Indonesia Has A Serious Garbage Problem. Waste production in Indonesia reaches 67,8 million tonnes each year. The organic waste amount is the biggest compared to other types of waste in Indonesia. The percentage of organic waste is 60% and plastic waste 14%. Government regulation and civic participation are not in sync.
we create a hyperlocal system that encourage household to watch and categorizing their own residential waste in term of managed and unmanaged. Then the system show information to waste picker or scavenger to collect the garbage at certain time. The website show the amount of garbage that can be reduced than just thrown to Solid Waste Collection Point (TPS) everyday, this will make the government know that the citizens already take actions and at what level so that they can implement the same method for the whole society.
the system are on whatsapp and website. users can choose to use whatsapp or website to report the garbage level and choose the collection. The scavenger or waste collector can check which location have the most ready grabage to pick up
the underserved stay at home parents can have additional revenue from selling their garbage to be recycled or they can have small chicken farm or other animal farm that can consume the organic waste.
the scavenger or garbage collector can get their garbage that can be sold separated at source so it would not dirty and can have greater value that wet garbage at collection point
the government can have the aware citizens that can separate wet and dry garbage, so that the government can make a schedule of garbage collection so they can handle wet and dry garbage separately and can turn the dry garbage into energy more efficiently
yohana is the leader of parent community called indonesian babywearers that have more than 5.000 members at cities of Indonesia. Yohana have programming skill so that she can test the program and understand the user feedback and make necessary change faster
Holy Sie (co-founder) is formerly the leader of mom work community ( a micro cloud kitchen community) and a good marketing person and she lead the program communications
Roseline (co-founder) is the lecturer and health practitioner that have a good understanding on data analytic and researches so she lead on choosing with parameters should be measured and published to push the mitigation process

We use whatsapp and location based integrated with the website. As whatsapp users are increasing rapidly and engage more, we can reach more people. We serve the stay at home parents that can influence their neighbour to be involved.
we use poin system as reward method that can be exchanged for food or household need or trainings or money to start a business, so that interest the low income users to participate in.
the impact goals for the next year is to convert the underserved offline community member into the digital system of garbage handling. We're targetting 1.000 people at this year and 1.000.000 people at next 5 years.
we start by focusing on one area at a time, increasing the percentage of neigborhood participation, so that the collection process of garbage that can be reuse or recycled is efficient,regularly happen, and continuously at one area then influence others areas to duplicate the steps

we measure the amount of garbage that can be reduced, reused and recycled.
we measure the revenue that scavenger and household can get from the handling the garbage.
we measure percentage of how many garbage handling by government that like to sync with this citizens behaviour.
Activities
- households can have regular and continuously categorizing the garbage and can separate the dry and wet garbage,
- when government can clearly scheduling different days for collecting wet and dry garbage
that reduce the garbage management cost at collection points. and government can have dry garbage in less effort so that can move faster to transform that to energy by burning it
we use integrated whatsapp and website system that have location based feature and poin system as reward for encourage users keep engage.
when scavenger targetting such area, He/she can see what level of garbage is available at that area and he/she can announce the schedule via whatsapp so that the households can bring the garbage that can be reuse-reduce-recycle at certain time and location for the scavenger can collect them.
By putting mark on garbage bag that have characteristic of dry garbage at many and frequent amount regularly, will make government aware that they should collect the dry garbage separately from the wet one.

we use whatsapp so that the users that can be involved not just based on existing community members, but can be anyone and any condition at certain area.
scavenger mostly are seen as a person that at bottom of society where they are collecting garbage by walking from home to home knocking the doors whether there are garbages that can be collected to sale. By using technology they can do their work cleaner and profesionally and they can get along with the households more confidently.
