AirFaas, an Airbnb for factories
AirFaas (Faas means ”Factory as a service”) helps manufacturers to find unused capacity in already existing factories, as an alternative to building new factories with enormous carbon footprints as a consequence.
AirFaas also allows production closer to the end markets, or even in the same country, as the end users/consumers. This eliminates unnecessary global transports.
There are basically two big problems that AirFaas solves.
1) As consumption grows, more and more factories are built, with enormous carbon footprints, from many sources, as a consequence. They come from producing building materials, transports and of course building the factory.
Solution: As an average, factories globally have more than 30% unused capacity, many factories much more. Instead of building new factories, AirFaas scans the globe, tracking down unused factory capacity everywhere, and for whatever product.
2) Global transports of products is a big problem leading to huge Co2 emissions.
Solution: With AirFaas production can be downsized and local. Instead of one big factory in China or India it is possible to move production close to end users/consumers.
It´s a ver broad spectre of the population. Primarily the businesses who are involved, then the consumers and finally all other stakeholders, basically the whole population in the region.

As described before, AirFaas eliminates huge emissions by letting manufacturers use overcapacity in existing factories instead of building new ones. As a consequence manufacturing can be local, eliminating massive global transports.
The portal doing this job is AirFaas.
This portal handles both incoming B2B purchases and works as a customer portal for sales.
Factories and subcontractors are joining each other in a global supplier portal - a digital ecosystem - with an exponentially expanding factory database.
And more suppliers or customers are joining with every new user that enters AirFaas. And they can trust each other, automatic real-time peer evaluation of factories and customers are handled inside the ecosystem – real third-party evaluations.
Manufacturers and factories will get more business through an open RFQ pool in the ecosystem - with access to interesting new business locally and globally, based on categorization.
Revision and product life-cycle management is part of the operation.
Factories will have automatic B2B webshops for products towards the customers.
And everyone can showcase their company and their products globally – and make it discoverable for new business.

- New application of an existing technology
Disruptive innovation is about new innovations that eliminates old markets - but also create new ones. The phenomenon has been around for all time, but with new technology it is going much faster.
When the sharing economy is now added to the increasing robotization, it will have major consequences for business life, but also the policy.
Manufacturing will be moved closer to the places where demand exists, and AirFaas facilitates exactly this. Production will be more small-scale, which is likely to have major consequences for, as an example, the Chinese industry and consequently the Chinese trade policy. We can also see even more aggressive Chinese acquisitions of European and American industries than before, especially the SMEs.
AirFaas facilitates exactly this service when global manufacturing is revamped. For example can the Chinese Industry easily find manufacturing resources in Europe, and very easy use AirFaas tools for vetting, RFQs, logistics, administration and financing. This new manufacturing logic also dramatically decreases emissions as a consequence of moving manufacturing into unused capacity in existing factories, and eliminating much of the global transports with it´s carbon footprint.
Airfaas has the potential to lead to the biggest increase in productivity in society since Henry Ford's mass production. When you historically look at when communities have
increased well-being and prosperity, it has always happened when productivity has increased.
And the need for sustainable production will be a main driver for this development.
The core technology are a combination of existing solutions, combined in a unique way.

- Internet of Things
It´s very easy.
The less factories that are built, the less emissions from the construction of these factories and machinery.
And with more production mad locally, there will be less global transports.
