Bold Revival
The specific problem that Bold Revival aims to solve is to incentivize more people to get involved in sustainable development efforts. According to Paul Krugman, incentives are an important economic tool to generate action.
While many individuals want to contribute to making the world a better place, they often lack the resources and incentives to do so. With 8 billion people on the planet, if each one contributes only one hour per week to sustainability to earn Bold Revival credits, we will have 416 billion man-hours to contribute to sustainability. In addition, participants will become aware of the sustainability requirements of our era and build skills that are much needed.
By providing a community currency, Bold Revival incentivizes individuals to contribute their time and skills towards Sustainable Development Goals. This currency can be used to claim various items, such as tuition fee discounts, haircuts, meals, and discounts at participating stores, making it a tangible reward for their efforts. By doing so, Bold Revival encourages more people to get involved in sustainable development efforts and helps to create a more sustainable future for all.
This community currency can also be integrated into the regular financial framework, allowing individuals to build credit not only based on monetary transactions but by contributing to the broader goal of sustainability.
I believe that if patron organizations support this initiative, we will have a much better world in a short time. It allows businesses to move away from greenwashing and build programs that will have significant sustainable impact and build goodwill directly with customers. Imagine a tagline like -"Sustainability and Good Karma has never tasted so good. Claim your Bold Revival Credits at McDonald's"
I feel the potential of a platform like this is limitless.
Bold Revival is a mobile and web-based application built on Python and Django that incentivizes individuals to contribute to sustainable development efforts through a community currency called Bold Revival Credits. The platform is based on the successful Fureai Kippu system used in Japan, but with a focus on a broader range of Sustainable Development Goals.
Participants work towards Sustainable Development Goals by contributing their time and skills to sustainable development efforts. Sponsor Organizations sponsor sustainable projects, and Managing Organizations manage the projects and provide feedback to participants based on their work. Analysis Organizations analyze the impact of the projects, and Patron Organizations provide funds to incentivize projects in cash or kind. Policy Makers like governments set policies for the system, and Projects are tied to one or more Sustainable Development Goals.
Bold Revival includes an analytics system based on work of Esther Duflo and Abhijeet Bannerjee that helps stakeholders understand the microeconomics of the projects and provides valuable insights into what is happening. The platform uses gamification techniques to find avenues of maximum impact, encouraging more people to get involved in sustainable development efforts.
The platform can be accessed through a desktop computer or mobile device. Participants can earn Bold Revival Credits by contributing to sustainable development efforts and redeem them for various rewards, such as discounts on tuition fees, meals, and other goods and services.
According to a report by the United Nations, the global population is projected to reach 9.7 billion by 2050, with many people living in poverty and lacking access to basic resources needed for sustainable living.
The Fureai Kippu system, which is similar to Bold Revival, has been successful in Japan, with over 36 million hours of community service provided by participants in 2019 alone.
In the United States, only 12% of workers have access to paid leave for community service, leaving many individuals unable to take time off to contribute to sustainable development efforts.
By providing a community currency that incentivizes individuals to contribute their time and skills towards Sustainable Development Goals, Bold Revival has the potential to significantly increase the number of people who actively engage in sustainable development efforts. With over 8 billion people on the planet, if each person contributes only 1 hour per week towards sustainability, this would result in 416 billion man-hours of contribution.
Furthermore, Bold Revival's platform for building new sustainable skills and gaining verified certificates can enhance users' resumes and increase their employability, leading to better economic opportunities and an improved quality of life.
In short, this project will be wonderful for every human being in the world. The goal of the project is to allow human beings to develop their potential to the fullest and make a difference in every aspect of their lives.
We also tap into the Mandala system of health and wellbeing and allow people to become healthier physically, mentally and spiritually.
As the founder and team lead for Bold Revival, I have extensive experience in project management, software development, and IT automation. I hold post-graduate certificates in IT project management and database application development, as well as a post-graduate diploma in computer science, and a bachelor's degree in engineering. I have also completed various certifications related to cloud platforms, cybersecurity, and software development.
My team and I have a deep understanding of the communities we are serving. We have been actively engaging with them through various channels, such as social media, community events, and meetings with local organizations. We have also conducted surveys and interviews to understand their needs and priorities.
