The current traditional method of drying the body is a method that is used by everyone who takes a shower in the world and can afford a towel.
A body dryer eliminates the constant, smelly annoyance. What’s more, it reduces the laundry cycles necessary to keep fresh towels in the bathroom. This equates to tons of time saved in the laundry room—not to mention less waste and a smaller water bill.
This question along many others is what we specialize in answering here at Atacama Tech. It’s time to question our daily and most essential tasks like our personal hygiene routines.
With fewer towels to wash, this reduces the waste of water, energy detergent and linen. This is good news for the environment and it cuts costs, so enabling hotels to reduce prices.
The system relies on an actuated arm rather than a multiple nozzle design, the air pressures generated with the same compressor increases dramatically causing a kinetic removal of the water particles rather than conventional drying. This will help achieve faster drying times and waste less power, linen and detergent and for the same drying square footage.
The non hygenic way of drying the body and the redundant move with limitations for the disabled and the old is the problem we are trying to solve. Our method will also save a lot of time and provide convenience, comfort and safety to our consumer.
It is designed to serve a diverse range of individuals who engage in daily personal care routines, particularly focusing on those living in urban environments and leading busy lifestyles. Our target population includes gym-goers, professionals with limited time for personal care, individuals with mobility issues, and environmentally conscious consumers who seek sustainable alternatives to traditional methods.
Who They Are:
- Urban Residents and Professionals: People living and working in fast-paced urban environments often face time constraints. Traditional drying methods using towels not only take time but also involve maintenance like washing and drying, which can be cumbersome.

- Concept
We selected the "Concept" stage because our current phase of development involves refining our idea and researching its feasibility, with an emphasis on conceptual design and initial models. At this stage, we do not yet have a fully functional prototype, but we do have a detailed concept design and a physical model that demonstrates the key components and functionality of our Technology.
Although we have not yet begun formal user testing with a functioning prototype, we have engaged potential users and stakeholders through focus groups to gather preliminary feedback on the concept and design. These discussions help refine our approach, particularly in terms of usability and market needs.
Our achievements in the "Concept" stage include creating a detailed and informed concept design, building a physical model to demonstrate this design, and beginning to engage with potential users and stakeholders to validate and refine our approach. These foundational efforts are critical as we prepare for the next phase of development, which will involve creating a functional prototype and initiating formal user testing.
