New Refill and Dispensing Method That Keeps Bottles Reusable
The problem we are committed to solving has to do with the billions of plastic bottles that are manufactured and disposed everyday. Whether they are filled with shampoo, lotion or even food end up in landfills and oceans. Manufacturers are desperately looking for a solution. With all the money they make, they will continue to produce these mountains of plastic bottles until now.

We have created a Bottle with a built-in squeezer. A full refillable pouch is inserted, the product is ALL squeezed out then removed. The empty pouch is mailed back to manufacturer to be refilled. The bottle stays in the home or business to be reused over and over again. This will eliminate millions of bottles from having to be produced.
If chosen, this innovation along with your help will stop the unnecessary production of the mountains of plastic bottles produced and thrown away each day. If we get the major multinational corporations (main producers of 90% of plastic waste) to adopt this new way of life. All species of life on this planet will be thankful.
We are serving to everyone that uses any type of single use bottles or throw away vessels. Ex: Shampoo, conditioner, body wash, deodorant, make-up, ketchup, mustard, dressing, soap, sanitation etc. Everyone across the globe uses these products everyday. By using this innovation, one would simply keep the bottle and insert the refill into the bottle. No one would have to throw away another bottle again. In addition, the refill can be mailed back to the co-packer for fill
Our solution is simple. End users will buy a starter pack that comes with a reusable bottle and 2 full pouches that replenishes product inside the bottle . The pouch slides into the side of the bottle. The built in squeezer dispenses all product out of the pouch. The empty pouch is removed and mailed back to manufacturer to be filled again. The proven innovation can be used with many products. Sensors also can be used on the stay home bottle to read levels for reordering.

- Enable recovery and recycling of complex products

We came up with this new innovation to help resolve the elephant in the room ( plastic waste). What we have now is single use plastic bottles that can only be used once. They say it can be recycled but in all reality only 9% of all plastic is recycled. Our innovation gives a reason for a consumer to keep the bottle and in turn easily reload it!
We have created a solution that involves a method way of squeezing. Our technology is quite simple. The reusable bottle has a plate that lifts and scrapes all the product out of a pouch that is inserted into the bottle. The plate then squeezes by way of a tab. The plate is pushed to the top until it can no longer go up , thus the pouch would have been fully dispensed.

Our solution will basically help reduce the amount of plastic bottles produced everyday. Millions of bottles are made and thrown away everyday. They are used once and thrown in the trash or recycle trash along with all the internal components. Most can't be recycled because there is product still inside. When these bottles get to a recycle center, the product inside contaminates the process. To clean these bottles would take to much time and money, so they are just thrown away and never recycled. It would be to expensive to mail these bottles back to the manufacturer because they are to heavy and bulky. Our solution bottle can be reused over and over so no need to throw away. The pouches that go inside are much lighter and easier to mail back to manufacturer for refilling.

Currently we are in the prototype stage so we are not currently serving anyone. In one year, we hope to have in production with a major distributor and depending on how quickly it goes possibly millions of end users. In five years it could be global and serving 100 million end users.
Our goal for the next year is to make a deal with a major multinational company that can implicate this solution to reduce the amount of plastic bottles being created. I major company that will be lucky to take this opportunity, will help millions of end users reduce trash and save money. In the next five years many countries will have banned all single use plastic. This will be the replacement for recycling. With billions of people using products every day, this will surely be the norm.
For the next year, some barriers are mainly financial at this point. My team and I Work normal jobs and need to be able to fund this project along with paying bills and life expenses. Time is also a barrier, as we work full time jobs time is limited to go full throttle on this project. Another barrier can be getting the mass to adapt to the new way of buying. But with all the plastic bans on single use plastic coming from states and other countries, the next 5 years should transition well.
If we win this solve solution, it will be enough for my team and I to focus 100% on this solution. The bans on single use plastic coming from everywhere will actually force the market in our direction.

There are currently 3 people on our team. 1 full time and 2 part-time.
We are not from the packaging industry. We are raw talent. Our full time team member is a mechanical engineer in product design. We are very passionate about the environment. We are career salesmen with a proven track record who can present this to CPG companies.
none at the moment.
A value we will provide to the population will save money for consumers. In ways of less packaging cost that is passed on to them from the manufactures of products they consume. Along with reduction of trash and recycle trash local municipalities must pay out for disposal.
We plan on getting participation from manufacturers, co packers, government agencies and consumers to shift consumer behavior.
The beneficiaries will be the manufacturers and end users.
Manufacturers will benefit by reducing plastic waste, cost, fill and back lash from blame for the never ending trash they produce every day.
The end user will benefit by getting a lower cost and a new innovation that gets all the product out.
We are funded by sustained donations and self funding. We will be raising money also thru investment capital and private investors.
Solve will help us in many ways! A barrier we are up against is, we can't work on this full time at the moment. It will give us access to personally focus on this innovation the world needs full time. We Currently don't have the full resources or personnelto get this to the right people.

We would like to partner with Amazon. Amazon took action by setting a deadline for CPG brands to overhaul their packaging. They hope to make product packaging greener, sturdier and cheaper to ship starting August 1st. With our innovation, it would do just that. The pouches are much lighter to ship and can be returned in envelopes to manufacture for refilling. We can partner so they can set up arrangements with these brand Giants.
we would be able to hire extra personnel to help market our solution to the right companies that will utilize this system. We can arrange setups in packaging conventions. This prize money would allow us to create better prototypes and even launch a product line built around the reusable bottle and pouches.
