The main problem we aim to solve is the lack of access to income for vulnerable populations worldwide. Many individuals living in developing countries are facing barriers to employment and financial stability, which create cycles of poverty across generations, according to recent statistics approximately 80% of individuals vulnerable conditions reside in developing countries where access to education and job opportunities is limited. Over 700 million people worldwide live in extreme poverty, with limited access to income-generating activities.
In the other hand we also want to tackle the lack of exposure to native speakers that impede language learning and fluency development, people struggle to overcome linguistic challenges hindering their personal and professional growth, being expose to unsecure free or over cost paid language learning platforms. The demand for language fluency is increasing as globalization expands, making it essential for individuals to master a second language to thrive in their professional careers. By offering a safe and affordable platform we are also impacting 40% of the global population that lack access to quality and affordable education opportunities, affecting language learning outcomes in terms of proficiency due to socioeconomic factors.
We want to address these challenges through our (gig economy model conversation platform), which empowers individuals in conditions of vulnerability or living in developing countries who possess native language conversation skills to serve as a community coaches, by offering affordable 30 minutes basic conversation sessions in their mother tongue, these coaches can earn a dignified income while sharing their linguistic expertise with language learners worldwide (Spanish, English and French).
Right now, we have a website that provide information and allow the safe connection through video-call platforms base on a calendar availability.
It empowers individuals residing in economic disadvantage regions facing vulnerabilities, who possess native language conversation skills to serve as a community coaches, helping them to overcome poverty and lack of job opportunities.
At same time it will increase professional opportunities for language learners that want to gain fluency in a second language to thrive in their careers in a safe, affordable and impactful way.
At the moment I am a sole member of the team, as a Colombian living in the USA, I have a deep understanding of the challenges faced by individuals in conditions of vulnerability, particularly within the Hispanic community. My passion for social impact has always driven me to seek ways to support others in overcoming poverty and accessing income and personal growth opportunities.
The idea for Holaimpact stemmed from a real-life encounter with people struggling financially due to their conditions. Witnessing limitations imposed by the economic inequality and sometimes health circumstances inspired me to create Holaimpact a platform where individuals, possessing unique communication skill as native speaker, could generate a dignified income helping others to gain fluency and confidence in a second language to thrive professionally.

Our solution is currently in the Prototype stage of development. We've created the logo, land page website and few content in social media, conducted organic marketing efforts, and held 15 calls with various learners, receiving positive feedback on their experience.
Through my interactions in the validation video calls, I have gained valuable insights that inform the design and implementation of Holaimpact. By actively involving both sides in the development process, seeking their input, ideas, and feedback, I ensure that the solution truly addresses users' needs and priorities.
Holaimpact as a social solution not only addresses economic disparities but also promotes language skills, social inclusion and global connectivity, aligning perfectly with the challenge objectives to foster economic growth and prosperity worldwide. By participating in Solve, we will have the opportunity to create awareness on this idea that will transform lives, we can as well access to valuable recourses to support our growth and development from an idea to a social business solution like connecting with mentors and potential partnerships, access to networking opportunities to scale its impact and reach more communities in need, gain experience and knowledge on social entrepreneurship and social impact and engage volunteers who are passionate about our mission.

At the moment it is just me working in this project, I am actively looking for a co-founder to join me in this social venture. The company is not yet registered, and the project is still in the prototype development stage. I have been validating the idea through organic marketing efforts and being engaged in the test video calls. Aas the project move forward I am excited about the potential to expand the team and bring on board some volunteers the shared our mission and vision.
I have the idea back in April last year. That day I knew language can be used to create economic prosperity for both language learners and native speakers facing vulnerabilities. So, it's been one year alone trying to give form to this idea, this year I want to give it a real try and share the idea with the world to see how far I can take it and how many live can I impact.
Once I start building a team, we will empower an inclusive environment where diversity is prioritized, our main mission is to provide equal opportunities for those in vulnerable conditions in developing countries where we will be present, but we understand that everyone deserves access to opportunities regardless their circumstances, so we will offer training, support and empowerment to our team and to the community coaches in equal basis, to ensure that everyone that is part of Holaimpact, feels valued, respected and empowered.
