Cakap for the Nation
Equal access to quality education remains an issue in Indonesia, particularly among vulnerable groups and communities. The poor, communities living in the 3T areas, and migrant workers face their own set of challenges. The poor often lack access to adequate education and face welfare problems, which further limits their access to job opportunities. Communities in the 3T area also struggle with difficulties in accessing quality education, despite having their own unique educational needs to help develop their region and community. Migrant workers face security issues and human rights violations. Many are not equipped with the necessary education and skills needed to succeed in their work. All of these challenges stem from the lack of access to quality education that caters to the needs of these groups and communities.
By providing quality education, vulnerable groups and communities can become empowered and better equipped to protect their rights and advocate for their respective groups and communities. Quality education can help create vulnerable groups and communities to be active members of society who can initiate social change and promote civic action. By obtaining quality vocational and language education, vulnerable groups and communities can gain the knowledge and skills they need to succeed in their live while also allowing them to learn about and take civic action on social issues that affect their communities.
We provide education that can be adapted to the needs of vulnerable groups and communities, especially poor people, communities living in the 3T areas, and migrant workers to ensure maximum benefits are achieved. Starting from the learning materials that we develop are tailored to the context and needs of each group and community, to the use of our platform so that education can be delivered effectively and efficiently.
Cakap's solution mainly revolves around improving skills, especially on vocational skills and fluency in foreign languages. We are a large open online course enabled by technology applications via Learning Management System and two-way learning with feasibility to study anywhere & anytime.
Our main target is vulnerable groups and communities in Indonesia. Vulnerable groups and communities are groups and communities that have a higher risk of experiencing social, economic and political injustice and inequality. Vulnerable groups and communities that we target include:
Poor people: People who live in poverty or do not have adequate access to economic resources such as jobs, income and education.
Vulnerable children: Children who are marginalized, especially children who live in poverty, are orphaned, or have no access to education.
Communities in 3T areas: Communities in 3T areas (Frontier, Remote, and Disadvantage) who have problems in obtaining access to quality education and a low level of empowerment to develop their communities.
Migrant workers: Migrant workers are vulnerable to exploitation, violence and human rights violations.
Our solutions can have an impact on vulnerable groups and communities in Indonesia because we use a participatory approach in mapping problems and in providing solutions. Every community group and community can speak out regarding the problems they want to solve and together with Cakap find the best solution to solve the problem.
We have conducted extensive research to identify the needs of vulnerable groups and communities as potential beneficiaries. In addition, we also invite representatives from vulnerable groups and communities to act as facilitators and discuss with us the problems they face and the needs they face in dealing with these problems. This process can be the creation of the right solution for each group and community.
Our team has also partnered with more than 600 collaborators from educational institutions, companies, and government agencies to ensure that our solutions are responsive to the needs of the communities we serve. This collaboration allows us to co-create solutions with our potential beneficiaries, ensuring that the design and implementation of our solutions are guided by their input and ideas.
To ensure that our solutions remain responsive to the needs of the people and communities we serve, we have set up a feedback mechanism that allows our users to provide feedback about our products. This feedback is then used to continuously improve our solutions.
In conclusion, research and collaboration with vulnerable community and community stakeholders has enabled us to co-create solutions with our potential beneficiaries, ensuring that the design and implementation of our solutions are meaningfully guided by their input, ideas and agendas. Our team's commitment to continuous improvement through feedback mechanisms ensures that our solutions remain responsive to the needs of the communities we serve.

We are deeply committed to maximizing our social impact and creating an impact investment after implementing Cakap Untuk Bangsa. As a company, we go beyond the typical "business as usual" and sustain our services to reach future agents of change who need more assistance and affirmative actions. Our focus is on vulnerable groups and communities in Indonesia including poor people who live in poverty, vulnerable children who are marginalized, communities in 3T (Frontier, Remote, and Disadvantage) areas, and migrant workers who are vulnerable to exploitation, violence and human rights violations.. Our goal is to broaden our global networks and create as many collaborations as possible in the education sector to achieve Human Excellence vision in 2030 and Indonesia Emas 2045, our nation’s vision towards a prosperous, just and sovereign nation on its 100th anniversary in 2045. We believe that what we have done will sustain the impact not only in Indonesia but also ASEAN regions and even the world.
However, we recognize that we face significant barriers that could hinder our ability to achieve our goals. We require specific support from Solve to overcome financial, technical, legal, cultural, and market barriers. Financially, we need support in terms of access to capital to fund our expansion plans. The current pandemic situation has made it challenging for us to secure the necessary funding for our programs. Therefore, we seek help in identifying potential investors, venture capitalists, and grant-making organizations who share our vision and could provide us with the necessary funding.
On the technical front, we require expertise in developing our online learning platform to enhance the learning experience for our students. We need help in building a more engaging, interactive, and personalized learning experience for our users. We also require assistance in developing our mobile application, which will provide more access and flexibility to our users.
Legally, we face some challenges in terms of navigating the complex regulatory environment. We require assistance in understanding the legal framework around the education sector in Indonesia, including licensing and accreditation requirements, and data privacy regulations. We need help in ensuring that our platform complies with these regulations to ensure we are providing our users with a safe and secure learning environment.
Culturally, we need help in understanding the unique cultural nuances in different regions of Indonesia to develop more contextually relevant learning materials. We believe that by having more localized content, we can better serve the needs of our users, especially those in rural areas.
Finally, on the market front, we require assistance in developing our marketing and branding strategies. We need help in identifying the most effective channels to reach our target audience, building our brand, and enhancing our visibility. We also require guidance in developing our partnerships and collaborations with different stakeholders in the education sector, including schools, universities, and other organizations.
In conclusion, we are deeply committed to creating a sustainable impact in the education sector in Indonesia and beyond. However, we recognize that we face significant barriers that could hinder our ability to achieve our goals. We require specific support from Solve to overcome financial, technical, legal, cultural, and market barriers. We believe that with Solve's support, we can overcome these challenges and create a brighter future for Indonesia's education sector.

We involve our students from the beginning of the program until its completion. At the start of the program, we engage in discussions with participants to identify a program and course that suits their needs. Throughout the program, we actively monitor and evaluate it through research, using surveys and in-depth interviews, to gather input and ensure that we can provide the best and achieve maximum results for our students. At the end of the program, we once again request feedback from our students through surveys and interviews, as well as conduct impact measurements to assess the success and impact of the program. These three processes are our way of ensuring that the intended impact we plan for can be achieved.
