What is the problem you are solving?

too rigid curriculums that are academic focused than life focused

The main key problem addressed by this solution is that of limited scope for for holistical development of children. They do not allow each child to fully develop and explore their full potential. Focus is more on how to read and write and less focus on full development of the child. Learning is based more on instruction than inspiration. As a preschool teacher of 7 years and a student at master’s degree in Early child hood, the effects of the limits of the curriculum are apparent in the way the school curriculum focuses on mathematics and language development way more important than the rest.

Current curriculums are more teacher centric. There is a lot of what the teacher should do, as if to replace the parent in the development of the child. However, the parent has more time, more resources and more influence on helping the child

are financially discriminative

the best opportunities of holistic development in africa are with kids of rich parents because they have extra coaches after school who help them develop holistically. Such services are not available for ordinaru African kids.

the online university platform will be a rich resource that would be a teaching platform and resource center for current pre school teachers. it will empower them how to transition from traditional to life based teaching and learning. it will have teachers training, teaching content, extra materials, activities and

what do you do if your child is uniquely talented, gifted or skilled? most parents do not know what to do with the potential of their kids. in africa, with less coaching academies, most artists to be , soccer stars to be, actors to be , singers to be, lose their full potential maximization because they were not developed from an early age. In the same way. academically smart kids who demonstrate unique learning skills are slowed down by the system so they can move at the same pace with everyone in their class. the online content platform will have specific programs for parent trainings as well as linkages to academies online that can help the kids discover themselves fully. the kids university will help the parents with skills and content resources of how to manage their children's development

What is your solution?

My proposed solution is an online kids university platform that focuses on teaching kids, training teachers, empowering parents and above all creating opportunities for kids to discover themselves and develop holistically. the idea is based on creative a typical university of kids where we can teach kids directly, have a separate section where we teach and train parents, teachers, coaches and other service providers.

The platform is based on the following key benefits

1) kids get to learn from over 250 choices of learning programs from different learning categories.

2) kids get the chance to direct which learning they want to focus on and that is used to direct how they can be inspired to learn more

3) parents get the opportunity to be empowered to be managers of their own children's development

4) teachers get the content they will need to help the kids explore more about different learning programs and in the process discover themselves and develop holistically

5) an online platform helps kids everywhere to have access to the highest quality of education. even though this project is for profit, there will be basic sections for free to vulnerable communities in africa who are very poor and cannot afford to attend at our kids university

The idea is built on the basis of the need to improve the development of children. by creating a a content based site that will operate as an online university of kids. over and above that, the platform will connect with other preschools, teachers, trainers, coaches in order to have a system of support services providers who can be available for services that are peripheral to the business and are not offered exactly on this platform
