CharityQue (gratitude towards education)

COVID crises hit hard in pandemic times of Pakistan, specially to underprivileged people who were unable to bear their kids educational expenses due to global financial break down and thus huge population of these kids left schools and forced in child labor. Many other factors including gender biasness, health related issues, big family structure, single family earner, uneducated adult people in family and no moral or emotional support for those bright minds, lack of any mutual platform, no access to local or international organization, far away remote area residents, also contributed significantly to these school drop-outs. At that time, a platform was badly needed for financial and emotional support, donating school supplies, funding tuition fee and sharing mutual learning aspects between underprivileged and priviledged students. The priviledged students as donor had all the educational resources like books, school supplies, uniform, shoes, school bags and everything needed for school but they didn't knew what to do with those stuff after they've used them for one educational year and now they were not of any use for them but still were very new in condition. Unfortunately, most of these resources were ended up in landfills as garbage, scrap markets or just randomly been threw away. On the other hand, underprivileged students required lot of those stuff but didn't had any platform to ask for these stuff as donations or to borrow for certain time period along with asking for educational financial support from NGO's, organizations or high society people as recipient thus a platform was needed for both donor and recipient students to solve their problem of donating and asking required resources and so, CHARITYQUE was developed after taking digital and physical surveys of both donor and recipient groups.

https://www.unicef.org/pakista. Pakistan has the world’s second-highest number of out-of-school children (OOSC) with an estimated 22.8 million children aged 5-16 not attending school, representing 44 per cent of the total population in this age group. In the 5-9 age group, 5 million children are not enrolled in schools and after primary-school age, the number of OOSC doubles, with 11.4 million adolescents between the ages of 10-14 not receiving formal education. Disparities based on gender, socio-economic status, and geography are significant; in Sindh, 52 percent of the poorest children (58 percent girls) are out of school, and in Balochistan, 78 percent of girls are out of school. Nearly 10.7 million boys and 8.6 million girls are enrolled at the primary level and this drops to 3.6 million boys and 2.8 million girls at the lower secondary level.

CharityQue is a non-profit community based sustainable mobile android application hub which serves as a single donation platform for donors to donate their used school supplies, books, uniforms and shoes directly to the needy student recipients, charitable organization or needy schools through supply / need chain by direct communication and networking. The app would play vital role in recycling good condition used school items to serve with maximum potential thus reducing garbage and landfills. The good conditioned used school supplies can be re-use by needy kids thus minimizing wastage of resources, maintaining recycling of goods at it's full extent. It highlights the importance of using eco-stationary at educational institutes and offices too so that more trees could be saved for making pencils. Using environmental friendly stationary and reusing it wisely would impact environmental sustainability. The app also provides direct ease for recipient to ask for needed school supply items, e-lessons, queries about study subjects, scholarships, community chat help and video lessons. It would solve the problem for needy students to pace up with their studies who are willing to attend schools but have no financial aid for school supplies, scholarships or support for tuition as well as using used supplies and educational stuff would create awareness to save mother nature from more and more destruction. It would also help to involve various giant organizations which are working for educational and environmental awareness in Pakistan but lacks proper platform to reach out authentic donors and recipients.  The project primarily was an android mobile app prototype made on MIT App Inventor which is now under process of Flutter conversion as final google playstore app and official website once it would establish trust among people. It would then be available in all 4 Pakistan's province languages along with Urdu and English for better facilitation and avoid language barriers locally along with google voice searches options. It would be easy for underprivileged students to communicate and take advantage by technology so that learning and taking care of environment would never stops! 

The project aligned with all 3 components of ESG. The project effects as environmental management system by reducing landfills of good conditioned school bags, study materials, uniform, shoes, school supplies by recycling more and more. The project's social impact is to provide human right and equal opportunity to every child regardless of his/her gender and financial status to continue their educational journey by sharing, caring and mutual efforts to help needy kids with their studies by providing free online tuitions involving volunteer students via help forum. The project has multi-dimensional governance approach versions as free to use open source playstore app for public and very nominal paid subscription for organizations and corporates. The project showcases well-defined community and stakeholder engagement mechanism like encourage communities and societies to donate instead of throwing away good conditioned stuff thus creating network of donor and recipient as well as minimizing landfills. Also motivate people to participate in donation drives to donate, buy and use eco-stationary so that 5 Rs concept would be brought to highlight the importance of sustainable and eco-friendly stationary usage. The NGOs organizations would also make networks with other non-profit organizations and work together for 5 Rs on community level.

