The smartcontract provides a deterministic solution. If you complete your contract, you will always get paid. Legal contracts can easily be broken by either party, or whichever has more money will be at the winning edge. Law is not blind; it follows the money. As it is money operated, the marginalized will never get fair treatment.
With Smartcontracts, this is totally avoided. Smartcontracts cannot be broken. Either seller and buyer are staked, and if you want to breack the contract. The individual that did that will automatically suffer the consequences (whatever is written in the contract - Loss of stake? etc. ).
In a freelance economy the Freelancer is the one that suffers the consequences.

I would like to directly impact the development of STEM in the USA. This architecture allows us to create a digital apprenticeship program that can be of incredible value.
Creating Talent and skill at scale, and in place is what we can do with this architecture. Can be proved, need funding.
Working with MDC, but terribly slow and political. MDC is the largest college in the nation (Miami Dade College) I was the ata analyst, and Principal architect for them when I worked there early 1985-1992.
