ShareCARD
Sharecard is a digital monitoring, evaluation and learning platform designed to empower civic activists to better understand and respond to the needs of their communities. It provides a solution to the accountability problem in the civic activism sector, where resources are often misallocated and fraud is rampant, by streamlining implementation partner deliverables and improving project accountability with real-time data.
Through secure mobile-based data collection, automated reporting, workflows, program participant profiling cards and user friendly management dashboard, Sharecard is helping to address the global civic learning challenge, affecting vulnerable communities who often lack access to resources and support they need from governments, NGOs and the development sector.
Clean data is needed to understand the civil learning space and identify areas for improvement, as well as hold those responsible for making positive change accountable.
The scale of the problem is significant, with an estimated 1 billion people living in poverty and over 821 million people going hungry by 2021, according to the World Bank and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals Report, respectively.
Sharecard’s solution is based on the idea of providing credit card-like cards that are linked to the identities of beneficiaries, so that organizations can track if someone has received similar support elsewhere and allocate aid to those who still need it. By providing an effective, transparent and accountable system, Sharecard is working to ensure resources are allocated to those in need and helping to create a better future for vulnerable communities.
ShareCARD is a cloud-based software-as-a-service (SaaS) that provides community development institutions with real-time data and analytics on how final beneficiaries are accessing their programs. It uses a three-dimensional tool that includes an admin dashboard, an agent app, and a beneficiary card.
The admin dashboard allows program implementers to gather, aggregate, and analyze verified data up to the final beneficiaries, while streamlining implementation partner deliverables, removing dupication while confirming resource distributions. The agent app allows program implementers to assess and qualify beneficiaries, while the beneficiary card enables performance visibility and impact mapping to improve project accountability.
ShareCARD uses a variety of cutting-edge technologies, including artificial intelligence, machine learning, and cloud computing, to ensure that the data collected is accurate and secure. This allows for efficient and reliable monitoring, evaluation, and learning, providing community development institutions with insight into how their programs are performing in real-time.
ShareCARD provides software as a service to help community development institutions directly and meaningfully improve the lives of their beneficiaries. Our target population are vulnerable, remote, and underserved populations, such as those living in rural, low-income, and conflict-affected areas. Our solution helps these people access the resources, services, and support they need in order to improve their quality of life.
ShareCARD's software helps community development institutions monitor and evaluate their programs in real-time, enabling them to identify areas of need, confirm resource distributions, and assess and qualify beneficiaries. This helps ensure that resources are being directed to the people who need them most, while also providing visibility into program performance and impact mapping. Furthermore, the platform streamlines all implementation partner deliverables, making it easier for users to access the resources they need without being marginalised.

in the next year, we want to expand our reach to at least 50 new users in Uganda, providing livelihood support to more than 100,000 vulnerable groups, while also securing necessary funding to keep our operations running and enable us to scale our impact. Additionally, we will work to accelerate development of highly requested features and improvement to the ShareCARD platform (offline mode, ussd, reminders and notifications comms functions).
For the next five years, our impact goal is to become a trusted and reliable source for impact mapping data for development projects in the African space, providing monitoring and evaluation software to more than 5000 development and livelihood programs serving approximately 10+ million beneficiaries. We will focus on building a valuable tool for remote visibility and building strategic partnerships and expanding our network of implementors and funders. We will also strive to identify and implement innovative technologies to further improve our services, such as mobile payment platforms, biometric authentication systems, and data visualization tools.
In order to achieve this goal, we will focus on creating a comprehensive, user-centric approach to impact validation and measurement. We will work to ensure that organizations are close to the beneficiaries and that first-hand experiences are captured and used to improve services and offerings. We will also work to develop an effective monitoring and evaluation system for funders of development projects to track and measure their progress against their impact goals.
High on our priority list for the environmental conservation agenda is reducing paper trails in the data collection and reporting process of companies. We believe less paper trails means less forest cover destruction for paper production. By encouraging and equipping organizations working with masses/ communities to embrace digital solutions we are saving trees. We will pursue partnerships with organizations that focus on improving climate resilience to give ShareCARD holders access to resources and information. We will also strive to develop a mindset shift on climate change-related topics, and sustainably track the impact and contributions of such organizations.
We will also focus on creating awareness about the importance of data for visibility and accountability in development projects, in order to ensure that our services are used to their fullest potential and that the impact of these projects is accurately measured and tracked.
Finally, we will strive to ensure that our services are accessible and affordable to all organisations, regardless of their size or budget. To this end, we will work to reduce the cost of our software, while also providing discounts and other incentives to organisations that use our software on a regular basis. Additionally, we will work to ensure that our services are available in multiple languages, to make our platform more accessible to a larger number of users.
By equipping each organisation with the necessary tools and resources to become self-sufficient and accountable, we hope to create a lasting and meaningful impact on the lives of vulnerable people and organisations serving them in the African space over the next five years.

Our business model is to provide a comprehensive B2B and B2G software platform to help users manage their field operation activities, analyze field agent data, identify trends, remove bias and make informed decisions on project implementation.
We offer a suite of services, with features such as secure mobile-based data collection, automated reporting, workflows, program participant profiling cards, and a user-friendly management dashboard. These features are accessible via a monthly subscription fee, which comes in three packages: a Starter Pack for $50/month, a Business Pack for $150/month, and an Enterprise Pack for +$500/month. For larger organisations, additional licensing plans can be arranged.
We are also exploring other potential revenue streams, such as data monetization for humanitarian researchers.
- Organizations (B2B)
Our plan for becoming financially sustainable is to focus on our B2B and B2G software platform and the services it offers. We will bring in revenue by offering subscription plans to customers that range from the Starter Pack for $50/month to the Enterprise Pack for +$500/month. We also plan to pursue additional revenue streams, such as data monetization for humanitarian researchers.
In order to ensure financial sustainability, we will actively seek out grants and contracts from governments and other organizations to further support our mission. We will also seek out investments from venture capital firms, angel investors, and other sources to continue developing our product and services and increase subscriptions and retain users annually.
Ultimately, our goal is to ensure that our revenue streams will cover our expected expenses, allowing us to remain financially sustainable and continue providing our software platform and services to our customers
So far, our plan to achieve financial sustainability has been successful in a few different ways. We went to market in October 2022 with an MVP and monetized with a starter pack of a $150 monthly subscription for our first client, an avocado outgrower called Biosyntec, managing/training 5000 remote outgrowers. They subscribed immediately paying a $4,350 in current and future subscription, showing they see the immense value. They referred two potential customers that are right now evaluating the adoption of the system. Other referrals have happened but due developements in key needed features, they are not yet closed but are interested in the testing process (such as GIZ).
This year we have had an additional subscription for a literacy program providing teaching services to underserved children. They intend to use ShareCard to give access to more education services for underserved children with their implementing pertners. We are also currently seeing interest from enterprise organisations like GIZ, UNHCR, UNFPA, CARE International, and Red Cross to solve the aid duplication problems that are causing resource bleeds in their programs. we plan to close the year with at-least 50 users serving upto 100,000 beneficiaries.
