The problem we are addressing is the significant lack of accessible and comprehensive women's healthcare services in the MENA region. This issue arises due to various barriers, including cultural norms, limited resources, and insufficient healthcare infrastructure. As a result, millions of women in the region struggle to access essential healthcare information and services tailored to their specific needs. This problem is not confined to the MENA region alone but has global implications. Women worldwide face similar challenges in accessing adequate reproductive healthcare, leading to preventable health complications and even mortality. According to UNICEF, nearly 40% of maternal deaths globally occur in the Middle East and North Africa region, underscoring the urgent need for improved reproductive healthcare services. Several factors contribute to this problem, including cultural taboos surrounding women's health, inadequate healthcare infrastructure, limited education, and economic disparities. These barriers disproportionately affect marginalized communities, exacerbating existing inequalities in healthcare access and outcomes. Hanar addresses these challenges by providing a culturally sensitive and comprehensive healthcare platform designed to empower women to prioritize their health and well-being. Through features such as period tracking, fertility monitoring, pregnancy support, virtual clinics, and access to a medical library, Hanar aims to bridge the gap in healthcare access and empower women to make informed decisions about their health. Our solution is not only tailored to the specific needs of women in the MENA region but also adaptable to global contexts where similar challenges exist. By offering accessible information and services, Hanar strives to improve health outcomes and reduce disparities in healthcare access for women, both locally and globally.
Our solution, HANAR Health, is a one-stop platform for women's health in the MENA region. It offers expert tools for tracking menstrual cycles, fertility, and pregnancy, along with eco-friendly hygiene products and mental health support. We're also integrating AI technology to enhance user experience, including a chatbot for answering questions and other AI tools to streamline the platform. HANAR Health encourages women to manage their health conveniently and reliably.
In the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region, women often face significant challenges in accessing healthcare and managing their health-related needs so, Hanar helps women in the MENA region access the healthcare they need. Many women face challenges due to a lack of information and support for their reproductive health. Hanar provides educational resources, tools for tracking health, pregnancy support, and access to healthcare professionals. By using our app, women can make informed decisions about their health, leading to better outcomes and reduced stigma. Hanar also reaches underserved communities with affordable services and free mental health support, ensuring that all women can access care. Overall, Hanar aims to positively impact women's lives by encouraging them to take control of their health.
Our team is well-positioned to deliver this solution because we have a deep understanding of the needs and challenges faced by the communities we aim to serve. As founders, we are directly connected to the target population, and our experiences have shaped the design and implementation of our solution. Firstly, as the Team Lead, I have personally experienced the challenges and stigma surrounding women's health in our target communities. Growing up in the Middle East, I witnessed firsthand the lack of accessible and culturally sensitive healthcare services for women. This inspired me to create Hanar, a platform that addresses the unique healthcare needs of women in the region. Furthermore, our team is diverse and representative of the communities we serve. We have 5 team members from various cultural backgrounds, ethnicities & gender, who bring their insights and perspectives to the table. This diversity ensures that our solution is culturally relevant and responsive to the needs of our target population. In designing and implementing our solution, we have actively sought input from the communities we serve. We have conducted focus groups and surveys to understand the challenges and preferences of women regarding their healthcare. This input has guided our decision-making process and shaped the features and services offered by Hanar. Overall, our team's proximity to the target population, coupled with our diverse perspectives and community engagement efforts, uniquely positions us to design and deliver a solution that meets the specific needs of women in the MENA region.

We're applying to Solve because we believe they can help us in more ways than just raising funds. We're looking for support in overcoming specific barriers we face. For example, in technical help, Solve can connect us with experts who can help us use AI technology effectively in our platform. This includes making sure our AI tools work well and keeping user data safe. Additionally, Solve's network can help us reach new markets outside the MENA region, allowing us to grow our platform and reach a broader audience. Solve can also provide advice on ensuring our platform is sensitive to different cultures and meets everyone's needs. Eventually, Solve will help us find partners and connect with other organizations that want to contribute to improving women's health. This could involve working together on projects or seeking advice from them. We believe Solve can provide valuable help in these areas, and we're excited to work with them to make our platform even better.

