Bidderly - AI Powered Procurement Solution
Procurement is the new, old VC.
While the focus has largely been on VC funding of MWBE [minority women-led business enterprises], procurement is the silent force in the funding and R&D world spanning $3.25trillion in the US State and Local government market alone.
We address this gap. First, via transparency of data, second, via targeted information that sifts through the massive input of plain text files that are impossible for small businesses to aptly navigate.
The barriers to entry not only affect funding streams for SME's, they also prevent our governments from true innovation by reducing the amount of high-quality bids.
This has the potential to not only help small businesses grow, but can also change the fabric of our cities by increasing the diversity of our bidders.
There is a lack of funding for small businesses despite the need from cities and government procurement agencies for a competitive bidding process.
The US federal government purchases $500B in goods and services.
US State and Local governments purchase $3.25T in goods and services.
This does not include metro,
Globally, most of the money that shapes our cities is in the form of procurement.
Most small businesses have little to no R&D budget to research these life-changing opportunities. They are forced to create logins for thousands of procurement websites, and the least expensive aggregators still have subscriptions of $10,000/year.
Women, minorities, small businesses that have the ability to tap into this global system of procurement. Platforms will be open-API, allowing for any jurisdiction and global entity that follows procurement processes to implement.
By implementing mass transparency and reducing the nearly $10000/p/y paywalls that private companies implement, we will open source the data to allow for small companies without entire R&D divisions to apply for contracts they are highly qualified for.
We aggregate this data globally from small cities to large procurement opportunities at CERN, source it onto a Zillow-type platform, use AI to directly target the businesses who qualify, and provide transparency into similar bids throughout the country. Long-term we will also be adding distributed ledger technology to track the disbursement of funds, implementing true transparency into a highly opaque world.

I formerly worked for a DARPA research lab and have published several papers funded by the US Army and Airforce Research lab and am intimately familiar with federal government contracting. I have also privately consulted on $1.5B of awarded contracts in the recyclables and waste management space, specifically by helping SME's become subcontractors even when they didn't qualify to bid on the contracts directly.
In an effort to more deeply understand the pain points on a more personal level, I bid on and won several small business contracts for my family coffee business within the past year. It was my desire to show that whether the contract is a high-level Airforce bid or something as simple as coffee delivery for your local city offices, anyone can take part in this world of procurement.
