In the past, there have been many accidental scientific discoveries. Some of those discoveries had the impact to change the course of humanity e.g., X-Ray, Penicillin, Microwave, Teflon, Viagra, Vaseline, Match Sticks, Corn flakes, etc. Even if we consider the case of Penicillin - a single invention - that has saved millions of lives since its invention, we may come to realize it was discovered as a result of the mere carelessness of a researcher. If that medicine had been discovered earlier deliberately, it would have saved many more lives. More importantly, there are many inventions today that are waiting for such fortunate incidents to happen to be discovered.
There is always one key element in all of the accidental and deliberate discoveries of the past and today - Inter- or intra-disciplinary knowledge. However, such occurrences of inter- or intra-disciplinary inventions are low because:
1) Conventional scientific research is manual and tedious - requires finding the right keywords, exploring different articles, reading them, etc.
2) Lack of inter- and intra-disciplinary activities (especially the perspective to apply to industrial problems)
3) Inefficient in a way that humans are limited to reading, analyzing, or formulating a few hypotheses at a time.
4) In traditional research, it can be difficult for researchers to keep up with all of the latest developments in their field, let alone other fields that may be relevant to their work.

The trend of academic software support services is increasing at a promising rate of 7.8% CAGR. The 7.8% CAGR in academic software support services is primarily a result of the ongoing digital transformation in education, the complexity of modern educational software, the shift towards online and personalized learning, and the growing importance of data analytics and cybersecurity in the education sector. These macro trends are likely to continue driving growth in this industry in the coming years.This clearly shows the market potential of Goddard's target market ie, the research community.
In light of the above limitations, we propose a better way of scientific research automated by AI. We have developed an AI-enabled platform that can assist researchers in their day-to-day activities. Being a computation algorithm, it can read and infer thousands of articles in a blink of an eye and then visually present the personalized results to a researcher in the form of key points, hypotheses, and links among interdisciplinary knowledge (researchers working on those domains as well as their demographics) to save his/her time.

It can help close opportunity gaps in academic settings for secondary learners and teachers (especially for marginalized groups) in several following ways:
1. Inventia-AI can help level the playing field by providing students from all backgrounds with access to high-quality educational resources and a research eco-system.
2.It learns and tailors the experience to each student's prior knowledge, learning styles, linguistic competency, and requirements with the help of his/her personalized data. A diverse pool of teachers, students, and learning scientists in-loop will assist in data labeling, guiding the improvements in the AI responses, and most importantly, reporting scientific results inferred from the whole process. Students (with non-native English or weak student background) can get AI-generated explanations of the background topics or redirections to necessary knowledge resources to understand targeted topics in the best possible way. Thus, closing the learning gap among users. Likewise, teachers with weak professional development or knowledge gaps could get redirection to up-to-date research and insights from students’ learning patterns to craft their teaching style and curriculum.
3. The proposed platform uses AI to reduce knowledge bias and promote diversity of knowledge. Inventia-AI can help students access scientific knowledge from all demographics, share knowledge and collaborate to put their perspectives in view.

