We are addressing the issue of reintegration and rehabilitation of survivors of modern slavery. Around the world, more than 50 million people are trapped in modern slavery, and women and children are disproportionately affected. One in three victims of human trafficking are children under 18 years of age. Exploitation is more frequent among migrants and people of lower socioeconomic status.

In the communities we work in, survivors face enormous challenges in rebuilding their lives. These challenges include social isolation, lack of basic services, limited access to financial resources, accommodation and viable employment opportunities. 80% of survivors become victims again if they do not have a safe place to go.

Factors contributing to this problem that our solution addresses include:

Lack of access to education and training: Many survivors lack the skills and knowledge necessary to access employment opportunities and rebuild their lives.

Limited access to financial resources and housing: Survivors often do not have access to bank accounts, credit, or affordable housing, making it difficult for them to stabilize.

Isolation and lack of emotional support: The alienation and traumas experienced leave survivors in need of emotional support and specialized medical care.

Inefficiency in service coordination: Organizations that support survivors often lack efficient tools to coordinate and communicate available services.

Focusing on the needs of survivors exacerbates these problems. Our solution, Tesis Time, uses ethical technology, such as AI, to improve and expand critical resources, facilitating the reintegration of survivors and helping them thrive in society.

Our solution, Tesis Time, is an educational digital platform designed to support survivors of modern slavery in their reintegration and rehabilitation process. It is a specific product, service or business model, which has already been used by 40 thousand people in different parts of Latin America.

Target population:

Our solution, Tesis Time, is designed to benefit survivors of modern slavery, a group that includes women, children and migrants of low socioeconomic status. Specifically, we focus on those who have been victims of human trafficking, forced labor and other forms of exploitation and who can reintegrate into society and we support their learning process through education to develop soft skills, critical thinking, capacity . of analysis and subsequent power to study or undertake and work.

Characteristics of the target population:

• The diversity of ages and origins represents: It includes people of all ages, although children and adolescents under 18 years of age represent a third of the victims.
• Socioeconomic condition: Predominantly from low socioeconomic levels, with migrants being especially vulnerable.
• Legal and social situation: Many lack basic documents, have limited access to financial resources and face social isolation and emotional trauma.

Current unmet needs:

• Access to education and training: Survivors often do not have access to the education and training necessary to improve their employment and economic prospects.
• Financial resources and housing: Lack of access to bank accounts, credit, and affordable housing impedes their stability and autonomy.
• Emotional support and medical care: They need trauma-informed medical care and emotional support to overcome the alienation and traumas experienced.

We chose the “working prototype, tested, with traction” stage because we have built an operational platform that has been successfully tested in survivor communities, achieving significant and positive impact. Our solution is ready to be scaled, based on the results and traction gained so far.

Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning: These components allow the personalization of learning and the adaptation of educational resources to the specific needs of each student. AI helps analyze student progress and suggests resources and materials that can improve their understanding and performance in the thesis writing process.

Big Data: The platform collects and analyzes large volumes of educational data to identify patterns and trends. This facilitates informed decision making about improving educational content and methodologies, and allows educators and administrators to identify critical areas where students may need more support.

Software and Mobile Applications: "Tesis Time" offers an accessible mobile application that allows students to access educational resources anytime, anywhere. The app includes courses, workshops, webinars, and tutoring tools that support students throughout the entire thesis writing process.

Blockchain and NFTs: Blockchain technology is used to guarantee the security and authenticity of academic documents. NFTs (non-fungible tokens) can be used to certify the ownership and originality of the theses, thus protecting the intellectual rights of students.

Predictive Analysis: This technology helps predict the educational and support needs of students, allowing for early and personalized intervention. This helps improve thesis completion rates and reduce delays in graduation.

Throughout the time since the idea began: We have worked with more than 60 professionals from different parts of the world and nationalities, ethnicities, races, etc. We invest more than work, more than 150,000 man-hours of work, dedication and passion. The current team is multidisciplinary as well as of different nationalities and origins, ages, genders, without distinction. We value the experience, contributions and knowledge that can help us, more than anything else.

Our plan to achieve financial sustainability for Tesis Time was a Master Thesis in Marketing, Sales and Digital Strategy Management 2024. It is based on a combination of revenue models including selling products and services, obtaining donations and grants . , as well as collaboration with academic and government institutions. Here is our detailed approach:

Sale of products and services: We offer premium services within our platform, such as access to exclusive educational content, advanced research tools and personalized tutoring. In addition, we are developing alliances with educational and corporate institutions to offer training and consulting services in scientific research methodology. These services generate recurring revenue that contributes to our financial sustainability.

Donations and Grants: We actively seek donations and grants from philanthropic foundations, international organizations, and government entities that support our mission to democratize scientific research and improve access to education. We have managed to obtain innovative funding from donors committed to the educational and empowerment of marginalized communities. Currently, our outreach and studies show that with $100,000 USD we can change people's lives at a unit cost of $3.22 USD each. We are still collecting information in our study.

Institutional Collaborations: We are exploring strategic partnerships with academic, government and private sector institutions to develop joint research programs, pilot projects and training programs. These collaborations may include shared funding, access to resources, and expansion opportunities.
