Additionally, the LEAP Project provides access to expert guidance, technical support, and resources that can help us design and implement rigorous research studies and evaluations effectively. Overall, engaging in a LEAP Project now will enable Bikasave to accelerate our learning, strengthen our evidence base, and drive continuous improvement and innovation in our solution to better serve the needs of smallholder farmers in Uganda and beyond.
Our three research questions includes:
- How does the use of the Bikasave platform impact smallholder farmers' agricultural productivity, income levels, and overall livelihoods over the long term?
- What factors contribute to the adoption and sustained use of the Bikasave platform among smallholder farmers, and how can these insights inform strategies to enhance user engagement and retention?
- What are the scalability and replicability factors of the Bikasave model in different geographic regions and contexts, and how can these findings guide expansion efforts and the customization of the platform to meet diverse farmer needs?
- Formative research (e.g. usability studies; feasibility studies; case studies; user interviews; implementation studies; process evaluations; pre-post or multi-measure research; correlational studies)
- Summative research (e.g. impact evaluations; correlational studies; quasi-experimental studies; randomized control studies)
