Solar powered cold rooms
An Estimated 1.3 Billion Tones Of Food Is Wasted Each Year Which Is One Third Of All Food Produced For Human Consumption.
Women and adolescent girls comprise on average 43% of the agricultural labor force in developing Countries, Female-headed households represent 22 percent of the total agricultural households in Uganda. But due to discriminatory gender norms, they have limited access to productive resources such as equipment and economic resources.
If women accessed the same productive resources as men, they could increase yields on their farms by 20%–30%.
Therefore by SPOWCOR Enterprises closing this gender gap, there will be an improved agricultural productivity, reduction of poverty and hunger and promotion of economic growth.
We are going to make solar powered cold rooms and sell them to organized group of female farmers at Buy Now and Pay Later service so as to increase food security and incomes for farmers in Uganda and Sub Saharan Africa.
We are also going to use artificial intelligence to innovate a mobile app that will link these farmers to consumers for their unsold but still in good condition food stored in the cold rooms before they go to waste at an affordable fee.
Our solar powered cold rooms will provide sustainable and affordable storage facility and market space solutions to Farmers living in regions with inadequate power supply. These Farmers will be able to turn their houses into cold rooms and as well use our moveable refrigerators on the farm, during food transportation, at the market stalls and in the factories.
Our solution serves female farmers by giving them access to to productive resources such as equipment and economic resources like the storage facility at buy now and pay later

Women and adolescent girls comprise on average 43% of the agricultural labor force in developing Countries, Female-headed households represent 22 percent of the total agricultural households
Therefore we are choosing to focus on organized female farmer cooperativesOur choosing to focus on female farmer cooperatives will enable them increase yields on their farms by 20%–30%, there will also be an improved agricultural productivity, reduction of poverty and hunger and promotion of economic growth in Africa
We are also going to use artificial intelligence to innovate a mobile app that will link these farmers to consumers for their unsold but still in good condition food stored in the cold rooms before they go to waste at an affordable fee.
The proposed idea is to create a mobile app using Artificial Intelligence that will help farmers and food market vendors in Africa have access to market space where they are able to sell their unsold, Affordable, Good Condition Almost Expiring food at a reduced Price .It Will also allow customers Purchase food from Food Market stalls and have the orders pre- placed and have their food delivered on time at a very affordable fee.
To reduce Food waste the Spowcor mobile app will be built.
A text-to-text, Voice E-commerce bot will engage customers in conversation about food needs and provides a personalized select of the available food products in stock based on their on their need, Locality .
The user can chat as if chatting with a human. The app then ask the user a series of questions about their needs, where they are based, the Quantity needed to intelligently learns which products to avail in the Listing.
At the back end our partner farmers and Food Market stall Owners can upload their food products with details of expiry date, Original price and preferred price of sell before expiry
At the Back end farmer cooperatives register to sell their products on our mobile app ,then our team does due diligence and then after MOU and Quality assurance Manual is signed and the company is given a portal to submit the Photos of the Products to be sold three weeks to expiry .
Other capabilities include;
Learning and Capturing the individual shopping trends that when a give product comes on board an automated message is sent to their WhatsApp.
It should capture the seasonal demand and trends and should be able to come up with a report of what is taken in a given month after studying the shopping trends in a given area for three years
