Habitat Scaling of gene-modified Sea-& snow-white Land-Grass

The addressed problem is the global scale climate crisis that carbon abundance mainly in oceans - acting as carbon buffers - but also in the atmosphere is a contributing factor to. However, I don't have a team and only have these suggestion ideas, but also wanted to provide the ideas in case some could make use of it.

The United Nations Environment Program (UNEP) describes seagrass meadows as one of the most threatened and at the same time least noticed ecosystems on earth. According to UNEP, preserving seagrass meadows is one of the “secret weapons” in the fight against climate change.

My solution idea would be the careful application of gene-manipulation technologies on sea-grass & land grass to rapidly create as many variations of as many kinds of these plants as reasonably possible, followed by tested planting, growth & extended exposure of them first in limited, controlled, actual natural environments imitating varieties of artificially set up environments to check for possible ecosystem side-effects, ultimately for the goal of obtaining variants capable of spreading across currently (sea-)grass-less (ocean) regions or out-competing less carbon capturing existing (sea-)grass and more white, light-reflecting variants in the case of land grass as conceivable substitution of the melting (ant-)arctic regions.

The solution presumably would serve up to the global world population subjected to the climate crisis & supposedly especially the poor regions already or soon affected by the crisis leading to food insecurities, by dampening the overall temperature increase rate to "buy time" short-term & increasing earth's natural carbon-capturing capacity long-term, to avert volatile and extreme climate periods.

I suggest others to consider working on this solution idea, as I am in fact not well-positioned to personally work on this solution concept, nor do I have a team for it, and most likely this will not change soon, as I'm busy enough voluntarily working on the most urgent, macro-ethically most important subject matter of our time & beyond, summarized here:

I'm applying to not waste opportunities for application of ideas of mine for which I see great potential usefulness overall. I'd mainly hope MIT Solve can help me overcoming market (or rather outreach) barriers on the to my solution not directly related Solar System Crisis. Unfortunately it just so also turns out to seem to be the case that - depending on the UN's & the global population's stance on outer space activities & updating the Outer Space Treaty - a faster continuation of the climate crisis (though also the Kessler-syndrome) could possibly - in far from ideal - even aid in reducing the risk of irresponsible, reckless, as point of no return irreversible kick-starting of evolution of life that octillions of wildlife animals then could mainly needlessly suffer from at ice moons or exoplanets throughout the next decades, since more wild weather can delay and prevent rocket launches and damage space ports, hence putting that much more urgency on fixing the largest scale crisis first or at least fast enough relative to the overcoming of the climate crisis.

Part of my approach to diversity - as in cultural attributes represented in my team - is focus on life-long learning.
