IR to IR2ICTR for Climate Change Survival Revolution IR3CCSR

Saving the biosphere against anthrohpogenic extinction threat of climate change. Revolutions are unpleasantly expected and launched in disturbed countries subjected to extraordinary unrest so pattern models with success and failure chances existent worldwide. Traditional revolutions are often compromised with passage of national life time under regional or international pressures rendering them worthless. Global scale techno-environmental cum socioeconomic revolution of IR size is the very first expectation of the world economic history. Intermediate to IR and CCSR is being propped as industrial revolution to AI-ICT revolution - IR2ICTR. Presumably, IR2ICTR is considered shortcut program for national survival against extinction while in fact it tends to be optional particularly for developing countries which can hardly afford it or implement wrongly. Ultimate goal of 21st century revolutions is survival of civilized and wildlife against extinction threats of climate change through climate change revolution – CCSR. The world situation is not favorable to CCSR but it has to confront with IR and to an extent ICTR in various countries. IR3CCSR is extreme triple challenge never experienced before globally. Unavoidably, sustainable national survival and civilization cannot be deemed optional by any country.  TWREEC attempts ensuring IR3CCSR as affordably failure-proof or failsafe.

IR2SIR has multiple impossibilities so 17SDG2030 UN Agenda Goals might have to be attempted without this deep-tech mode.  IR has been stage-wise experienced and addressed by every country directly or indirectly over its national span for almost 300 years corresponding to multiple sub-revolutions as;

                        First Stage: Steam powered with manual, hydraulic, and pneumatic I&C.

                        Second Stage: Supplementation with electrical with extended I&C’

Third Stage: Supplementation with electronics with I&C extension oriented to PLC, DCS and DHS. 

Fourth Stage: The 21st century underway AI stage supposed to be zero GHG emitting in all aspects of governmental-societal lifestyles.

Fourth stage is undoubtedly a sub-revolution of IR but mission is opposite to all preceding stages to the extent that SET experts limited scale rate it as ICTR for selective countering the IR for smooth advancement towards the IR3CCSR.

Sociopolitical sciences define and describe revolution as a drastically violent-abrupt alteration of a national system towards known or unknown destination/destiny. In analogy to IR it may refer to techno-economic changes at relevant national scale. Restoration/reinstatement of preindustrial world situation is exclusive aim of IR3CCSR only achievable through 17SDG2030 UN Agenda Goals. Irrespective of  rescue or suicidal standing glamorous dynamism of IT-digitalization cannot be denied. Full range of governmental and societal activities worldwide have been subjected to war and peace efforts correlation with ICT. OG sector, attempting its lead in modernism has revealed $15 investments in ICT investing stakes towards 2030 while these are prone to doubling or tripling by 2050. Petroleum upstream activities are determined to continue no matter what happens on the earth planet and AI-ICT is their onward force considered the strongest. If a revolution also signifies reversal or give up then 1R2ICTR is the deserving candidate particularly in G77 (G135) countries.

 IR Transitions and Transformations:

Two modes-methods of approach may be prescribed corresponding to national circumstances and attempted as direct and/or indirect towards the ultimate goal. Underpinning of 300 years progressive IR is materialism for enhancing QOL without caring 4WH-IF. Affecting every living human and non-human life non-SET categorization by social sciences corresponds to three spheres as;

On the other hand SET response has direct involvement in creating, generating opportunities for materialism by adding value to inputs of low or least worth. New framework of materialism as above listed as item-c coupled with SDG12 is forcing SET and non-SET collaboration never experienced in the past. Idealism and immaterialism are deemed replacements to materialism but neither SET nor non-SET intervention can turn out to be game changer without needed collaboration.  SET is partial fraction of the non-SET workforce in Third World countries always worried about its tolerance by governmental-societal setup with tendency availing it as unpleasant excuse for avoiding creative national performance.

Work from home, distance employment or remote self-employment is significant IR2ICTR breakthrough of the 21st century. TWREEC introduced this concept first time in Pakistan during 1990 and continues serving so despite harshest ruinations by homeland governmental-societal forces. World statistics on remote work ranks USA at the top and selective countries of Asia Pacific at the bottom.  ICT employment in SAP, silicon estates, and AI parks is worldwide being suspected for causing-dealing with ultramodern crimes and bulk harassment nowadays in advanced and developing countries without discrimination.

After professionally serving as regular employee of OGDC-Pakistan and KOC – Kuwait from 1975-1990, the team leader established TWREEC (www.twreec.org) as private sector founder-owner at his native village located in Sialkot – Pakistan during 1990 by midway saying goodbye to his onshore-offshore petroleum E&P professional career. However, 34 years self-financed TWREEC efforts could not transform its native village into ’Global Village’ as expected.  TWREEC functions are focused on oil & gas, water & wastewater engineering, climate change mitigation/adaptation, environmental consulting, and SDG challenges of the biosphere.
