The purpose of our education institution is "To equip learners with knowledge, skills and values to be self reliant and to contribute to national development"
Our objectives are;
-to provide best education for all elementary learners
-to strive for education environment for all elementary learners.
- to act as a facilitator between learners and education stakeholders
Iqra International Academy as a hybrid educational institution strive to achieve the above three objectives. These objectives are interrelated and in application one objective is not independent to another. Since it's inception in 2019 our institution in this pilot stage is squarely working to achieve our vision of " Producing learners with knowledge, skills and values to be self reliant and contribute to national development".
As a hybrid institution we provide our services to targeted customers through focus to families, Community, government, teachers and finally learners. This method we call it "IQRA-TRIANGLE SOLUTION MODEL".
Here by "TRIANGLE" angle A we mean looking into government educational policy and their ability to support education system. Angle B, the community and it's culture to support the learners. Angle C, we look into our school environment i.e infrastructure, stationary, teachers, security and learners.
Looking into this TRIANGLE MODEL you can see that learners are considered last. As an a hybrid educational institution we have a nonprofit sector that advocates educational policy at the same time engaging the community regardless of variation in culture to see a learning child as a community Asset.
All parents in the community who haven't ability to support their children or are failing to provide good educational environment we have a counseling department for parents and then support them with empowerment intiatiatives to balance the children who are at our school.
This has indeed helped many children from less privileged homes to compete squarely with their fellow learners from well to do families. That's why our school it's had to find a failing student.
Now, the reason why I designed this approach is that many parents in Malawi are illiterate.The homes lack education environment to boost learning spirit of learners.The government always runs short of budget in education sector. This has forced many public schools to demand examination fee and development fund even the government knows all this and that primary education is free!
So if a TRIANGLE SOLUTION MODEL that our school operates can be adopted and scaled schools will be breeding grounds for sustainable education and we can easily achieve educational goals.

Ishmael Amini is the team lead. He is a holder of Bachelor's degree in Community Development, Advanced Diploma in Education, Advanced Diploma in Business Administration.He is a founder and Director of the institution. He makes strategic decision and get funding to run the institution.

We are seeking to solve"learning environment for elementary learners"
Elementary education as it sounds is the basic Education every child must access. However,in capitalism economy survival of the fittest has put many children to disadvantaging Educational environment. Children attend school depending on the affordability of their parents. This is why for example, our institution has 200 learners of which only 80 has possibility to afford the quality of education we offer. This different of education environment affect the performance of learners across Africa and Malawi in particular. Conditions such as food, uniform, stationary, transport and love from home affect learners. Again type of school, distance, type of syllabus, quality of teachers and school security negatively affect the learners. This is why our focus is to solve the problem of "learning environment".
Using our TRIANGLE SOLUTION MODEL all stakeholders in all three areas which learners are supposed to relay on their Educational environment will be achieved. Here we mean government side, Community side and schools side this model is acting as a pivot. If the education learning environment in all 3 areas are addressed the way Iqra International Academy is doing learning will be easier for our children. Therefore Triangle Solution Model will remain at the center of our operations.
Learning variability is a factor of concern in many learning institutions and in elementary school in particular. Like the case in Malawi, one might find 6 to 7 major differences of learners in one class. Variability in aspects of culture such as language, dressing,food, etiquettes and issues such as race all these has to be considered when bringing a solution.
In the our case "TRIANGLE EDUCATION SOLUTION MODEL has this in place. This in the sense that, Education learning environment is like a hab where every learning aspect relay on. Therefore, our commitment in observing government policies and activities, Community commitment and school environment will automatically address the variability problem.

As piloting program we haven't made more research. We used the foundation research and based on demographic Understanding we reached the outcome.
Iqra International Academy as an organization working on TRIANGLE EDUCATION SOLUTION MODEL to address learning Education environment currently needs to strengthen the evidence base. This is because for 4 years now since break out of Covid 19, followed by consecutive mass demostrations in Malawi on outcome of elections in 2020 to 2021, then closure of schools because of national Cholera break out then lastly Cyclone Freddy that has caused displacement and school closure. This has called a prompt call for our organization to apply this program or the learning environment in Malawi is paralised.
Iqra International Academy needs to jump in promptly though is in its piloting stage. Our approach in solving learning Educational environment is demanding us to take an action. The community at large is even waiting to see how we are to challenge this problem and victoriously emerge successfully solved the problem.
These are the research questions:
a. How learning environment affect elementary learners?
b. How Educational policies can be adjusted to address elementary learning environment?
c. How is Educational institutions are addressing learning environment?
- Formative research (e.g. usability studies; feasibility studies; case studies; user interviews; implementation studies; pre-post or multi-measure research; correlational studies)
Out comes from this formative research we are looking the following outstanding outcomes.
a. To see elementary learning environment becoming a priority.
b. To see changed policies to address elementary learning environment.
c. To see institutions taking or copying our approach in addressing learning environment.
Iqra International Academy as a hybrid educational institution the three outcomes at the end of LEAP Project. We plan to do the following;
On to see elementary education learning environment as an outcome our institution will embark on involving other educational institutions to subscribe on this intervention. Using our initiatives of campaigning for education environment these outcomes will help us to demonstrate to other Educational institutions to curiously take an action.
The 12-week LEAP Project will have a great positive impact on both short term and long term.
The out comes on our organization, short term desired such as deep experience on Educational environment and the research knowledge. The participation of our organization in the program will act as a catalyst to our immediate project to learning environment projects.
On long term impact will involve establish key knowledge to executive Education project implementation.
