The presented innovation solves several problems at once - it turns plastic waste into artificial reefs - where oysters, fish and algae can be grown simultaneously.
In addition, such reefs will interfere with trawling and will preserve the entire ecosystem of the ocean floor.
This innovation is transforming plastic waste into artificial reefs in a very environmentally friendly and energy efficient way.
Specifically, the trimaran collects plastic waste from the ocean's surface, turns it into artificial reefs, and sets it on the ocean floor.
This trimaran has a special innovative design that creates electricity from the energy of waves, sun and wind at the same time.
The main and most powerful power plant is movable pontoons that vibrate under the influence of waves and rotate the generator shaft.
Such trimaran could be invented more than 100 years ago when the first electromotors and accumulators have appeared.
But such design is not present neither in patent archives, nor in textbooks as bad examples.
The similar design has been offered only in 2011 by professor Andre Sheron.

But it has been made after the publication of the submitted project at competition of NASA:

The first application for the submitted trimaran has been sent in 1997 at number № 1777-01/97.
The second most powerful power plant is a vortex turbine, which absorbs wind energy.
This turbine is the only one in the world that contains all three types of aerodynamic propulsion systems - propeller, turbo expander and side blades.
All three elements reinforce each other, so this turbine is 3 times more powerful than other turbines of the same size.

The uniqueness of this turbine is proven by a patent and a special diploma TIP Summit 2020.
The third power plant is a rooftop solar panel.
The ship has a conveyor belt for collecting plastic waste from the ocean surface.
The collected plastic waste will be used to produce artificial reefs, blocks for vertical vegetable gardens and permanent formwork for basements.
All three of these products are also innovative.
The artificial reefs of our design are distinguished by the fact that they can be simultaneously a farm for fish, oysters and kelp.
It has a package of soil for plants in such a configuration that fish can only eat the upper part of the sea plant, and the roots and basal buds always remain unharmed for further growth.
The oyster cage is collapsible and makes harvesting easy.
And shelter for fish allows them to survive and support their offspring.
In addition, such artificial reefs on the ocean floor will interfere with trawling and will preserve the entire ocean ecosystem.
Ocean plastic can also be used to produce other environmentally beneficial products.
Blocks for vertical gardens became finalists of 5 international competitions and winners of two more - IDEANCO and Launch Forth Harvesting Challenge.

Permanent formwork is the finalist of the Ingenious Advatages Austria competition.

These permanent forms are double-walled to increase thermal insulation.
Artificial reefs of our design can be profitable for any population involved in marine farming.
But it can be very expensive for them to build a ship that turns ocean plastic trash into artificial reefs. But the construction of such a ship can be financed by government agencies or international funds that protect marine flora and fauna.
Our team may not have much experience in maritime affairs and the production of ships and artificial reefs, but we love nature and we will make every effort to develop this project.
- Strengthen coastal and marine ecosystems and communities through the broader blue economy, including fisheries, clean energy, and monitoring, reporting, and verification.
- 11. Sustainable Cities and Communities
- 12. Responsible Consumption and Production
- 14. Life Below Water
- Prototype
We currently only have a prototype of a vortex turbine that will be used on a trimaran that collects and produces artificial reefs.
We hope to find new team members, investors and institutional partners who will support the implementation of this project.
- Human Capital (e.g. sourcing talent, board development)
- Public Relations (e.g. branding/marketing strategy, social and global media)
- Technology (e.g. software or hardware, web development/design)
The innovation of the two technologies used has already been certified by international diplomas and patent searches. The innovation of others is in the process of patent search.

The presented innovation clears the ocean of plastic debris, turning them into underwater gardens that prevent trawling.
Our project will restore those ecosystems in the ocean that were damaged by trawling and, as a result, the population of coastal areas lost places for fishing and other marine agriculture.
And practice will show the effectiveness of this system.
We are confident that it will work as it represents a new combination of existing technologies.
Our innovations are very simple and do not require fundamental research. They are simply more ergonomic and efficient than the previous ones.
1. The trimaran is absolutely energy independent - its wind turbine is more powerful than existing ones, and its pontoons are more energy efficient than others.
2. The artificial reef of the presented design is the first example of permaculture on the ocean floor.

The innovations used in the project were created at different times, but we continue to improve this project, adding new know-hows.
The consumers of our artificial reefs will be those populations that are engaged in marine permaculture.
In addition, customers can be those state or international organizations that create, for example, so-called “fish cities” - i.e. protected water areas where fish can breed freely. Our innovation protects fish not only from fishing but also from the sea predators themselves.
As for competitors, we do not know of any producers whose artificial reefs allow them to grow all the main types of aquaculture at the same time.
At the first stage, the presented artificial reefs can be made from “earthly” plastic waste, since building a ship is expensive. With the profit received from this first stage, you can also build a ship and collect plastic waste in the ocean.
