AIbility+ from Edify
- For-profit, including B-Corp or similar models
One in 5 children globally learning differently. Many teachers might see these children as disrupters, lazy, unintelligent, or a problem. This prevents the child from positive outcomes such as belonging to a group, having a sense of self esteem, further educational opportunities and eventually, job opportunities. If the child knows about their strengths, they can focus on their unique abilities to help the child have more opportunities for not just employment, but also self determination.
Now, more people globally are becoming aware of neurotypes such as ADHD, Autism, Dyslexia, Dyscalculia and more.
Solution:
AIbility+ is an AI assessment tool that scrapes data from similar psychological education assessments and translates it to practical, individualized, strength based solutions, accommodations, best case standards, and adaptations. Most families get a report after a diagnosis - which is not thinking about what a caregiver is to do after they receive the report. They share it with the teacher and the teacher uses what little resources they have. Less than 25% have this solution accessible to them, but with AIbility+, this solution can be accessible to students worldwide.
The strengths of each child will be considered
Once the child knows what there strengths are, the teacher can know where to let the child lead and when to make the child stretch/scaffold their skills .The teachers will also be able to be part of the family's team to help support the child. All too often , parents feel blamed for their children's behaviour and the results are more pressure for the family and child. Teachers can also see that the child is able to learn and progress and may be able to adjust, accommodate, or adapt once they know the child's learning strengths.
This AI enabled tool will have language and practical tips that will show, for the first time ever, positive language in a non deficit framework, about how a child can succeed. The AIbility+ tool will also be a bridge to the Individual Education Plan, which is an inclassroom tool. This tool is a one stop shop to have parents, teachers and students be on the same, STRENGTH based, page.