What makes Our solution special and innovative is that we cover all aspects of women's health in one place. Hanar is an app that helps women track their periods, fertility, and pregnancy, while also offering a safe way to store their data, access hygiene products, connect with a virtual clinic, and read up on medical information. This all-in-one approach changes how women take care of their health. Instead of using different apps or services for different needs, Hanar brings everything together in a simple, easy-to-use app. Unlike other solutions that only focus on one part of women's health, Hanar looks at the whole picture. By putting everything in one app, Hanar makes it easier for women to stay healthy at every step of their reproductive journey. Our solution doesn't just stop at providing information and tools; it also aims to empower women by giving them the resources and support they need to make informed decisions about their health. Hanar isn't just about helping individual women—it has the potential to make a bigger impact. By giving women a private space to track their health and connect with professionals, Hanar is working to improve women's overall well-being. Plus, by using technology in new ways, Hanar is shaking up the healthcare industry. Instead of sticking to the old, fragmented system, Hanar offers a modern, user-focused experience that could change how women approach their health for the better. Overall, Hanar is leading the way in transforming women's healthcare.
Our solution's goal is to make a big difference in women's healthcare. Our solution helps women take better care of their reproductive health and fosters a sense of self-efficacy.
Our app enables women to effortlessly track their menstrual cycles, fertility, and pregnancy status, delivering personalized insights. This information empowers proactive reproductive health decisions.
Our solution keeps women's health info safe and easy to find with secure data storage. This lets women control their own health info, keeping it private and making smart choices.
Our online clinic links women with healthcare experts, including mental health support. This quick access to professional help tackles any issues women might have, boosting their overall wellness.
Moreover, Hanar's large medical library offers lots of info in different languages. This helps women learn about reproductive health, birth control, and more. Having this info right away lets women make smart choices about their health.
In the future, we think these things will make good things happen. By giving women knowledge, help, and healthcare, we think their reproductive health will get better. People will know more, and there will be less shame about women's health.
Overall, we believe that when women have what they need, like info and support, they can make good choices about their health. This can make them feel better and have a good effect on their lives.
Our main goal is to make a big change in women's healthcare in the MENA region. In the future, we want to reach all women in the region, no matter where they come from, so they can use our healthcare platform. To do this, we have some plans. First, we want to tell women more about their health, especially about periods and having babies. We hope this will help them make better choices about their health. Next, we want to open shops in different parts of the region where women can buy our products. These shops will have everything women need during their periods. Lastly, we want to give back to the community. We'll use some of the money we make to give free sanitary pads to women who need them. This way, all women can have access to what they need for their periods, no matter how much money they have. To see if we're making progress, we'll keep track of a few things. We'll count how many women we talk to during our campaigns, how many countries we expand to, and how many pads we give away for free. We want to see more women getting the care and products they need. That's how we'll know we're making a real difference in women's healthcare in the MENA region.
Our solution, Hanar, is powered by a combination of digital technologies, including mobile applications, artificial intelligence (AI), and virtual healthcare platforms. The Hanar app serves as the primary interface for users to access educational resources, track menstrual cycles and fertility, receive pregnancy support, and engage in virtual healthcare consultations. AI algorithms within the app provide insights based on user data, enhancing the user experience and improving health outcomes. Additionally, our virtual healthcare platform connects users with qualified healthcare professionals for consultations and support, leveraging digital communication technologies to overcome geographical barriers and increase access to care. By harnessing the power of digital technologies, Hanar aims to revolutionize women's healthcare in the Middle East and North Africa region, improving accessibility, affordability, and quality of care for all users.

Our plan for financial sustainability involves a multi-pronged approach to generate revenue and cover our operational costs. We are leveraging various strategies:
1. Product and Service Sales: We generate income by selling hygiene products and subscriptions to our healthcare platform. Additionally, we offer virtual clinic services where users can access healthcare consultations and support.
2. Investment: We are actively seeking investment funding to scale our operations and reach a larger audience. This investment will enable us to expand our services and improve our platform.
To date, we have secured some initial funding through personal investments from our founders and small grants from aligned organizations.
Moving forward, we will continue to diversify our revenue streams and expand our user base to ensure long-term financial sustainability. Our goal is for our revenue streams to cover our expected expenses as we grow and scale our operations.
