Lumen Care
Due to a combination of cultural norms, inadequate resources and limited access to information, many young people are unable to receive vital information about how to stay healthy and make the informed choices that are conducive to their well-being.
Our solution is an app that contains detailed, easy-to-digest information about their bodies and how to best take care of themselves. This includes information on best practices and ways to protect themselves. It also includes walkthrough guides on how to perform self assessments and checks on themselves, in order to help young people become aware of when they may need to seek additional medical help or treatment. This means that young people can access this information in the comfort of their own homes, at the click of a button, which eliminates the stigma of asking others for help with more personal matters.
Our solution aims to serve young people from less privileged backgrounds, who often live in more rural areas and have limited access to information. We hope to democratize this critical information through a mobile app that can be accessed by anybody, from anywhere, at any time. Our solution is compatible with a wide range of devices, including low-cost devices with limited functionality. This eliminates the barrier to accessing this information.
Throughout the development of our solution, we are maintaining close contact with potential users and taking into consideration their feedback. Having travelled and visited young people from a wide range of backgrounds, we hope to make good use of this experience and knowledge throughout the development journey.

We have consulted with young people from a wide range of backgrounds, as we hope to take their opinions and feedback into account throughout the development journey. We are currently developing and finalizing our MVP, hoping to release it to certain regions initially, then slowly expanding.
Our solution aims to democratize the access of critical information by developing a mobile app that can be accessed by anybody. This app also builds a communication channel, where we can continually provide up-to-date information.
We hope to finalize the development of our app, and to translate our content into several languages, in order to allow as many people to access the information as possible. In the longer term, we hope to build up a network of medical advisors and practitioners, who would be able to connect with any young people who are having concerns or questions. These interactions would be facilitated through our app, which would provide a safe space for young people to seek help without any stigma or pressure.
By increasing young people's exposure to this information, we hope that they can become more educated and aware about how to keep themselves healthy and make informed decisions that benefit them. This would improve the standards of living more many young people and allow them to fully immerse themselves in their communities.

We make sure to consult the opinions and feedback of young people from a wide range of backgrounds, especially when we are translating our work for a local demographic. This ensures that we are able to get our message across effectively and best serve the local population.
We are currently providing our app free-of-charge, in order to eliminate any barriers to accessing this information. By opening up access to a wide range of young people, we hope that this will have a ripple effect as more young people stand by our solution and recommend it to other young people.
- Individual consumers or stakeholders (B2C)
in the future, we hope to form partnerships with organizations that align with our mission, as well as other paths toward financial sustainability, without compromising on the free access of information to young people everywhere.
