TheMediator.AI
The specific challenge we are addressing is the issue of conflict resolution in matters related to women's sexual and reproductive health. These conflicts can arise in multiple contexts: between healthcare providers and patients, within families, or between partners. Due to cultural or social stigmas, these conflicts often remain unresolved, leading to negative health outcomes for women.
Globally, 214 million women of reproductive age in developing countries who want to avoid pregnancy are not using a modern contraceptive method. Lack of dialogue and unresolved conflicts are significant contributing factors. Traditional means of conflict resolution are often biased against women, are not confidential, and perpetuate harmful stigmas.
Our solution is designed to tackle these problems head-on.
TheMediator.AI is an AI-powered application that acts as a neutral third party to mediate conflicts related to women's sexual and reproductive health. Users can access the platform via a smartphone or computer.
Once a conflict scenario is submitted, our AI algorithms analyze the information, assess potential solutions based on pre-set unbiased guidelines, and offer a resolution strategy. The app is multilingual and incorporates inclusive, human-centered design principles to ensure accessibility.

Our solution serves women aged 18-35, particularly in regions where traditional methods of conflict resolution are biased and ineffective. This group includes minorities, and those who may not have easy access to healthcare due to societal or cultural barriers.
By offering a platform where conflicts related to sexual and reproductive health can be resolved in an unbiased, safe, and confidential manner, we empower women to take control of their own health choices. This can lead to better health outcomes, including increased use of contraceptives, reduced unintended pregnancies, and the destigmatization of sexual and reproductive health discussions.
Our team brings a unique blend of tech innovation and social impact expertise. We have a history of successful AI-driven projects, like Parky.AI, which solved real-world problems. Our CTO has over a decade of experience in mobile app software engineering, further adding to our technical capabilities.
Moreover, we have conducted preliminary needs assessments, focus groups, and surveys among the communities we aim to serve. This has helped us understand the specific challenges and stigmas women face regarding sexual and reproductive health in different societal contexts.
Our team includes members who are part of these communities, thus ensuring that our solution is genuinely aligned with the needs and challenges faced by our target audience. We actively engage with these communities to ensure that the design and implementation of our solution are guided by their input, ideas, and agendas.

TheMediator.AI is not just another dispute resolution platform; it’s a game-changer in the field of Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR). Traditional methods of conflict resolution in SRHR often involve bureaucratic hurdles, stigma, and a lack of anonymity, contributing to unresolved conflicts and poor health outcomes. Our solution employs Artificial Intelligence to ensure immediate, impartial, and confidential mediation, breaking down these barriers.
We leverage Natural Language Processing and Machine Learning algorithms to understand the nuances of conflicts and offer resolutions that are both fair and actionable. The platform is accessible via a mobile app, making it easy for young people to use, and it is designed to cater specifically to their needs in SRHR.
What sets us apart is our inclusivity and human-centric design. We have developed the platform in consultation with the very communities we aim to serve. Our solution is also scalable and adaptable, with the potential to integrate with healthcare systems and SRHR service providers for a more holistic approach.
Our innovation has the potential to revolutionize not just conflict resolution in SRHR but also to set a precedent for technology’s role in making healthcare more accessible and stigma-free. In doing so, we could fundamentally change the SRHR market, making it more youth-friendly and inclusive.
Next Year:
- Reach 10,000 active users mainly comprised of young women in need of SRHR conflict resolution.
- Establish partnerships with at least 5 major SRHR organizations.
Next Five Years:
- Expand to serve over a million users globally.
- Be integrated into national healthcare systems as the go-to conflict resolution service in SRHR.
To achieve these goals, we will focus on community engagement, user-feedback loops, and iterative design. We will also leverage the data we collect to continuously refine our algorithms and improve our service offerings.
Our theory of change begins with recognizing the direct link between unresolved conflicts in SRHR and poor health outcomes, especially for young women. By providing a platform that offers quick, impartial, and confidential resolutions, we anticipate immediate improvements in decision-making around SRHR.
Activities:
- Community engagement
- Continual refining of our AI algorithms
Immediate Outputs:
- Higher resolution rates for SRHR conflicts
- Increased user satisfaction
Longer-Term Outcomes:
- Improved SRHR health indicators among young women
- Reduced stigma around SRHR issues
We’ve based our theory on third-party research that shows that increased access to conflict resolution leads to better health outcomes. Further, our pilot tests and interviews with target populations have demonstrated an overwhelmingly positive response to our platform. With this data in hand, we are confident that TheMediator.AI will make a transformational impact on SRHR.

