Our plan for becoming financially sustainable involves diversifying revenue streams and establishing a stable base of funding sources to cover operational costs and facilitate growth. We intend to achieve this through a combination of grants, revenue generation from selling clean energy, and strategic partnerships with local and international stakeholders.
Revenue StreamsOur primary source of revenue will come from the sale of clean energy generated by our floating solar farm, Mwanga Bahari. By selling electricity to local businesses and government entities in the Mtwara region, we aim to create a reliable income stream that will help cover operational and maintenance costs.
We will also pursue service contracts with the government to expand our reach and impact. This includes providing renewable energy solutions to government facilities, schools, and hospitals, thereby reducing their reliance on fossil fuels.
Grants and InvestmentsTo support our initial development and growth, we have secured a grant of $56,000 from a reputable organization dedicated to promoting renewable energy in East Africa. This grant has been instrumental in funding the early stages of the project, allowing us to conduct feasibility studies, acquire equipment, and begin construction on the floating solar farm.
In addition to grants, we are exploring opportunities to raise investment capital through partnerships with venture capital firms and impact investors who share our commitment to sustainability and renewable energy. This additional funding will help us scale our operations and reach a broader market.
Long-Term SustainabilityOur long-term plan for financial sustainability involves building a solid customer base and reducing costs through operational efficiencies. We aim to increase revenue by expanding our client base to include individual consumers, businesses, and government agencies. As we grow, we will implement cost-saving measures, such as optimizing our energy production processes and leveraging economies of scale, to ensure that our revenue streams consistently cover our expenses.
