Andrés Becerra is the founder and director of Eddutrax, an entrepreneurial figure committed to transforming the education sector and Colombian society. With a deep understanding of educational needs and the solution offered by Eddutrax, he oversees educational projects and initiatives from socialization to execution and monitoring.
He is the primary responsible for the organization, interacting with all stakeholders (government institutions, funders, school principals, teachers, and students) to set the direction of the company. Andrés Becerra's vision and leadership are crucial to Eddutrax's success in its mission to improve the emotional well-being of the school population in Colombia.
Although Andres has all the academic qualifications and professional experience, the greatest asset and guarantee of success stem from his passion and commitment to overcoming the immense problems of Colombian society through the transformation of childhood and youth into socially conscious, empathetic, resilient, and self-managed individuals that contributes to society and respect the law.
Andrés, as the main promoter of our organization, possesses a deep understanding of the historical evolution and current dynamics of our projects. His experience and detailed comprehension of the issues, solutions, and execution of the projects provide a significant lever to effectively support the LEAP Project.
Our solution focuses on promoting evidence-based management in educational institutions in their management of children and youth's socio-emotional development. We recognize the need to argue and effectively demonstrate the application of this principle in educational management through our solution, which represents a key challenge for our organization. We're not doing it as well as we would like.
It is essential for us to demonstrate that our solution for supporting socio-emotional management in educational institutions really has a positive and lasting impact on our students. This final document will not only serve as an internal management base but will also be a crucial tool in our promotion to government, educational institutions, and funders.
In summary, the LEAP Project becomes the central axis of our growth and sustainability as an organization. We are committed to ensuring that our efforts are aligned with it and that we have the necessary resources to achieve the desired success.
Measurement of the socio-emotional situation of the students in the educational institution. This is achieved through data collection (surveys), data analytics, and the generation of reports that allow for the identification of priorities, interventions, and monitoring.
The Colombian society faces multiple challenges rooted in its complex cultural fabric. The presence of guerrilla groups, criminal bands, institutional corruption, among others, reflects a reality marked by inequality, lack of solidarity and empathy, mistrust and commitment with the society.
These problems are not only symptoms of the entrenched culture but also perpetuate and reinforce such culture. We have a cycle of negative feedback from a culture of lack of solidarity, violence, and corruption. In this context, addressing these challenges requires not only immediate actions to confront their manifestations but also a continuous effort to transform the underlying social and cultural structures that sustain them.
This change must promote social-awareness, self-awareness, self-management, and resilience in all members of society. In our view, the educational institutions can play a pivotal role in this process by fostering the development of socio-emotional competencies in children and young students. Socio-emotionally competent individuals are less likely to create environments that foster or perpetuate the issues facing the Colombian society.
However, weaknesses in managing the socio-emotional development of kids by educational institutions limit their ability to lead this transformation. Teaching socio-emotional skills is challenging due to their inherent complexity, the intangibility of emotions, their context-dependence, and competition with other educational priorities.
For the Colombian society, it is important to find a way to ensure a cultural transformation by transforming future generations. It is essential to ensure that the various efforts made in this regard are well-directed and yield the desired results. This is precisely what eddutrax seeks to achieve.
The Eddutrax solution serves as an effective tool for managing students' socioemotional development. Initially, it streamlines data collection through various assessment tools designed to capture a comprehensive picture of students' emotional and social development. These tools include carefully crafted surveys, questionnaires, and other data collection instruments to provide a detailed and precise insight into students' socio emotional status.
Once collected, the data undergoes thorough analysis to identify areas for improvement, strengths, and significant patterns in students' socioemotional development. The reports generated from this analysis offer educational institutions a clear and objective view of the current socioemotional landscape, enabling them to make informed and strategic decisions to enhance their students' socioemotional development.
Our solution provides educational institutions with our expertise in managing such projects, proficiency in data analytics, support in interpretation and intervention definition, and cost efficiency compared to developing a similar solution internally. Eddutrax introduces educational institutions to evidence-based socioemotional management with a focus on continuous improvement.
However, Eddutrax's solution extends beyond mere data collection and analysis. Recognizing the importance of promoting a genuine internalization of socioemotional skills in students, it incorporates actions designed to foster deep and lasting emotional development in students. This objective is achieved through the delivery of periodic messages of various types—illustrative, motivational, or reflective—on different socioemotional skills.
Eddutrax's solution is geared towards long-term impact, contributing to a cultural transformation among our students and society at large. By supporting educational institutions in socioemotional competency management, it fosters a culture of peace, equity, self-management, resilience and respect to institutions and law.

We have conducted a basic literature review, but it has neither been thorough nor structured. One of the major contributions of the LEAP project would be to help us identify relevant literature and structure it so that it becomes a valuable source of knowledge. Additionally, we have not made any empirical efforts to support our research.
Eddutrax is aware of the existence of similar solutions at the international level. However, at present, we do not have a deep bibliographic review of the theoretical basis that supports them or of effective evaluations that have been conducted on their application. This is one of the main outcomes we expect from the LEAP project.
It is contradictory that we propose evidence-based management but do not have evidence about our solution or similar solutions.
Eddutrax lacks a comprehensive document or action plan that effectively demonstrates the feasibility and advantages of our approach. We recognize the critical need for a robust document that not only outlines the core principles of our approach but also provides detailed insights into its implementation and potential impact. Such a document would serve as a guiding framework for refining and optimizing various aspects of our operational and comercial strategies. Moreover, it would serve as a valuable resource for facilitating in-depth technical discussions with government bodies and educational institutions, fostering greater understanding and buy-in from stakeholders.
Through our interactions with stakeholders, we have identified a common sentiment of interest in our approach, tempered by skepticism due to the lack of tangible evidence and structured documentation. Therefore, developing a comprehensive document that introduces the concept of evidence-based management, elucidates its practical application within our solution framework, and articulates the tangible benefits for educational institutions is critical.
This document would not only address existing skepticism but also position Eddutrax as a thought leader in evidence-based educational management solutions. While we have conducted a superficial literature review to inform our understanding, we recognize the need for a more structured and comprehensive document that aligns with our objectives and goals.
