Socio- Geopolitical Challenges for 17SGD2030 UN Agenda Goals

Ongoing governmental-societal setups and brown economy practices are totally misfit and rather resistive to climate change mitigation -CCM and climate change adaptation -CCA actions. For the first time in civilized history, minority advanced segment of the world, and majority developing segment have both been exposed as not properly knowing each other despite tremendous exchange of knowledge and knowhow internationally. Similarly internal relationships of regimes, regimens, and ruled populations have been discovered faulty without capacity for CCM-CCA. Traditional rigidities can hardly be rectified in short decades at the most by the final deadline of the year 2050. However, initiative is essential for civic security. Established science, engineering and technology - SET and non-SET spheres which have caused climate change can hardly be deployed for CCM-CCA without relevant revamp and upgrading of knowledge and knowhow. TWREEC contribution is in the pointed out direction.

Scale of sociopolitical, environmental, and climatic crises in Pakistan is global representative of fragility. However, national awareness and governmental-societal preparedness lacking as it should have not been. Pakistan is birth origin of Indus Civilization or the entire Indian subcontinent supported by the most distinct Indus River watershed originating from Himalayan Glacier range down to Arabian Sea. On either bank of the Indus River is inhabitation of diverse urban, rural, and tribal communities mostly uneducated, poor, or law disobeying. National landscape contains valuable and marginal site ranges and spots of all sorts ranging from mountain peaks, flood plains, deserts, and deltas all mismanaged and ruined because of deficient or wrong environmental interactions and responses by federal, provincial and local governments from the year of independence 1947 onward. Even brown economy education largely irrelevant to climate change actions is not adequate in the country. Acquiring education is deserved desire of Pakistani youth and so is the desire of foreign education which provides chance for leaving the homeland for good and demonstrating national love through foreign immigrations. This sort of patriotism has resulted in high corruption and societal divisions almost leaving no opportunity for weaker and poor communities. Local and global statistics on formal and informal climate-smart educational requirement can be well imagined from the fact that despite failure to the First Pathway of halting global warming below 1.5o C by the year 2030 is just 6 years away, majority signatories to PA2015, do not understand the basics of 17SDG2030 UN Agenda Goals.

TWREEC is neither climate change political force, activist, preacher or a pressure group but feels SET and non-SET deficiency of the world with discomfort. Natural ecological environmental - NEE ambush on manmade environment – MME, and social-cultural environment - SCE is so shocking as if NEE has been planning the foolproof/failsafe onslaught for centuries against ruthless human race. Without proposed sociopolitical situations particularly in developing countries the threatened Earth Planet can hardly be rescued. TWREEC solution is progressive towards induction of formal climate-smart education from middle school upward to university level, while informal induction is from highest governmental occupations towards bottom touching societal factions. Within TWREEC resources curricula shall be devised and PAT material developed for benefit of interested nations in as simplified manner as possible. SET and non-SET contents of the work shall be attempted for due balancing.

The entire composition of a nation as governmental-societal setup and various classes of populations shall be served irrespective of status. Social welfare, education, and justice for national populations ranging from bands, tribes, communities, society, and state are understood to be governmental responsibility but internationally failed bid. TWREEC solution is for all irrespective of QOL standing. Climate change is not effective as usual in political science, sociology, psychology, and other specifications unless welded with climate-smart SET knowledge and knowhow. CCM-CCA debate in context with sustainable survival is extraordinary teaching and learning challenge in the entire history of mankind so the solution will serve needs and wants of the targeted people in latent and sensible forms over generations.

From 1990 till 2015, TWREEC has been overwhelmingly devoting its R&D on Pakistan environment which it considered   immensely endangered while everyone around feeling everything is safe and sound. Post PA2015, TWREEC was first time informed that its work coincides with CCM-CCA efforts by an invitation for participating in Swiss launched GRP-Water Window. TWREEC besides participating in GRP upgraded its environmental R&D into climate change R&I quite conveniently. During the year 2021 TWREEC was honored as Deep Tech Pioneer Asia-Pacific and invited to two weeks long preparatory meetings ahead COP26,  similar invitations were received from World Bank for preparatory work on COP27, while  Best Climate Change CEO 2023 (Pakistan): Rashid Ahmed Global CFO Excellence Awards 2023! may be quoted as the current recognition. TWREEC cannot afford maintaining full time R&I teams because it has hugely suffered financial and property losses over the past 33 years as cruel governmental 'reward to misunderstood SET advancement efforts'. However, need based talent can be hired for meeting a SET/non-SET assignment.

TWREEC has throughout been spending its own resources and needs assistance for continuing its R&I for this global task.
