My entrepreneurial journey as the business lead began in my childhood, observing the everyday activities of my community. I saw many people rearing and selling poultry, it was practically a household activity.
However, over the years, I noticed a significant decline in the number of poultry farmers. Upon inquiry, I discovered that the high cost of feeding was the primary reason for this decline. This revelation sparked a deep concern within me, as I recognized the potential of poultry farming to reduce unemployment in my society.
Driven by this concern, I embarked on a journey of research and discovery. I was determined to find a solution to this problem, to create a sustainable and affordable feed alternative that would enable poultry farming to thrive once again. I was motivated by the potential impact this could have on my community, not just in terms of economic growth, but also in terms of food security and nutrition.
Through my research, I discovered the potential of using corn cobs, insect larvae and herbs to produce a pro-biotic high protein poultry feed. This was a game-changer! Not only were these ingredients readily available and cost-effective, but they also had the potential to significantly improve the health and productivity of the poultry. I was excited by this discovery and knew that I had found the solution I was looking for.
My team shared my sentiments and collectively we sought out to be the change we wish to see in the society