Our solution is being developed with meaningful input from the communities we are serving. We have established partnerships with local organizations and governments to ensure that our solution aligns with their agendas and needs. We are also working closely with community members to design and test our platform to ensure that it meets their needs.
We believe that our experience in software development, project management, and IT automation, combined with our understanding of the communities we are serving, makes us the right team to design and deliver Bold Revival.
In addition to my educational background and work experience, I am also currently pursuing a Micromasters certificate in Data, Economics & Development Policy from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. This program provides me with a deep understanding of the intersection of data analysis, economic development, and public policy. This coursework has given me a more nuanced understanding of how technology can be used to address social issues and has helped me better understand the needs and concerns of the communities I aim to serve with Bold Revival.
In addition, I have seen poverty very closely. I have faced tremendous challenges as an immigrant to Canada and often felt the desire to contribute. However, I could not contribute due to lack of funds and resources. This will be the summary project of my life.

The Bold Revival Platform had a fully developed MVP as early as 2021. At this moment we have already connected with the Office of the Minister, Ministry of Education at Government of Ontario for a pilot project. We have been invited to send in a proposal. However, we will be happy to see this at MIT first. I am currently pursuing a Micromasters Certificate at MIT in Data Economics and Development Policy.
However, we are again changing the system to make it more robust for cybersecurity and make it compliant to the available standards.
As a Solver team, we face several barriers to the successful implementation and scaling of our Bold Revival solution. These include financial barriers, as we require funding to continue developing and improving our platform, as well as technical barriers, as we need expertise and resources to improve our analytics system and gamification techniques. Additionally, legal and cultural barriers may arise as we navigate the different regulations and customs in the regions where we hope to implement our solution.
We believe that Solve can help us overcome these barriers by connecting us with partners who can provide monetary and non-monetary support. This includes access to funding in the form of grants and investments, as well as in-kind resources such as software licenses and legal services. We would also greatly benefit from access to expert guidance and coaching, exposure in the media and at conferences, and networking opportunities with other impact-minded leaders and organizations.
Through the nine-month program offered by Solve, we believe that we can gain the necessary support and resources to continue developing and scaling Bold Revival. With Solve's help, we hope to overcome these barriers and make a meaningful impact in the lives of the underserved populations we aim to serve.
Eventually, if I am selected for MIT Masters in Data, Economics and Development Policy program - Bold Revival will serve as my capstone and life long thesis.
- Business Model (e.g. product-market fit, strategy & development)
- Financial (e.g. accounting practices, pitching to investors)
- Human Capital (e.g. sourcing talent, board development)
- Legal or Regulatory Matters
- Monitoring & Evaluation (e.g. collecting/using data, measuring impact)

- Public Relations (e.g. branding/marketing strategy, social and global media)
- Technology (e.g. software or hardware, web development/design)
This solutions combines old solutions with new. No significant effort has been made to capture efforts from sustainability data and this is where we believe our system can be innovative, effective and successful. We are building a ledger or karma and planning to bring heaven to earth (or where ever humanity reaches out in the stars in the future).
I am working on a proposal for the Ministry of Education, Government of Ontario. We hope to seek a 100,000 $ pilot project with the ministry and test our platform on the field with universities and high schools in Ontario. Securing this pilot is my major short term goal.
We want to keep this platform independent of private equity and thus we are making all effort to keep it independent and analyzing if a non profit model will work better for us. At this moment, Bold Revival is based on a for profit model. This will require some kind of financial reconciliation in the market to make it an effective model. We plan to charge a percent of the donations from businesses to aid in design and development of the platform and make this profitable. However, we will strive to achieve a B-Corp Certification.
In addition, we are working with credit rating agencies like Equifax to build something even more interesting. Equifax system will be used to authenticate users and build a robust user profile.

The analytics system is the core component we are using to measure our progress towards our impact goals. We are collecting and analyzing data on various aspects of our solution, including user engagement, impact on the target population, financial sustainability, and scalability. Additionally, we are monitoring our progress towards the UN Sustainable Development Goals that our solution addresses, using specific indicators associated with each goal. This data-driven approach helps us identify areas where we need to improve, make informed decisions, and track our progress over time.