1) Save time for the academic community and ensure efficient R&D: In the academic community, lots of time is wasted on products/ concepts /ideas already available due to limited knowledge. Therefore, our discovery platform will enable researchers and scientists to know about available data quickly. More importantly, our discovery platform will pitch them related hypotheses, ideas, products, projects, etc., ensuring faster progress in all domains and economic progress.
2) Efficient peer-to-peer and business-to-business connection: Many times, we wish for the availability of things, we might think are unavailable but are available. The team from Goddard - Discovery consists of professionals mainly from the field of artificial intelligence having extensive experience in developing solutions for a wide plethora of applications. Our idea is to train the network and have that agent understand extensive 8 knowledge from multiple fields. I, Ammar Abbas, am pursuing an Industrial Ph.D. from Austria while applying artificial intelligence to industrial safety systems. I believe in the business model that focuses more on the growth of the entire society, a product that can grow to a large scale and help serve the people around us.
Muhammad Affan is pursuing a Master’s degree in intelligent robotics from France and Spain while having extensive experience in research and development in the same field. He is passionate about research and development, and the benefits it could bring to humanity. He witnessed and observed that almost every field is being automated except the research workflow itself so he wanted to facilitate those (researchers) who are working hard to discover things to make people's lives better and tackle the pressing issues of today's era (e.g., water scarcity, deforestation, air pollution, etc.) and enhance fairness in academic research by reducing human bias through automation.
Huzaifa Habib and Saad Hasib have 4+ years of experience in MERN stack, Git, Cloud Services, and Machine Learning. Therefore we have a strong interdisciplinary team with relevant backgrounds. We are striving to include everyone in the latest and greatest scientific breakthroughs by providing intelligence in each step of their research process.
Muhammad Haris Shakeel is a first-generation high school student with an interest in astrophysics. He is leading a community service society, aiming to increase awareness about environmental issues. Furthermore, he has led World Space Week in his school for two years, spreading awareness about space to over 1000 people. He has led various competitions and summer programs, including StemX and the National Science Bowl. Haris works with us to provide ideas on how to focus our product to help high school students, as he himself comes from a low-income household and is experienced with issues faced by students from marginalised communities.
There are other employees and interns at Goddard-Discovery who work to facilitate the company’s smooth operation in the areas of business development, software engineering, backend, AI development, etc.
User Feedback, Case studies, and Testimonials: We are currently gathering the user feedback on the software (from academicians, students, engineers, and researchers). With continuous improvement, we want to undertake a case study to numerically evaluate the effectiveness of the Inventia-AI platform. This will allow us with the factual results of improvement in R&D capacity with or without our software. Additionally, we plan to record testimonials about user experience. Positive user reviews and success stories will be incorporated into promotional materials, websites, and publications to build trust and credibility.

Our progress includes the successful development and integration of five distinct tools into our application. Looking ahead, we are committed to enhancing these current features, introducing new functionalities, and securing legal registration through the Securities & Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP). We already have launched the Beta version of the software on our website .
The tentative number of monthly users on average is around 300. While we have not yet established a customer base that pays for our services, we have opted to introduce our premium features on our beta version at no cost during a limited time period.
We are raising 1M USD and so far we have raised around $80,000 USD through bootstrapping, fundings, grants, and credits since 2021. We forecast a revenue projection of 10M USD in 5 years with proper investment and funding.
I have observed that to go beyond greatness you must have an effective team and the right direction. I want a ladder with a very strong and firm base leaning towards the right wall to climb the steps of success. All of these traits are provided by this program by finding the co-founders and being directed by the best mentors. If you have that, success will eventually follow. There are many programs but none is like this where you just need an overwhelmingz ambition, enthusiasm, and confidence to persist along this entrepreneurial journey.

Inventia AI will make a significant impact in the education domain in pakistan. Goddard has enormous potential for commercialization at the National/International scale and subsequently, contributes not only to employment creation, economic growth, tech revolution, and attraction of AI practitioners but also to ensure sustainably and applied scientific research. For instance, the Goddard platform could enable interdisciplinary research on pressing environmental issues (e.g., water scarcity, deforestation, air pollution, etc.) to come up with indigenous solutions to those problems by connecting all relevant researchers or environmentalists in one place. Likewise, Goddard can enhance fairness in academic research and employability by bringing into limelight the women researchers. Goddard also strives for equal employment opportunities irrespective of race, gender, and other specificities.
track metrics around user engagement and retention :
We have 427 page views and 348 user engagements on our website for this month of August 2023. However, the page views for the Inventia AI web application are 383, and engaged users are 45. Notably, over the past 42 days, our website has maintained a user retention rate of 33.3% whereas on the application this rate ranges from 100% to 50% at max, out of which 21 are new users and 10 are returning users.

We are using customized natural language algorithms such as transformer and sequential models, and unsupervised algorithms for tasks such as clustering, semantic inference, and entity recognition within the scientific corpora. For algorithm development purposes, we are primarily using the python programming language and AWS EC2 Instance for cloud computing with Jinja, Tensorboard, Tqdm, Transformers, Spacy, Tensorflow, LSGNData, SRLModel, Sbert, Sklearn, Numpy, Pandas, Beautiful soup, and other Data cleaning libraries are used. At the moment, we are utilizing IEEE and Rest API.
The UI / UX design and validation are carried out on Adobe XD, Illustrator, Photoshop, and similar software. Afterward, we undergo frontend development, we use the stack of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React.js, Electron Js, Node Js, Express Js, MongoDB along with libraries among which some are React-Force-Graph, AMCharts, ChartJS(planned), AMMaps. For deployment, we are using Heroku, AWS lambda, AWS Amplify, and controlling version via Git/Github.
