Road transport is now the largest and growing source of carbon emissions in Kenya, The government of Kenya is yet to implement mandatory emissions testing for all vehicles. the delay has left Kenyans exposed to toxins that are poisoning and killing many. Usafiri will offer to build and grow affordable electric and solar powered cars. This will reduce the pollution impact from diesel and petrol powered cars in Kenya. To achieve the affordable electric Vehicles we will offer conversion services, where we will replace petrol engines with an appropriate electric motor. According to WHO (2016), there are 20 Million cases of respiratory diseases reported in Kenyan health facilities. Usafiri will directly reduce the impact of air pollution in Kenya. We will work with Kenyan Citizens and the relevant regulatory bodies to create awareness and help in the adoption of the zero emission vehicles. Usafiri will involve a typical conversion that will use a DC controller and a DC motor. We will allow people to decide what voltage the system will run at typically predetermined voltage . The voltage decision controls how many batteries the car will need, and what sort of motor and controller the car will use. We will have a "donor vehicle" that will act as the platform for the conversion. The donor vehicle will be a normal gasoline-powered car that gets converted to electric. Usafiri will use solar panels which will supplement that power either using a battery, solar panels to recharge batteries or run auxiliary systems for the car’s battery power. This will include a solar panel installation that will make use of renewable solar energy.

Usafiri uses Solar power which is a renewable and clean . It eliminates the use of fossil fuels, which are the primary source of greenhouse gases and the leading engine of global warming. The sun's energy abundant and available everywhere. Solar power is completely sustainable and environmentally friendly in most every way.
