Duitin's solution team comprises approximately 63 full-time staff members who are dedicated to driving our mission forward across all aspects of our operations. Additionally, we have around 7 part-time staff members who support our efforts, particularly spread out across our coverage areas to ensure local needs and operations are effectively managed. This team structure allows us to maintain a strong presence in our current service areas while also providing the flexibility needed to adapt to local conditions and opportunities for expansion.

Duitin's journey began at the end of 2019, initiated by myself and two co-founders with our roots in scavenging in Bandung. We started developing our app in January 2020 and launched it in July 2020, marking a significant step towards transforming waste management. Over these nearly 4 years, our team has grown significantly, expanding beyond development to include operations, commercial activities, and partnerships. This growth reflects our dedication to improving recycling practices and our solution's impact.

For instance, our current National Lead of Operations started with Duitin as a waste picker. Demonstrating a keen interest in learning and advancement, they transitioned to a driver before rising to a leadership position. Similarly, our Bandung Lead, who began as a picker, has shown remarkable progress, moving from having no laptop skills to leading operations for the entire city.