Bold Revival is based on the idea that it is a mini circular economy that allows for the exchange of credits not only with patron organizations but also with other individuals, creating a system of incentives that encourages people to contribute their skills and knowledge to the community. By providing an alternative to the traditional monetary system, Bold Revival is able to include people who may otherwise be excluded due to lack of financial resources or other barriers.
In the new era of AI, Bold Revival could become a go-to system for people in case of layoffs or other financial setbacks, providing a way for them to continue to contribute their skills and earn credits that can be exchanged for goods and services. Additionally, by partnering with organizations like MIT to offer online courses and academic credit in exchange for Bold Revival credits, the system can incentivize people to continue to learn and develop new skills, helping them to stay competitive in the job market and contribute to the wider economy. This will prepare us for action and will enable rapid re-skilling of the world manpower.
Overall, the theory of change for Bold Revival is based on the idea that by providing a system of incentives that values skills and knowledge over money, it can create a more inclusive and equitable economy that benefits everyone, regardless of their financial situation or other barriers they may face.
Bold Revival is a platform that uses modern technology to enable a mini circular economy. The platform uses blockchain technology to track and verify transactions between individuals and organizations, ensuring transparency and security. Additionally, the platform incorporates AI algorithms to match individuals with relevant opportunities and skills that they can exchange for credits. These credits can be used to access goods and services offered by other individuals or organizations on the platform, creating a mutually beneficial exchange system that promotes community building and social inclusion. The use of modern technology and innovative approaches to economic exchange makes Bold Revival a unique and impactful solution for addressing financial inclusion and skill-building challenges in communities around the world.
While we are still in progress and currently developing the analytical system, the the basic application has been fully developed and ready to deploy.

Bold Revival is committed to incorporating diversity, equity, and inclusivity into our work. We believe that diverse perspectives and backgrounds lead to better solutions and outcomes. Our leadership team includes individuals from a variety of racial, ethnic, and cultural backgrounds, as well as a range of gender identities and abilities.
In order to further promote diversity, equity, and inclusion within our team, we have set goals to actively recruit and hire individuals from underrepresented communities. We also strive to create a welcoming and inclusive environment for all team members, and regularly review our policies and practices to ensure that they are inclusive and equitable.
In addition to these internal efforts, our solution itself is designed to promote equity and inclusivity. By providing an alternative currency system that is accessible to individuals who may not have access to traditional financial systems, we aim to promote economic inclusion and empowerment. We also prioritize partnerships and collaborations with organizations that are led by or serve marginalized communities.
We are committed to ongoing learning and growth in the areas of diversity, equity, and inclusion, and are always seeking feedback and input from our team members, partners, and community members.
It is a commission-based model that generates revenue through partnerships with organizations and institutions interested in using the platform to offer non-monetary incentives to their employees, volunteers, and community members. The platform generates revenue by selling Bold Revival credits to these organizations, which can be exchanged for skills and services offered by members of the platform. The revenue generated is used to cover the operating costs of the platform and to fund ongoing development and improvement efforts. Additionally, the platform may generate revenue by selling data insights and analytics generated by the platform to interested parties such as researchers and policy-makers.
- Organizations (B2B)
As mentioned earlier, Bold Revival's business model involves generating revenue through partnerships with organizations and institutions that are interested in using the platform to offer non-monetary incentives to their employees, volunteers, and community members. These organizations and institutions can purchase Bold Revival credits which can be exchanged for skills and services offered by members of the platform. The revenue generated from these partnerships is used to cover the operating costs of the platform and to fund ongoing development and improvement efforts.
Additionally, the platform may also generate revenue through the sale of data insights and analytics generated by the platform to interested parties such as researchers and policy-makers.
Overall, our goal is to create a financially sustainable model that can support the growth and impact of the platform while also providing value to our partners and members. We will continuously evaluate and adjust our revenue streams as necessary to ensure that they cover our expected expenses and allow us to achieve our mission.
We hope to break even this year with a pilot project from the government of Ontario, which is a promising step towards financial sustainability. We hope to make 5% of the $1,000,000 you have requested to be spent on the pilot project with the government of Ontario, which would provide further revenue for the organization.
