This calculation is by the amount of fuel that can be burnt per combustion Engine in internal combustion Engine for eight horse power engine the amount of fuel burnt per compression unit is amount to the quantity of fuel consume, so in one hour this Engine release the amount of carbon with respect to the fuel in an hour of which this Engine operations at a constant speed. of cause for an hour, it consumes fuel of 5 litters/hour generates the same power. One hour power is equivalent to 746watts, for the 8 hours power is equivalent to 8* 764 is
From Stoichiometric combustion Analysis A fuel oil containing 84% carbon, and 12% hydrogen by weight is burnt by means by high pressure air burner the product of combustion contains 10% CO2 by volume in gaseous product. For Stoichiometric combustion of 1kg of fuel. Reactant C = 0.84(mass), H = 0.12(mass) Stoichiometric Oxygen = 3.27kg/kg. Now the actual combustion in 1Kg of fuel =0.84*0.12*3.27= 0.329616 carbon emission for five hours equal 5933.088kg of carbon Emission. Therefore, Operations of Digital Cassava processing machine reduces the emission in five of to equivalent of 5933.088kg of carbon

.
The theoretical Analysis for the machine
Determination of Force required
The hydraulic jack is expected to provide the force required for the compression of the specimen.
Let P = the maximum operating compressing pressure
Ac = surface area of block/brick sample to be compressed
The force required to be supplied by the hydraulic jack, F is given by the relation:
Force = Pressure× Area
Determination of size of the frame supports
Let the force acting on each support be Fs
Therefore; Fs =
Noting that the four supports are loaded in tension, then the diameter of each column is given as: = nF/ A
Where, = yield stress of material of support
n = factor of safety
A = cross sectional area of support
But the cross sectional area of each support is cylindrical in nature thus,
A = d², where d = diameter of support
A
Therefore,
=
Then, d = 4nFs
Determination of Thickness of Top Plate
The condition of the Plate is such that it is clamped at the four corners and the loading is taken to be uniformly distributed under the surface of the plate as the block/brick sample is compressed between it and the bottom plate. The thickness of the Top plate is given by Faupel and Fisher (1981),
= 0.0284w [1/1.056(b/a ]
E
Therefore; t = 0.0284w [1/1.056(b/a +1]
E
Where; = maximum deflection
w = uniformly distributed load
b = breath of plate
a = length of plate
t = thickness of plate
E = modulus of elasticity of material of plate.
Determination of Thickness of Middle Plate
Unlike the top plate, the condition of the middle plate is such that it is not clamped at the four corners, it is free to move up or down the four cylindrical supports therefore, the reactions at the supports are horizontal and not vertical. The loading is taken to be uniformly distributed over the surface of the plate as the block/brick sample is compressed between it and the top plate. The thickness of the Middle Plate is given by Eugene A. and Theodore B. (1991),
=
Therefore; t = kw/E
Where; = maximum deflection
w = uniformly distributed load
b = breath of plate
t = thickness of plate
E = modulus of elasticity of the plate
K = constant that depends on b/a
3.2.3 Determination of Thickness of Bottom Plate
The condition of the bottom Plate is such that it is clamped at the four corners and the
Loading is the concentrated type acting at the center of the plate. The thickness of the bottom plate is given by Eugene A. and Theodore B. (1991),
= K F/E
Therefore; t = KF / E
Where; = maximum deflection
F = concentrated load
b = breath of plate
t = thickness of plate
E = modulus of elasticity of material of the plate
K = constant that depends on b/a
Determination of Weight of whole Assembly
The weight of the whole assembly is needed in order to determine the size of wheel axle. So the weight is given by the expression,
W =Ws + Wt +Wh +Wb
Ws= weight of structure
Wt= total weight of bolts
Wh= weight of hydraulic jack
Wb= weight of block/brick sample
The fabrication process for the machine
The fabrication process of the compression testing machine will be achieved using an electric arc-welding process, the processes to be used are:
- Acquiring the materials to be used for the fabrication according to prescription for an efficient and reliable machine.
- Cutting to dimensions.
- The joining process.
- Filing process.
- The rough sanding and smoothening process.
- The connection of some adaptive products.
- The spraying/painting process and run testing of the machine.
Description of the Machine
The compression machine consists of a load frame with suitable platens and an electric motor that rotates the hydraulic jack and pressure gauge. The pressure gauge is connected to the hydraulic pump by means of a pressure pipe. The gauge is calibrated and capable of measuring pressure up to 5000 psi or 34.45pa which though cannot accommodate the test pressure of burnt clay bricks but that of blocks. It can however test compressive strength of clay bricks but only for demonstrative purposes.
TEST REPORT/WORKING PRINCIPLE
Samples to be tested, and were carefully placed between the centres of the plates of the designed machine. Loads were then applied then the electric motor connected to the solar system installed is plugged to an AC output of 220-250V with 50Hz in order for it to power the shaft through the construction of a crank mechanism that links the motor to the jack
