Teenage impregnanted number is increasing Yearly by example in Rwanda as report shows :

• in 2016 17,444 teenager aged between 15 to 19 years old impregnanted
• in 2018 number increase up to 20,000 teenagers
• and 38% of children under 5 years are malnutrited

As the problem on african level especially sub-saharan countries,

with the problem stated above i come up with solution using technology to implement

• Menstrual cycle monitoring platform(USSD, Mobile App, Web)
• Advices of good diet  and remind deserved service to pregnant women and women with child under 5 years by SMS. 
• Provision of digital identity private forum to allow them communicate freely and share ideas
• Business ideas generation based on interest,Age and capital, to show them ways they can make money

With that solution will help to overcome the  problems of teenage pregnancy and Malnutrition to children under 5 years

this solution will result to achieving Lower school dropout,zero hunger,Healthy lives, and active labor market

As UNFPA said in July 2018,7.3 Million teenagers impregnanted before they are 18 years old,

while 2.5 Million teenagers die during child birth,this issue is the second,and the report shows that most of the youth dodes not use condoms,the numbers for girls who used it are44% while boys are 66% in 2015

shows that teenagers aged between 15 to 19 in east african contries(Rwanda,Uganda,Kenya,Burundi and Tanzania) got undesired pregnancy number is increasing yearly By the Report

In Rwanda 17,444 teenagers impregnanted in 2016 while in 2018 number increased up to 20,000 teenagers that are equal to populations one of the sector of district Nyanza in Rwanda.

In Burundi teenagers in rural areas impregnanted are 8% while in Urban areas like Bujumbura are 10%

In Uganda teenagers impregnated and child mothers are 25% a quarter of all teenagers in the country.

this problem increases while each government has different policy but does not work to reduce number of teenagers impregnated.

I approached 100 different people in different fields,

• 11 were student from University and colleges
• 26 were student from High school
• 13 were parents
• 31 were teenagers impregnated 
• 7 were Teachers and lectures from different school and Universities
• 12 were community health workers

During the data collection I asked the cause that lead to the rising problem of teenagers impregnated and the ideas of the possible solution that can help to support in reduction of teenagers impregnated

as Solution 

• 24% said that there is a big gap between children & parents communication because of Nation culture and doctrine
• 37% said that the problem is that they are not aware of menstrual cycle calculation 
• 16% knows to calculate they are not aware of the period cycle changes 
• 23% Poverty that lead to being manipulated  using things like necklaces,food

As the solution to the problem shown above from stakeholders, as they were suggesting tool to help them,

i come up with tips that would help to solve problem teenage pregnancy using different technologies

• Menstrual cycle monitoring platform(USSD, Mobile App, Web)

This platform will help teenage to record their menstrual information and platform provide prediction of the next cycle and give regular notifications to the user to remind her that she would take care and be attentive based on the period

• Advice to healthier diet & remind deserved services to pregnant

women and women with child under 5 years

this will help to fight for malnutrition among the children under 5 years, as it was discussed in March 2019 national retreat that Malnutrition in rwanda it is not only poverty but also lack of healthier diet information to the mothers who are there to feed their chidlren, by providing this information they will be aware of how to nutrient to serve their children

• Provision of digital identity private forum to allow them communicate

freely and share ideas

User will be given public ID to be used when communicating with others, they will be free to communicate because none will know each other

Business Ideas generation based on Interest age and Capital

Platform will generate business idea to the user based on interest, age and even capital that will help in fighting for poverty.

TECHNOLOGY TO BE USED AND PROCEDURES

To implement those solution i'll be using

Web:This will help Public institution like Ministry of health, NGOs for family planning and promotion to updates ,broadcast,share opportunities and notes to the user, user will use web to add some information, monitor their menses, and news updates

Mobile App: Using Smartphones user will add menstrual information,get news updates receive regular notification and forum access

SMS(Short Message Service): will be used notify users about period changes and authentications

USSD (Shortcodes): this will be used by users located in non internet connectivity areas

It will be using USSD while existing one require Smarthphones,

In sub-saharan countries are facing Internet connectivity problems,this will be accessible by everyone and in native languages include Kinyarwanda

For business model user will be charged amount of notifications while predictions service is free

Accessible to everyone face the problem,Using technology they already  have

right now it is being tested by 60 people 

after one year working i project to serve 25,000 users

after 5 years project to serve more than 2,000,000 users

My goal is ensure healthy live by solving most society challenges using technology

• Technical skills to implement AI based solution
• Having enough data 

-By Searching for grants 

-Learning using tools i have to learn Machine learning algorithms

-By using my app to get data,as the time goes on it will provide enought data
