The start-up and consultancy services has just been registered as Business Name to foster commercialism of an invented educational solution of multifunctional mobile teaching aid that also serves as intervention laboratory to improve teaching and learning in Basic,Science and Secondary schools and can also deployed to demonstrate and deplore virtually especially during lockdown or holidays. This cutting-edge product has breathed new life into the Basic,Science,Secondary and virtual education across Nigeria offering a mobile,flexible and cost-effective solution to learning and the SSL SEMILAB START-UP AND CONSULTANCY SERVICES is transitioning a University marketing model to a more direct and more focused approach,fostering strong relations with Federal and state governments,schools owners and both local,national and international educational funding agencies.

- The Team lead as the inventor will be well knowledgeable to present the solution to potential stakeholders and designs the factory and Facilities, production,evaluation,marketing, training and capacity building strategies to foster the penetration of the solution to the desired level. He coordinates the activities of other workers effectively by giving the right direction to achieve the tasks. The lead will assist the Commercial and Marketing officer for the day to day running of the innovation hub as well as interfacing with the University Intellectual Property and Technology Transfer Office (IPTTO) for the regulatory and University IP governing guidelines of commercialization.
The project has the following strengths namely: Simple but Sophisticated educational support invention/product, very high Market Value, Easily adaptable into the conventional educational facilities, High Acceptability and Versality evidently, high Local Content in Materials and man power requirement and of high economic value addition.With these strength and the gains of the LEAP project the Team shall make tremendous commitment for the success of the solution been deployed to needed areas
The Product is Mass Production of Multifunctional Teaching Aid and Intervention Laboratory for Schools to aid teaching and Learning
The Provision of Quality, Equitable and accessible Science, Technical and Vocational Education is a priority of Government at all levels, private school owners, educational support Non-governmental organizations and educational stakeholders and managers as stated in the Education Policy and demands of the Nigeria. In achieving this noble objective, Nigeria requires an effective, functional and productive education system through the provision of modern teaching and learning facilities. Towards this end and for tremendous improvement in the teaching and learning of sciences in all schools across the country, there is need for teaching and learning teach aid in the form of special intervention that are locally made, purpose-built, effective ,portable and cost less than conventional laboratories and other teaching facilities imported . On this note, a Multifunctional Mobile Teaching Aid and Intervention Laboratory for teaching learning, demonstration and practical experimentation in Schools (basic, science, Secondary Tertiary and Virtual) was developed to better the lots of the educational, technological, scientific and vocational outputs of the system.
The overwhelming feedbacks and crave for more from teachers and schools from Kaduna, Niger and many other states that have adopted and used this innovation has been a strong endorsement of its utility and versality. Recommendations have also been obtained from relevant educational bodies including the Federal Ministry of Education (FMOE), Federal Ministry of Science and Technology (as it was then called), and the Nigerian Educational Research and Development Council (NERDC), culminating in market interests from educational managers and stakeholders.
The invention has an operational Manual(Monograph) developed in manner that it is user friendly and provides clear guide as to how to mount and use .It therefore promises to be a game changer in the teaching and conduct of practical science classes leading to improved quality of delivery and hence enhanced students’ performance and value for money.it will also lead to effective teaching and learning of sciences in all schools across the country, reduced capital flight, encouraged participation of large number of students, increased interests in sciences, reduction of mass failures in public examinations, sophistication of graduating students into higher institutions, job creation and capacity building if deployed in large numbers to schools across the country.
It is therefore pertinent to take mass promotion and production advantage of this home-grown and purpose-built invention to enhance practical science class delivery in the various schools across Nigeria to address effectively the often-pervading dearth of equipment that has been the narrative of our educational system.
