AgrigreensApp- Prevent Lives ,Save good in Drought Areas.
AgriGreensApp, wants to solve in the locality of Tokombere the problem of the effects of climate change on agriculture.
this problem affects a large part of the population, because 95% of the inhabitants of this locality are essentially rural, that is to say living from agricultural activity.
On the one hand, it is a matter of extending the dry seasons by up to 8 months, and on the other, it is a disruption of the seasons, which does not allow farmers to control the right sowing periods.
several consequences result from this problem, it acts among others: the abandonment of education by the young person and in particular the young girl, the difficult access to the care of health, the proliferation of the diseases such as cholera, the insecurity food ( food carrenses ...).
With regard to the issue related to education, it must be said that 70% of girls in Cameroon are illiterate. the area most affected by this phenomenon is the north, with 1 million girls aged 10-19, or 31% of girls in the region, are illiterate.
It is a mobile application, making it possible to democratize access to information in relation, where appropriate, to climate change. The following devices installed on the various sampling sites will collect the parameters sought, a thermometer, a hydrometer, an anemometer and a rain gauge. These different will be equipped with sensors allowing the transfer of data to a server in which the various calculations will be carried out in order to generate the information on an interface of the application installed in a
PC or on a Smartphone. The features of the app are as follows:
Establishment of a map making it possible to classify the areas of the country most affected by the effects of climate change and to predict their evolution over the next 10 years;
Ensure awareness by setting up a mechanism to automatically generate messages (SMS, WhatsApp, E-mail) on previously designed themes and at defined frequencies.
Collect and record climatic parameters (temperature, humidity, wind pressure and rainfall) to redefine new seasons and predict optimal periods for sowing.
Our solution also integrates field activities, in particular awareness campaigns, training and capacity building workshops and innovations compétitions.
Our solution is aimed at all the population of Cameroon and the world, however another component, in particular field actions, mainly concerns the populations of Tokombéré. These are pupils, students, administrative, religious and traditional authorities. And especially to farmers who are the direct beneficiaries of all actions undertaken within the framework of the project.The population of Tokombéré is 95% rural and 66% of this population depends mainly on agriculture. The latter is directly and significantly affected by the effects of climate change, which leads to significant agricultural losses and therefore a drop in yields. The decline in yield leads to reductions in income within households, hence the negative impact on several sectors of community life (education, health, nutrition, etc.). The solution we propose will allow these populations to better integrate into aconstantly changing environment (mobile application for collecting and analyzing climate data) and will provide them with the necessary tools for sustainable agriculture.
Several tools were used to choose the locality to benefit from our solution, first of all there are administrative reports which classify the Far North as the area most affected by the effects of climate change. In addition, during awareness-raising activities, talks and surveys carried out in the field, we were able to identify the Tokombéré area as a strong agricultural basin and therefore likely to be particularly affected.
The project leader has significant experience in humanitarian action and sustainable development, thanks to the many works carried out with several NGOs, IOs and associations. Other members of the team have also led projects related to carbon sequestration, in particular the development of aquaponics. He is also a native of this locality and knows that nobody this part.

- Concept: An idea for building a product, service, or business model that is being explored for implementation.
to first meet other cultures, learn more, gain expertise and experience and also earn funds to finalize and set up the application.Work more with expert people, who have a great technical mastery of the thing, to develop other alternatives and to help others who suffer from the problems due to the effects of climate change.
- Business Model (e.g. product-market fit, strategy & development)
- Monitoring & Evaluation (e.g. collecting/using data, measuring impact)
- Technology (e.g. software or hardware, web development/design)
team leader a very great activist from the far north region of cameroon he knows nobody the problems to which the populations of this area are affected and especially being an area with intense drought and the absence of trees a lot of these populations face a major food crisis, especially during the dry season. He is the best equipped person.
the innovative character of the project is that the project not only integrates indigenous populations in the fight against the effects of climate change, but also will provide them with a technological mapping and monitoring tool to predict the evolution of climate change.
Objectives
Raising public awareness on the issue of climate change (causes, consequences and control measures);
Provide the necessary tools for effective fight against climate change;
Encourage innovative projects in the fight against climate change;
Collect and analyze climate data.monitoring of activities such : Awareness campaign Educational talks
meeting with community leaders (village chief, association president, religious leaders, etc.), farmers, breeders and all civil society actors. This exchange will focus on the presentation of the current environmental situation, the causes, the consequences and the measures to fight. During this workshop, various tools will be used, in particular the projection of explanatory images.
