Here we are going to solve the violence in public transport, specially against women. Preventive action or early alert against violence and quick response in case of incidents. Its about physical safety of commuters.
Efficiency in help response by providing real time data of the vehicle to individual commuter, keens of commuter, police department, ambulance service, paramedics and any other emergency service.
Nationwide Implementation of traffic rules, road safety rules with same level of efficiency in metropolitan city and remote areas.
Future navigation tools for flying car and self driving car for safety.
Violence against women: Proactive and reactive response for unusual events, like- change of usual bus routes, prolonged stoppage, unusual drop off. Auto alerts (Proactive response) would be sent to nearest petrol police or law enforcing agencies. Subject herself could also raise alerts (reactive response) if she feels anything uncomfortable.
Accidents: Accidental events would be alerted to paramedics, hospitals, fire brigades, law enforcing agencies etc. for quick response. Alerts would be generated by analyzing live situations like being off the road, temperature of the vehicle, unusual stoppage etc.
Traffic Rules: Speed limits, Parking rules, Overtaking rules and other road safety regulations are monitored lively.
Navigation Tool for flying/ self drive car: This could be a navigation tool for futuristic car to fly/ drive safely .
Recent incidents of rape violence in public transport in Bangladesh encourages me to response with a tech solution. Almost all incidents have some common trends- the victim was alone in the bus, the bus changed the usual route or make an unusual stoppage. If alert could have been raged to victims or petrol police in such cases, occurrence could be prevented.
Widespread traffic rules violation and little enforcement of laws in my country make the total traffic system a chaos. In village or remote areas there is no rules at all. This caused millions of commuters travelling at high risk. Also there is no formal system of calling emergency help service, which causes a high death tool in road accidents.
In this application individuals would be registered through mobile device and vehicles through IoT device with sensors. The application would be indulged with all traffic and road safety rules, accident data (the data that could describe a situation as accident, like vehicle temperature, position etc.), drivers data, vehicles data, roads data, data for usual bus route, trends or locations. AI would analyze these data with real time data provided by sensors in registered vehicle and registered mobile device along with GPS. Any violation or disruption would be alerted to relevant authorities. We would analyze the possible outcomes through some examples.
Example 1: If a woman ride on a bus, her registered ID would show some descriptions of the bus like-drivers name and photo, its route and stoppage etc. If there is anything unusual, like - the driver is not the actual one, she could raise alert for help by her mobile phone. The alert would be transmitted to the nearest police.
Example 2: The application would contain a large amount of data regarding accidental conditions-like vehicles temperature threshold, physical conditions. If a vehicle got accident, like getting off road or collided with other vehicle, AI would analyze usual set rules with accidental conditions, collected through IoT and sensors, accidents would be detected and immediate alert would be raised to all emergency help services.
Example 3: Every road has its speed limit and the application would have all the limits data. If a vehicle runs beyond that limit, AI would analyze the vehicles speed with roads speed limit and violation ticket would be raised against the vehicle and charged accordingly.
Example 4: As the application have all the parking areas and rules set on it, by analyzing parking condition of the vehicle the application would check if it is violating any parking rules. If yes, then charged accordingly.
For any kind of incidents, whether violence against women or accidents or breaking traffic rules, GPS would provide the real time location.

GPS: Would provide real time location as it is providing other apps like- Uber.
Mobile apps: Primary application for registration, sending alarm to women in danger, petrol police and other emergency help services.

Every women travelling alone and prone to violence would get direct benefit from early alert. Besides, everybody travels, so everyone is concern for their safety and requires help response and alerts. Also authorities could render more safety, precisely and promptly, to every individual. The benefits would be evaluated in terms of incidents:
For violence against women: The application would sent warning to intended victims and nearest petrol police. Police would respond accordingly.
Fro accidents: As soon as the incident occurred, every authority- paramedics, ambulance, police, would be alerted at once and would rush for help. Thus, response time would be reduced.
For traffic rules: All traffic rules that are instructed through road signs, whether regulatory or warning (speed limit, no parking, no overtaking, one way traffic, no U tern, give way, no entry, traffic signal, road markings) or supplemental plates, would be implemented by the application instead of present physical monitoring. As all vehicles would be linked with a single traffic system through IoT and application, any violation would generate auto penalties. Thus less physical monitoring is required with more precise rules implementation and more safety.

ars: Present air traffic control (ATC) is mostly manual and operated by contacting with controller which would be insufficient and inefficient for large amount of flying vehicles. Sensors and GPS would provide automated, real time, 3-D navigation guide to flying cars. Navigation rules for flying cars would also be imposed as the same way traffic rules are imposed.

The solution is still in conceptual level. To have the real application finance and technical support is vital. The big challenge is to describe the accident data- the data that could describe a situation as accident. Also there are legal issues as the application requires authorities to be included for ripping benefits.
I hope strong partnerships with renowned institutions could overcome these barriers.
Also, MIT have a great platform for research, which would help to gather large amount of data necessary for describing a situation as accident.
Authorities would get confidence if the application if supported and incubated by MIT.

The service would be provided by authorities. So both the revenue generating or subsidized model are possible. If government itself provide the service, it can be subsidized or make mandatory subscription. Government could save millions from onsite supervision of road safety, by substituting it with offsite and live supervision. Where governments lack proper supervision in road safety due to budgetary reason, this solution could be a great for them. The precise supervision and response with minimum delay could save lives of millions, specially where violence against women are high while transportation or road accidents are rampant.
Subscription for individual would be free. Individual subscription would provide safety against violence, specially to woman. But for vehicles would be charged. If authorities would implement it as mandatory for all vehicles large amount of subscription fee would be generated each year. In addition the solution would replace lot of physical monitoring by auto monitoring, thus would save big amount of authority's budget expenditure.
Data Requirement: My solution requires large amount of research data. As a great research platform MIT could provide such kind of data. Solve can bridge the gap in this regard.

One of the prime feature of this application is women's safety in public transport. If awarded, more and more of this kind of solutions would be evolved.
More money would be invested for more safety solutions. Data will be used for public safety only, no sale of data to advertiser or for business. Proper security stander will be follow for storage, transmission or processing of data.
This application has women focused solution. Any awarded fund would be utilized to develop and implementation of this application.