We are confident to deliver this solution first to our community, then to our country, then on global scale because we designed the product as non profit for public especially for underprivileged students to learn, share, seek knowledge and then spread it forward where required thus the chain of mutual learning, support and help regains more and more powerful, reaching each and every corner of this world regardless of gender, race, cast, religion, language or politics.

We have had spent 3 straight years to bring this project to life from prototype made on MIT App Inventor to partial functional flutter coded android mobile app, available for free downloading from google playstore. There would be more features added it frequently to make it not just an app but a powerful resource app for all, making communities and societies be aware of not only educational but advanced technology skills learning too. The app would soon see another tab named Tech Education where mutual resources, useful learning tech links, quizzes, courses would be available along with free workshops from registered users for everyone using the app or use the website.

The app is recently in process of uploading to google playstore in few days and then would allow for testing across different communities and social networks. It is also to be highlighted that the app is seeking seed funding to enhance it's features thus creating a little team to hire more flutter developers to prompt different features within it along with me as founder of the product. In parallel, more and more surveys and queries regarding educational hurdles within communities be pointed so that the app would be updated and upgraded gradually. The app has won regional semifinalist position in Technovation Girls Global Challenge 2022 among 56 participant countries and has won top national P@SHA ICT GOLD AWARD 2023 in Pakistan being unique, creative, diverse and powerful innovational project. I am approaching SOLVE to have social and global media coverage so to join hands with brands or partners worldwide and getting positive useful network and connections through which I could promote my product globally and get attention of mutual beneficial organizations to spread this concept to more regions. Cultural barriers would also collapse once I stand on a platform of SOLVE where diverse culture, region and religion are all welcomed.

Also through SOLVE, I may be get any financial assistance needed for my pilot scale project to kick start to startup level. 

The solution is innovative because in Pakistan, not a single digital donating and educational hub is available for collecting, receiving used school supplies as well as educational learning hub mostly been used by youth students who will be teachers to those needy kids who need assistance in learning, are home schoolers, want to learn free tech skills as well as in need of any other school fee, scholarship, tuition fee, exams fee or any other financial assistance. Due to this solution being on finger tips, donating anything is so easy, hassle-free and without need of physically moving from home instead everything is done with direct communication of donor and recipient as registered members of the app to secure transparency, safety, authenticity and privacy.

The app would be a perfect solution for the problem of no donation drives in schools, local communities, charity events and cities as people don't have time, motivation, no authenticity check and don't want to travel to find needy students because of lack of proper network between underprivileged students, privileged students, non-profit organizations, NGO's, government institutes, social service providers, international donors, local recipients, needy remote areas residents and all those making this donating receiving ecosystem within community. Once the app would make it's place in market as the only multi-dimensional educational hub, soon it's website would be launched to cater more and more people and help them to find right person to donate to. Also, the recipient would easily have access to number of donor options as sources to provide.

My impact goals would be to minimize hurdles in educational journey faced by needy talented students due to their financial instability, gender equality to access free education, no poverty as educated people maintains their lives, sustainability by eco-stationary concept, recycling used good conditioned stuff, minimizing landfills from educational scrap, more value for available resources, spreading not only academics but technology skills learning like AI & ML, motivating people to donate frequently from the comfort of their homes, keeping one's privacy to make them feel good about themselves, positive vibes for involving young senior students to teach junior home schoolers or needy kids online without disturbing their own educational routine, educational lessons of almost all subjects, networking of like-mind students or group of learners, involving giant social service organization and using their network to reach to remote areas, no language barriers, involvement of AI, multi-language features, speech search, announcements of donation drives in nearby community of registered users, students or community people organizing their own small scale donation drives for not only school stuff but daily routine stuff to donate.

The solution is basically an android mobile pilot scale app made on flutter language as open to use source for public but with very minimal charges for corporate beta version. The app could easily be downloaded from google playstore although for apple store, it requires some little more time to create in parallel to corporate version. After getting positive results from casual public, the app then move on to have website too. Right now it' in waiting from google console to be registered.
