Children in remote areas are hardly getting good educational materials. Mostly they only have a few books with limited subjects and media. To have good quality of materials, they need computers, electrical power, and internet connection, which is not available in remote areas. It has been years in Indonesia that children in remote areas has been dreaming for having multimedia educational contents and a chance to know better about the world outside their village. It seems this dream will stay like that for another decade. Meanwhile, we are waiting for uncertain promises from the government about electrical power and internet connection, we are determined to bring the world to them.
We plan to visit at least 25 villages to bring the world for at least 500 children around Indonesia in a year. In the long term, we would like to scale it 10 times to this first attempt while improving our methods and contents. We would like to extend our mission to at least 5 more countries in the world. So eventually we are going to bring world to the world.
We will make a 3D Virtual World system with educational contents such as historical site replicas, science simulation, and other STEM contents and We Will take this system to remote villages around Indonesia so children in remote areas can learn about the world in an immersive way like they are really on site. So we are going to bring the world to them.
This 3D virtual world, is known by many as metaverse or 3D open-world computer game. But we are going to make this system locally complete so no need for internet connection for that. Only a few computers, VR headset, big screen or projector, and electric power genset, then we bring it to underutilized remote villages in Indonesia. The facility can be access using regular PC and VR equipped PC for an immersive experience. There will be thematic islands that children can visit. Each island can tell stories about places around the world, or explain science in simulated environments or other information and knowledge pools. Children will visit those many places with curated guidance from our team.
We target on the children that live in remote villages that have difficult or even no electrical power and telecommunication facilities. There are a lot of villages like that in Indonesia.
Our team members consist people that experienced in virtual world (metaverse) development, education, and the team leader actively working in a foundation that serves coconut farmers community that lives in remote area. Some of us lived in remote area for years, so we know the problems and obstacles for children who live in remote areas to get a decent and proper education.
- Ensure that all children are learning in good educational environments, particularly those affected by poverty or displacement.
- 4. Quality Education
- Prototype
We’ve already built online virtual world environment that consists of several islands on each system with educational contents. Those systems have been running for 2 years. Our products have been used by 5 schools and 2 higher education institutions, and so far the responses are amazing, and prospects are very promising. Our products have been used by at least 400 students and 130 teachers from 5 cities. There were about a hundred different topics have been discussed in our virtual worlds.
We would like our creation to reach the children that have no good electrical and internet access by taking it to them. There are a lot of children in many remote villages who don’t have the same chances to touch the knowledge and technology as those who live in cities. Many times our heart feels sliced watching this inequality. Some others already helped, but in conventional ways such as sending books for them. But that is not enough, they are left further and further away. The help needs a faster pace to keep those children left out of current technology, science, and knowledge.
Those requirements end up in financial needs.
We also need to improve our technical knowledge and skills as well as pedagogy methods. Some extra courses, seminars, and workshops on many topics will bring benefits to us.
Next, to help the sustainability of it, we need more exposure and connection to the educational market.
We can use monetary help, sponsor for tools, servers, and internet connection, and help with exposure such as endorsement and connection to educational and government institutions.
- Financial (e.g. accounting practices, pitching to investors)
- Technology (e.g. software or hardware, web development/design)
We use trending technology that is familiar to modern kids, namely metaverse, VR, and multiplayer computer games. Then we integrate those technologies with educational needs to produce immersive and fun learning facilities.
However, like metaverse and multiplayer virtual world games, they generally require a good internet connection and electricity supply. To be able to provide these facilities in remote areas that do not have these infrastructures, we innovate further to transform the facility into integrated physical infrastructure equipped with a portable electrical generator and storage to supply the entire system off the grid. Then we will bring all the facilities and infrastructure to children in remote areas.
With immersive content about the world, we bring story of the world beyond their village to children with no access to such technology.
Right now, we want that the children that live in remote area to have equal chance to touch and learn from current technology to other children in regular cities. The problem is that many remote location has poor technology infrastructure, especially electrical power and internet.
Our solution is to bring the things they need without forcing or waiting the external cause to be ready. We don’t need to involve many parties that responsible to provide the infrastructure. We also do not aim for sustaining infrastructures that will need maintenance and extensive support, it won’t work on remote areas like that. It is better that they have the complete and working ecosystem in short times, it will bring real result and outcome as expected.
We will try to revisit those villages in certain periods to get greater impact from our efforts.
Our impact goal is for children that live in remote areas so they get a chance to touch one of the latest technology that is metaverse/virtual world. They can also learn about the world beyond their village and learn many things using that technology even though they live in an environment with minimal supporting infrastructure.
For that goal, we set a target to visit 25 remote villages to bring the world and metaverse technology to the children there. And to achieve that, first, we have to make the metaverse system to enable everything we aim for.
Then we have to build a few sets of physical hardware that consist of the server, client hardware, power generator, and power storage. All in a compact form factor, as compact as possible to be able to transport them to hard-to-reach remote villages. This stage will spend about 2 months of our time
After ready with the infrastructure, we will contact the chief/head of the village or partners that are available in target locations. We will arrange the time and accommodation to do the main task on this project, that is being there with the technology we have.
To make it achievable, we are going to split into 3 teams and take a turn on visiting the targetted villages. We aim to visit about 5 villages every 2 months, so we can deliver our goal and target in 10 months.
That way, we will take a year to finish our goal. We will report our progress on social media, our website, and YouTube.
We use computer gaming technology that is taken to the next level so it becomes what people call as metaverse. It has a 3D graphic environment that is accessible to multiple users and everyone and everything interact in real time. User can even access the environment using VR devices that create an even more immersive experience. The 3D objects can be scripted for animation and interaction, giving the opportunity to create an immersive learning module that will be much more effective when psychology and pedagogy work together to create an extraordinary learning experience.
Next, we are going to pack those in a compact server and client PC by using mini PC or single board computers. Of course, there has to be backup hardware to ensure the plan's reliability.
For power generators and storage, we are going to use a fueled power generator and solar cells with batteries for power storage.
When possible, we are going to prepare a mobile satellite station for data communication as additional service to deliver.

14 people.
3 years.
We do not have any staff so all team members are equal. All team members are individuals with their unique competencies that complement each other. In term of social and ethnic backgrounds, there is diversity but we treat each other as equals.
Each team member gets a role, responsibility, and benefits according to each individual's potential. In our team, all members have the same opportunity to express opinions and everyone gets appreciation for their respective contributions.
We will operate base on donation. When our first year runs, we will show the world through social media and multimedia platform such as YouTube about our work and the impact we make. We will show how it is possible to tackle the long time problem that our country has. By showing our success stories, we hope to raise the awareness and interest from any other parties to donate and help our operation.
- Organizations (B2B)
The most important thing to do is make it work, make it run, and make it publicly viral. Typical of our government work, especially those in remote areas as we know very well they ultimately would support any programs that are positively viral, celebrated, and have the credits to them. And that is exactly what we are going to do. We will work hard for this, give some credit and publication to the local governments, and they will support us very well. With their support, we also will get a CSR endorsement channel by the government to corporations across the country. That way we will have support and donations from the government and CSRs that will follow the sustainability of our program.
