We are address the challenge of climate change within the context of the energy transition and industrial greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions.
Nowadays, companies encounter difficulties in accurately and efficiently measuring and controlling their emissions, as the available options are costly, inaccessible, and inefficient, exposing them to economic, legal, and reputational risks. In 2020, Mexico emitted 804 million tons of CO2e, with 51% of the pollution stemming from industries.
The lack of comprehensive tools and technologies hinders effective monitoring and reduction of emissions, especially for SMEs and the informal sector, which may account for up to 60% of GHG emissions. However, they often have limited resources and capabilities to address environmental issues. According to 2019 estimates from the WHO, air pollution in urban and rural areas worldwide causes 4.2 million premature deaths annually, attributed to exposure to fine particulate matter, leading to cardiovascular and respiratory diseases, as well as cancers.
The need to develop clean technologies, accessible to all industries and companies, to reduce industrial emissions is undeniable.
Oxtron offers an all-in-one environmental management service that measures, controls, captures and repurpose GHG emissions throughout companies' value chains. Comprised of a portfolio of CleanTech products, Oxtron focuses on decarbonizing emission-intensive activities in an accessible manner.
We've developed a low-cost carbon capture system that enables the collection and secure storage of CO2 emissions from various sources. What sets us apart is our ability to reuse the captured carbon, either in the production of carbon-neutral fuels and polymers or through direct commercialization as a raw material. This system integrates with sensors, IoT, and automation technology to collect real-time data and transmit it directly to our platform, where it's automatically recorded and analyzed.
Furthermore, we've developed specialized software for GHG measurement. The first is a monitoring, reporting, and verification software that allows companies to track their emissions accurately and in real-time, where information of the value chain is available and results are used to create personalized reduction strategies, connect them with commercial allies and obtain financing support. The second software focuses on the carbon footprint of food products, enabling companies in the food industry to assess and reduce the environmental impact of their products throughout the entire supply chain. The third software is specifically designed to measure the carbon footprint of crops, providing farmers and agricultural producers with detailed information on emissions associated with their agricultural practices and driving the adoption of more sustainable measures.
Our solution serves carbon-intensive establishments, primarily in the food industry, including hotels, restaurants, and industrial cafeterias. These businesses, regardless of their size, emit significant amounts of CO2 monthly from various sources such as chimneys and boilers. Currently, they lack effective means to measure and reduce these emissions using existing commercial solutions.
Additionally, other companies across various carbon-intensive industries also stand to benefit from our technology. These businesses may require compliance with environmental regulations, respond to customer demands, or fulfill stakeholder or shareholder mandates. Our solution offers these companies the opportunity to decarbonize their processes and generate a new revenue stream.
By offering accessible and affordable technical solutions, we facilitate emission reduction, legal compliance, and potential cost savings for our customers. In the long term, our solution not only provides a cleaner technology but also represents a sound investment. By considering both environmental impact and economic returns, we aim to empower businesses to embrace sustainability while improving their bottom line.
Oxtron is positioned to deliver our solution due to the diverse backgrounds and collective passion of our team members. - Pilot
During 2021 and 2022, we conducted a pilot project with an international chain to refine our technology, particularly our carbon capture system, based on user feedback and insights. By early 2023, in less than a month, we had amassed a waiting list of over 20 businesses interested in collaborating with Oxtron to implement our software and hardware solutions in their establishments.
Currently, we are about to perform a commercial pilot with one of the premier restaurants in Mexico and two commercial partners to test our suite of offerings at scale. This pilot will involve the implementation of all our key products, with the captured CO2 being commercialized by a third party.
Our focus is on specific use cases as we continue to fine-tune and eventually standardize our commercial structure. This approach allows us to enhance our value proposition and optimize the customer journey. Each use case presents unique challenges, such as varying emission levels and technical requirements. By meticulously examining each case, we can refine our services before expanding our commercial footprint.
Oxtron delivers sustainable advancements in decarbonization practices by securing significant reductions in fixed-point emissions. Our solutions are in high demand, surpassing our initial expectations. This demand is primarily driven by our capacity to develop cost-effective carbon capture services in an economy lacking alternatives, amidst escalating regulatory pressures.
We are seeking assistance from Solve to enhance our scalability, refine revenue models, and optimize our technology. This collaboration aligns with our objective of establishing ourselves as a leading voice in the CleanTech sector, while simultaneously fostering equitable socioeconomic progress.

Our impact goals for Oxtron are centered around three key objectives: reducing carbon emissions, fostering sustainability, and driving economic growth.
1. Carbon Emissions Reduction: Our primary impact goal is to significantly reduce carbon emissions from carbon-intensive industries. We aim to achieve this by helping businesses accurately measure their carbon footprint, implement effective emission reduction strategies, and capture emissions at the source. We measure our progress towards this goal by tracking the total amount of carbon dioxide equivalent (CO2e) emissions reduced or avoided by our clients over time.
2. Sustainability: Another important impact goal is to foster sustainability within industries by promoting eco-friendly practices and technologies. We aim to facilitate the adoption of sustainable business models, promote renewable energy sources, and encourage the implementation of circular economy principles. To measure progress in this area, we monitor the adoption rate of sustainable practices among our clients and track their overall environmental performance improvements.
3. Economic Growth: In addition to environmental impact, we seek to drive economic growth and create value for our clients and stakeholders. We aim to achieve this by helping businesses optimize their operations, reduce costs, and unlock new revenue streams through carbon offsetting and emission reduction initiatives. We measure our progress towards this goal by assessing the financial savings, revenue generated, and return on investment (ROI) achieved by our clients through the implementation of our solutions.
To track our progress towards these impact goals, we utilize a combination of quantitative and qualitative indicators, including:
• Total CO2e emissions reduced or avoided by clients
• Percentage reduction in carbon emissions compared to baseline levels
• Adoption rate of sustainable practices and technologies
• Financial savings and ROI for clients
• Number of businesses adopting carbon offsetting strategies
• Customer satisfaction and feedback on the effectiveness of our solutions
By continuously monitoring these indicators and adjusting our strategies accordingly, we aim to maximize our positive impact on the environment, society, and economy, ultimately contributing to a more sustainable and resilient future.
