the problem of getting healthcare services to patients who can not move to the nearest hospital, those include elderly people and patients with physical challenges, we also want to solve the problem of lack follow up system for patients with chronic diseases like diabetes milletus, hypertension and heart diseases.

in 2022 Egypt had more than 6.9 million elderly people, the latest study showed that Egypt had 10 million citizen who has disabilities either mental or physical.

Dr.biet is a platform that provides integrated medical service at home for those patients that find difficulty in getting to clinic or hospital, it provides doctors from different specialties, nursing services and investigation services either laboratory or radiological, all of this from the comfort of their home.

it uses a software that match the patients with nearest available service providers, so the patients does not have to wait for too long.

we are going to help elderly people, people with physical challenges and those post operative and trauma patients, we are provide them with the healthcare service they need without having to struggle with transportation and overcrowded hospitals.

now they have to struggle with transportation either private or ambulance and have to wait at the hospital or clinic for the doctor.

the team lead David is a doctor working in the Egyptian healthcare system here in Egypt for over 4 years now, he has a good experience in understanding the Egyptian patients especially the elderly population, he understands the obstacles facing them to have a professional healthcare service without suffering in transportation and overcrowded hospitals.

so we designed our solution to provide an integrated healthcare service "as if the patient went to a hospital" from the comfort of their home.

they can get consulted and examined by doctors from different specialties, nursing services and investigation services like laboratory tests and radiological examination, all from the comfort of their home. 

we have just built our initial version of our website "www.drbiet.com" , we are targeting cairo first focusing on two neighborhood where there are too many elder citizen living with chronic diseases.

we have launched for 1 week now and have served 5 patients so far.

First, we know that money is not our only obstacle in making Dr.biet a  successful venture, we are applying to Solve for the sake of getting mentoring in the business field, in making a good marketing strategy to penetrate the market and how to make an awareness campaign.

we need also some technical support to develop our platform in order to be able to handle as many requests as possible.

we are approaching the problem with a solution that is integrated which means that we will provide the elderly patient ( and any patient that can not move to the hospital) with all services that he or she can have at the hospital, starting from doctors from different specialties, nurses, laboratory test and radiological investigations.

we also aim to provide patients with chronic disease ( DM, HTN, cardiac) with special home packages which includes doctors from different concerned specialties and tests to insure that his quality of living is not affected by this chronic disease. 

our solution will make getting professional healthcare for elderly population and chronic patients easier, they will not have to struggle with difficult transportation.

we will also make following up chronic illnesses more easier as they will be able to have it from the comfort of their homes.

my impact goal is to get the hospital (with 80% of its services) to the patients at home, they do not have to suffer with reaching to the hospital or the healthcare service instead we are getting all the services to them.

we have been working for 2 months on Dr.biet

our team so far has 2 male co founders and 1 female co founder, we are all now of medical, marketing and operation background but we are planning to give space for more technical and female participants to share us the dream of Dr.biet.

A) our operating strategy includes matching the patients who have just requested a visit or any of our service with one of our service providers who we have already enrolled in our service providers data, with enough service providers and good operation system we will be able to reach our patients in a very short time in efficient way.

B) we will reach our service providers through many channels, social media, social connections as two of our founders have medical background already, our target is to reach as many service providers as possible to be able to be efficient in time and quality. we will depend on bootstrap method and aiming in the future to reach some investors to help us reach our ultimate target.

at the beginning we depend on our savings, then at this stage we are trying to participate in competitions and grants to help us finance our project.

we have participated already in one competition and have won and gained a prize with financial support which helps us go along our road.
