Impact Learning
Lack of qualified teachers, as well as ignorance on the part of parents in middle and low income areas often hinders children from these areas from reaching optimum development. Proposing a training program for teachers in cognitive development, social and emotional development, speech and language development, and fine motor skill development. This skill will also be made available to parents via access to a dedicated website. This solution will leverage on technology to improve children's education regardless of their race, ethnic or religious backgrounds.
Lack of qualified teachers remain one of the major problems facing early childhood education in Nigeria; the very few qualified teachers are expensive for many early education institutions to hire. Consequently, public educational institutions are manned by unqualified teachers, making most of the early childhood education institutions in Nigeria unable to provide decent care for children, and they provide mediocre education.
More that 70% of children under the age of 3 live in remote areas in Nigeria, and do not have access to quality early childhood education due to lack of qualified teachers. For this reason children with learning differences such as dyslexia are discriminated against, and described as having deformities, which they superstitiously ascribe spiritual interpretations to. Parents and care givers, are not able to nurture the children in a way that recognize and support learning differences, so that the children can reach their potentials.
Population of Nigeria is currently about 200 million. Over 70% of this population live in rural areas, and do not have access to quality early childhood education, leading to a situation where over 15 million children are out of school. This solution will leverage on technology to train teachers and parents on early childhood education. Our team will develop and App and deploy to public healthcare centers in rural areas to arose interest in critical thinking and cognitive reasoning right from the health centers at child birth.

IMPACT LEARNING highly and firmly believes that the reason why children are unable to reach their full potential all comes down to the inexperienced and unqualified teachers, the ignorance on the part of the parents, and the inability for the child to be properly fed with the right nutrients; which are all due to the fact that most of them are unable to afford or and are just ignorant.