At TheMediator.AI, we hold the belief that diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) are not merely checkboxes but essential elements that drive the success and impact of our initiative. Our commitment to DEI is manifested in various aspects of our work, from team composition to solution development and community engagement.
Leadership Team: Our leadership team is a diverse group of individuals who bring a variety of perspectives based on their different ethnic backgrounds, genders, and lived experiences. This diversity ensures a wider scope of thought, allowing us to approach SRHR issues from multiple angles.
Team Goals:
- Enhance gender diversity by aiming for a 50-50 gender split in all departments within the next year.
- Increase representation of LGBTQ+ individuals in decision-making roles.
- Engage more team members from marginalized communities that we aim to serve.
Actions Taken:
- Implemented bias-free hiring practices.
- Conducted DEI training for all team members.
- Established a DEI committee to oversee the implementation of our goals.
In Solution Development: Our solution was developed in consultation with the target communities, incorporating their needs and feedback into the platform. We aim to create an environment within the app where all individuals, irrespective of their background, feel welcomed, respected, supported, and valued.
Community Engagement: We've adopted an inclusive approach by involving community members not just as beneficiaries but as active participants in the development and refinement of our solution. This has enabled us to address unique and systemic barriers that have traditionally hindered access to SRHR services.
Going Forward: We plan to continue monitoring our progress in DEI through regular internal reviews, feedback from the community, and third-party evaluations. We will transparently report these findings and use them as a basis for continuous improvement.
In every aspect, we are committed to creating equitable opportunities and actively working towards eliminating any form of disparity or discrimination in both our workplace and in the communities we serve.
Providing Value
Our primary product is TheMediator.AI, a technology-driven platform designed to assist with Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) disputes. We provide instant, confidential, and cost-effective mediation services. Our key beneficiaries are individuals who cannot afford or are hesitant to consult traditional legal channels due to cost, stigma, or other barriers. Our value proposition is "Justice and mediation at your fingertips for a fraction of the usual cost."
Revenue StreamsOur primary revenue stream is the per-dispute fee that we charge users of our platform. Instead of hundreds of dollars per hour as in traditional mediation services, we charge a nominal fee of $4.99 per dispute. This fee covers the operating costs of the service, making it affordable for a wider range of users.
ServicesWe provide the following services to individuals:
- Automated Mediation: AI-driven mediation services that provide quick resolutions.
- Legal Information: Credible and up-to-date information about SRHR.
- Counselor Access: Optional human mediator services at a higher price point for complex cases.
- Individual consumers or stakeholders (B2C)
To ensure financial sustainability, our strategy involves multiple avenues:
Service Fees: The core of our revenue comes from the per-dispute fee of $4.99, which has been calculated to cover operational expenses and provide a margin for growth.
Partnerships: Forming partnerships with legal firms and healthcare institutions can provide a steady stream of users and potential revenue-sharing opportunities.
Affiliate Programs: Providing credible SRHR products or referrals, for which we earn a commission.
Data Analytics: Anonymized data could be valuable for research and policy-making. We plan to sell this data to research institutions, ensuring all privacy laws are adhered to.
Capital Investment: As we scale, we are open to seeking external investment to fuel expansion.
Our financial projections indicate that within two years, the service fees and partnerships will generate enough revenue to make us financially sustainable, without relying heavily on grants or external investments.
