Our organisation is focused on promoting hand-on approach to learning, with a focus on Montessori early childhood education. Cedar Brook LHC Montessori aims to contribute towards making the sustainable development goal 4 (SDG) a reality, a goal that seeks to ensure inclusive and equitable quality education.
The core service our organisation provides is the production and manufacturing of Montessori teaching and learning materials (TLM's) according to the Curriculum on Active Learning. We offer this service by partnering with local carpenters to produce Montessori teaching and learning materials with wood waste and other recycled wood products.
Our main objectives is to encourage student-centered learning through hands-on learning and experiential activities. This initiative is influenced by the school of thought that visual practical learning is the best for early years learning , Moreover, research has also shown that the brain processes visuals 60000 times faster than text and that children between the ages of 3-6 years are better visual learners than rote learners.
We also Provide Montessori teacher Training programs. We provide capacity building and upgrading of Teachers to improve their teachers’ skills for Active Learning lessons on the use of the Montessori Learning Materials and Educational Leadership and Management . Our training modules are well sort after with over 500 beneficiaries out of which 90% are women.

1. The team lead provides strategic direction in the company. She has acquired two degrees in business Administration(KNUST) and Bachelor of Laws (LLB; GIMPA), She also holds several professional development certificate in Montessori education from which she qualifies as a Montessori educator with ample knowledge in the Montessori Philosophy and Montessori theory from Canada. She is responsible for overseeing the production of the appropriate Montessori learning materials, not to only ensure that it is eco-friendly and child sensitive but also according to Montessori standards and of real quality based on the Montessori philosophy.
2. The team leader also Provides and supervises Montessori teacher Training programs. We provide capacity building and upgrading of Teachers to improve their teachers’ skills for Active Learning lessons and on the use of the Montessori Learning Materials.
The team leader is also responsible for the assessment and revision of company policies and procedures, administer the budget, hire and evaluate staff and oversee facilities.Other important duties entail developing safety protocols and emergency response procedures.
The team lead has acquired two degrees in business Administration(KNUST) and Bachelor of Laws (LLB; GIMPA), She also holds several professional development certificate in Montessori education from which she qualifies as a Montessori educator with ample knowledge in the Montessori Philosophy and Montessori theory from Canada. The team lead is supported but equally outstanding degree holders and professional who work in collaboration effortlessly coupled with strong communication, active listening, and problem-solving skills. The team also understand ideas and mission of the company and aim to improve the product and processes involved based on their track record. The team have always maintained a positive attitudes and have been very professional in solving any misunderstandings amicably without managements intervention. We have a committed team who is without a doubt prepared and are capable of embarking on this initiative or program with all the resources we have.

Education is expensive, but quality education can not be compromised on, this is why we have taken upon ourselves the responsibility of promoting hand-on approach to learning, with a focus on Montessori early childhood education while making a the conscious effort contribute towards making the sustainable development goal 4 (SDG) a reality, a goal that seeks to ensure inclusive and equitable quality education. Our solution to the rote method of education in Ghana is characterized by Our main objectives to encourage student-centered learning through hands-on learning and experiential activities which is supported by the school of thought that visual practical learning is the best for early years learning and more research that shows that the brain processes visuals 60000 times faster than text and that children between the ages of 3-6 years are better visual learners than rote learners. We are therefore not only committed in improving the quality of education in Ghana and Africa through the hands-on learning approach but also provide provide capacity building and upgrading of Teachers to improve their teachers’ skills Montessori learning lessons and on the use of the Montessori learning materials either as a sole method of teaching or as a fused method with their national teaching curriculum.

Our materials have been widely accepted and recommended as among the quality produced Montessori materials by our clients.Based on feedback from our clients it has also been determined that our locally produced material have saved a lot of them from exorbitant shipping fees they would have paid to procure the materials and have it shipped to Ghana.
Our organisation has also set up a school to test for the feasibility and successful implementation of the Montessori method of education to acquire data on how it achieves our organisations aim.

This research is the reason why we are in business and has fueled our determination and commitment to seeing this project provide sustainable education.

Our main motivation to engage in this project and why we think it is the right time to do so is characterized by our passion to to contribute towards making the sustainable development goal 4 a reality which is intended to ensure inclusive and equitable quality education be it training potential Montessori educators or providing affordable Montessori teaching and learning materials to teach.