Environmental education
It will target students in primary school, high schools and colleges and higher education with an approach adapted to the school level.
.Primary school
It will be a dynamic approach, in order to give students knowledge about the environment and the climate, while showing them the merits of taking better care of it. The tools used will be projections of cartoons, green magazines designed by the project team and excursions.Secondary
The themes that will be discussed will concern man in the ecosystem and climate change (causes, consequences and methods of struggle). To facilitate the understanding of the lectures with PowerPoint will be provided, a guide in relation to the themes addressed and cinematographic projections.
Students
This will involve organizing seminars on topics such as sustainable development, climate change, impacts on the economy and the purchasing power of populations. There will be PowerPoint projections and films related to the themes discussed.
Training workshops
1-Reforestation
It particularly concern primary and secondary school pupils and students. This will be an activity during which they will be trained by experts on the techniques of reforestation of the environment. More specifically, it will be a question of choosing a space and planting tree seedlings there with a high capacity for carbon sequestration, however the chosen trees may have other uses (Example: medicinal).
Concept one inhabitant one tree: it will be a question of bringing the populations to participate in the process of reforestation by providing them with seedlings and the methods of planting and monitoring the plans.
2: Sustainable cultivation techniques
The overall objective of this workshop is firstly to show farmers how to develop new strategies allowing them to adapt to the effects of climate change and on the other hand provide the necessary tools to practice environmentally friendly agriculture. .
3: Valorization of plastics
It will focus on the different techniques for recovering plastic waste. The practical case will be mainly oriented on the manufacture of furniture, kits, lamps, flower pots and fish farming tanks made from plastic bottles.
.Project competition
It will be divided into several categories:
Elementary students: they will have to come up with a solution to fight climate change in the form of a drawing.
High school students: they will have to make mini-prototypes translating a solution to the problem of climate change or establishing all the interactions between man and his environment.
Farmers and agricultors the last actor.
- 1. No Poverty
- 2. Zero Hunger
- 3. Good Health and Well-being
- 4. Quality Education
- 13. Climate Action
- 15. Life on Land
the project is measurable by the proportion of the population affected by our actions, the actions on the ground through the realization of our chronogram of activities, the number of spaces restored through the reforestation activities.
the theory of change is due to the fact that the project involves all societal stakeholders, linking all the actions of the social chain to unify the forces and guide the actions of struggle so that the objectives are shared and to facilitate the implementation application and fight in a sustainable way against the effects of climate change.

Our inclusive approach comes from the fact that it is a project that will integrate all social strata, not only the indigenous populations, the first victims, the authorities, the organizations, it is part of an approach of inclusive participation of social actors, the respect for their affiliation and their culture or even religion.
The AgrigreensApps project targets the inhabitants of the locality of Tokombéré, given their vulnerable financial situation, the latter face countless consequences due to the effects of climate change (drought, food insecurity, deficiency diseases, access to difficult health care, and the abandonment of education which particularly affects young girls). Our project therefore aims to implement a set of activities (awareness raising, training workshop, innovation competition and reforestation), with the aim of contributing to the improvement of the living conditions of the target populations. In a context of changing seasons, farmers in the tokombéré area have suffered significant agricultural losses and no longer have a basis for establishing an agricultural calendar. In addition to this, the severe drought accentuates the phenomenon of desertification. Based on this observation, we believe that the populations of this locality are a target for the solution proposed in our project; because we will allow them to improve their agricultural performance through training workshops such as sustainable farming techniques, to master new seasonal variations by setting up a mobile application for collecting and analyzing climate data finally, the project will make it possible to fight against desertification through activities such as reforestation, with the one family one plant initiative.
- Individual consumers or stakeholders (B2C)
The realization of our project will require the provision of funds that will allow the execution of social activities for the well-being of the Tokombéré populations.
To this end, the project team plans to set up a mobile application that will be sold through the Play store platform. At the end of the first year we plan to register more than 20,000 users of this application. Other funds will come from the sale of equipment made from plastic bottles, in particular tables, chairs, kits and flower pots... agreements will also be signed with the urban community, and all the decentralized services in relation to our problematic for support, technical, material and financial. Farmers will contribute monthly to benefit from training and support in sustainable cultivation techniques.
the organization of eco-sustainable workshops through sustainable techniques to improve their yields through the intervention of experts in the environmental field,the establishment of a map to better detect the most affected areas,pour la collecte et d’analyse des données climatiques enfin la projet permettra de lutter contre la désertification à travers les activités telles que le reboisement, avec l’initiative une famille un plant.
