The lack of basic computer, and technology-related activities in " Early Childhood Development Programs".

When it comes to the role of technology in the early childhood education years it can be a bit of a controversial topic. While some people may think that young children don’t need technology, it can play a positive role in a child’s learning, and development. In today’s technology-heavy world, learning how to use it is a necessary life skill. Technology provides early educators with unlimited access to newer, more innovative, and teaching modules.
Developmentally appropriate use of technology can help young children grow and learn, especially when families and early educators play an active role. Early learners use technology to explore new worlds, make-believe, and actively engage in fun and challenging activities.
Technology also plays a crucial role in Early Childhood Development Programs by solving various problems and enhancing the learning experience for young children. Here are some ways technology helps in this field:
1. Personalized Learning: Technology allows for personalized learning experiences tailored to each child's needs, interests, and learning pace. Educational apps and programs can adapt to individual abilities, providing targeted support and challenges. 2. Engagement and Motivation: Interactive games, videos, and educational apps can make learning fun and engaging for young children, keeping them motivated to explore and learn new concepts. 3. Access to Resources: Technology provides access to a vast array of educational resources, including digital books, videos, and interactive learning tools, which can supplement traditional teaching methods and enhance the learning environment. 4. Parent-Teacher Communication: Technology facilitates communication between parents and teachers, allowing for regular updates on a child's progress, sharing of resources and strategies, and collaboration on educational goals. 5. Monitoring Progress: Digital tools can help teachers track and monitor a child's progress more effectively, allowing for early identification of learning challenges and the implementation of targeted interventions.
6 . Inclusivity: Technology can help create a more inclusive learning environment by providing accessibility features for children with disabilities and offering multilingual resources to support children from diverse backgrounds. Overall, technology in Early Childhood Development Programs helps address various challenges by providing innovative solutions that enhance learning outcomes and create a more engaging and personalized educational experience for young children.
.Eden Group of Companies has been partnering with governmental, and non-governmental institutions over the years to ensure that” All Deaf students have basic computer and technology-related skills before leaving high school in Liberia, and Sierra Leone.
The lack of technology in the classroom in these countries is causing a lot of challenges in the educational sectors in these countries which is why we are working tirelessly to incorporate technology in the classroom in Early Childhood Development programs and High schools including Sunday school activity at churches.
What is your solution & What does it do?
By incorporating basic computer, and technology activities in Early Childhood Development programs early learners will have the opportunity to Personalize learning, Engagement and motivation, Access to resources, Parent-teacher, communication, monitor student progress, and Inclusivity encourages all students to participate in their classroom activities. If the basic computer and technological activities are incorporated in the Early Childhood Development program. It will help solve our various challenges by providing innovative solutions that enhance learning outcomes and create a more engaging and personalized educational experience for early learners and young children.
How will it work & What technology it use?
Over the years, Eden Group Of Companies has been engaging the national government through the Ministry of Education to make it mandatory for all schools operating in Liberia, and on the authority of the Ministry of Education to have a standardized Computer lab where, in basic computer and technology activities, will be taught from kindergarten one to 12 grade. Where Teachers can have access to educational content from Khan Academy, Global Learning Foundation, YouTube, and Google to ensure students, have a better understanding of the subject under discussion. Eden Group Of Companies in her capacity has been developing technology and basic computer curriculum for the Deaf and school. When this bill is passed into law schools will focus on the improvement of technology and the government will support grants funding to standardized labs in local community schools as well as government and private schools after a year or two technological activities will be used, in our education sector wildly.
Who does your solution serve?
Eden Group of Companies has strongly provided technological education for Deaf students of school-going ages in Liberia and Freetown. Incorporating technology and basic computers in the classroom at Deaf school will provide the best start in life, a safe place to learn, and a skill for the future.
Our solution focuses more on the Deaf community, especially the deaf Students of school-going ages.
What ways will the solution impact their lives?
It is so saddening to say that persons living with disabilities in Liberia, especially the deaf community are not being cared for, and this has been a long-standing issue.
Most Deaf students after graduating from high school, do not have the financial capability to enroll in a university or vocational program. In Liberia, the Deaf students who currently have access to university and education, are less than ten. We at Eden Group of Companies, believe that if basic computer and technology-related activities can be incorporated into the classroom.
Deaf students can start having basic computer skills at the tender age of they have graduated from high school, and their skills in basic computers can empower them to provide for themselves and their families by even starting a local typing business on the roadside.
How are you and your team well-positioned to deliver this solution?
