportunity to participate in the Solve Training and Funding program for Entrepreneurs will give me the needed exposure, experiences, knowledge, mentorship, networking etc. to elevate my Entrepreneurs skills and career to the peak. I will make sure I capitalize on this superlative idea and key into it wholeheartedly towards elevating my life and business to the next level.
