Numerous studies, including research by Turyamureeba Amon, indicate that despite significant investments in education and skill enhancement, numerous graduates in Uganda encounter challenges in securing appropriate employment opportunities. This situation exacerbates the prevailing issue of youth unemployment and underemployment. Therefore, it is imperative to investigate interventions and initiatives geared towards mitigating graduate unemployment, fostering youth entrepreneurship, improving skills development, and advancing gender equality within the labor market. Recruitment is also time consuming and can be a drag. the TempApp would provide a solution for these problems.
We propose the development of TempAdmin. TempAdmin is a mobile application designed to connect new graduates, university students, and administrative assistants with temporary and virtual work opportunities in SMEs and startups. Additionally, TempAdmin will offer training modules in digital and soft skills to enhance employability and readiness for the workforce. By addressing the call for new economic opportunities and buffering against economic shocks, TempAdmin aims to promote workforce development, create good job opportunities, and foster inclusive and attainable growth opportunities.
