Where Beauty embraces Sustainability
- Italy
- For-profit, including B-Corp or similar models
The waste from beauty products is not currently well handled in Italy. The recycling is poorly employed in companies' processes leading to great amounts of plastic waste in the landfills.
By encouraging beauty industry to embrace more sustainable packaging within their product lines and help them recycle the cosmetic waste they accumulate, we contribute to the reduction of greenhouse emissions which are heavily associated with climate change.
Our app aims to connect beauty stores and customers where users can exchange loyalty points* for product discounts.
* Users gain loyalty points from bringing their cosmetic waste to specific collection points.
Two main target groups:
- beauty manifactures, stores, retailers
> By using out services, companies can promote themselves as sustainable businesses, attract mindful customers & investors, improve their ESG metrics
- consumers
> No infrastructure in Italy to recycle cosmetic waste; No incentives either to make people feel doing that

1. Increasing cosmetics packaging
recyclability is a win-win solution: it
reduces waste-to-landfill and thus the
impact on the environment, while
increasing consumer loyalty and
engagement.
2.
To really move the needle on
recycling, companies are getting
more involved in packaging recovery,
finding ways to entice consumers
back to the store to return empty
containers as part of a “take-back”program.
3. This allows companies to
demonstrate their commitment to
addressing impacts. At the same
time, it generates a new touch-
point to cultivate brand loyalty
885,406 Tons of CO₂
In 2022, the replacement of virgin raw material with secondary raw material, obtained from
Corepla recycling (Italian recycling agency) , avoided the release of 885,406 tons of CO₂, equal to
the emissions produced by 1,024 Rome-Tokyo return flights.
3.5 Billion Barrels of Oil per Year
Using recycled plastics can reduce dependence on the extraction of fossil fuels for plastics
production and curb CO2 emissions- potential annual energy savings that could be achieved from
recycling all global plastic waste is equivalent to 3.5 billion barrels of oil per year.
90% Environmental Savings
Recycling a single-use product leads to large environmental savings of more than 90 % by using
existing materials, reducing the total amount of waste sent to landfills and reducing energy
resources
80% Reduction in Ocean Plastics
Current commitments by governments and industry will reduce the annual volume of plastic flowing into
the ocean by only about 7% by 2040. We have the solutions today to reduce the annual flow of plastic
into the ocean by about 80% by 2040.
