Beirut is a magnificent city that has been facing shortages in access to reliable and clean energy sources for the majority of it recent history added to that, the major economic crash that began in 2019 also accompanied with the pandemic that overtook the world in a blink of an eye and local political turmoil, power availability became very scarce and in most cases if available comes at the cost of additional health and financial impacts which is causing further strain on the already deteriorated situation. 

Despite the city's genuine spirit for progress, development and prosperity and it's long lived history of rising from within destruction and it's people's impressive ability to build/rebuild and to adapt in most cases in a very smooth and maybe at an unpredictable level, yet the city as well as the country in general still lack access to reliable and clean energy supply.

The problem is multi faceted and is attributed to many factors varying from political, economical, legislative, educational, and to some extent from unethical behaviors, all augmented by the Syrian crisis and the impacts of the large displaced population especially when compared to the Lebanese population. Noting the remarkable efforts that have been made after the onset of the crisis by various bodies, organizations, entrepreneurial ventures and individual attempts to meet the demand, there is still huge gap to fill.

Lebanon's energy bill was tremendous on not only the economical level but also on the health care systems and quality of life on both sate and individual levels and although it's charge is amongst the highest in the world in terms of aspect ratio,sadly the situation appears much like a quicksand. 

Building on the valuable lessons learnt from previous attempts of others and after a thorough investigation of the problem root causes and it's impacts and significantly helped by our knowledge of the Lebanese society in addition to a great will to be part in making the shift and a passion for research and utilizing it for crafting positively impacting and far reaching solutions, we aim to achieve a breakthrough in the unpleasant landscape of the energy sector in Lebanon by strategically approaching the bottle necks and addressing the points hindering both access to clean and efficient energy and the transition to sustainable cities and economies. 

Our solution targets the general population lacking access to clean, reliable and cost efficient energy supply for the various reasons possible and thereby creating a positive impact on the quality of their lives in general, their neighborhoods and economies while also creating job opportunities and value  that benefits also the general public and aligns with our global responsibility for environmentally aware behaviors. 

We stand on years of experience in various industries and across different functions and track record of assessing feasibility, cost structuring and simulating various output scenarios and a long lived experience of the negative effects of the absence of reliable, clean and cost affordable energy solutions couple with an intensive amount of research and insights gaining on conventional and non conventional energy sources and definitely a will to explore more, we are capable of providing a refined andenhanced business model that is capable of gaining momentum it needs from within. 

We are still in the concept stage however the concept has been assessed extensively and despite this, there is still a huge potential for improvement in the strategic, legal and financial aspects of the business model itself 

Our interest in applying to Solve, is based on the change making Solve has promoted since it began and definitely the great institute and community behind solve and noting the anticipated and non anticipated challenges that we should face along the path whether these are monetary, technical, legal or other barriers, Solve is definitely an optimal environment and realm to seek support from and aim to plant our seeds within. We are sure this opportunity with solve, it's vast entrepreneurship network and ecosystem and valuable informational, monetary and all other resources it provides will help us refine and scale our model and present it in a manner that rises to the challenge.

We will utilize state of the art technology and tools and provide turnkey solutions through a rethought and well defined working model backed by valuable insights and metrics of the industry that addresses the drawbacks of most other models and the major barriers to the transition towards sustainable economies and which can be readily and somehow out of the box rapidly scaled.

Our approach aims to penetrate the stagnating scene on various levels and induce a chain of positive reactions whereby the benefits not only address the energy gap and the quality of life/air that is exacerbated by the distributed, chaotic and huge reliance on individual power generators and its significant accompanied costs in a country severely struggling economically with overcrowded cities, but also extend to other players in the nation's economic cycle.

We aim to definitely contribute in making the change and this would be obviously seen by the rate of adoption and the total carbon footprint that will be offset through this shift in addition to at least a reduction in the noise and pollution levels caused by the de facto alternative power supply modes and also by the educational information and awareness conveyed to the public along with an informed measurement of the public's respective engagement with the initiative. 

Our initiative will utilize cutting edge technology such as apps, software, robotics, artificial intelligence and others in addition to traditional knowledge systems but will indeed mainly leverage the application of science and statistics via evidence based knowledge to provide an enhanced and better performing model.

Currently none as it is still as the solution is still in the conceptual stage.

Since the problem has been ongoing for many years now and my interest in the issue goes back to more than 10 years and considering that knowledge gathering in the field and the laying out of foundations for solid principles began in college days and than incrementally adding on year after year and from organizational exposures and a lot of research and simulations in the field and others related disciplines and evaluations , it took more than 10 years to reach this concept.

We see that our solution definitely expects a diverse, equitable and inclusive team that reflects the high ambitions and the diversity of the society but will also collaborate and join forces with other various key players in the industry and the economy.

In addition to providing reliable and efficient energy access in a cost optimized model, our model will provide added value and benefits to other parties and individuals such as job and development opportunities and more

After gathering the initial required support to establish the foundations for providing our services we anticipate our model to be flexible and resilient enough to self sustain.
