Oma Koci -Educate and Mobilizing parents for social movement
Indonesian women that marriage and have kids, don't have opportunity to participate in formal and society decision. The deeply rooted patriarchal culture makes most Indonesian women stay at home or work informally and don't have access to civic education or movement. But according to the culture, women are the one who teach the kids and the teens and tell them what to believe or to take action or not.
We create integrated hyperlocal system using whatapp and website to educate and mobilizing citizens (community members) about social issue brought by our social impact organizations and business as our partners.
We educate them in short class that deliver the contents at byte size via whatsapp . and encourage them to join the challenge and reward them with poin that can be exchanged for food or money or other household stuff or more trainings
The number of households in Indonesia in 2021 was approximately 68.9 million,
71-72% of people in urban cities and 42-48% of people in rural communities have access to smartphone
but when the household have little children, they don't have access and energy to get involved in maanged social movement.
Most of parents that stay at home are women and they don't have free access to money or resources than their husband. By educate them with better understanding about social issues they can be more aware and take proper actions to respond. If the parents busy doing good things , their kids (next generations) will get inspired and follow their parent path
yohana is the leader of parent community called indonesian babywearers that have more than 5.000 members at cities of Indonesia. Yohana have programming skill so that she can test the program and understand the user feedback and make necessary change faster
Holy Sie (co-founder) is formerly the leader of mom work community ( a micro cloud kitchen community) and a good marketing person and she lead the program communications
Roseline (co-founder) is the lecturer and health practitioner that have a good understanding on data analytic and researches so she lead on choosing with parameters should be measured and published to push the mitigation process

we already run the process as offline project for 4 years , then decide to use technology for 6 months

we applying to solve because we need to scale up our solution so that it can reach more family at indonesia home and can handle more partners that already came to us for partnership but we can't handle them due to lack of resources

We use whatsapp and location based integrated with the website. As whatsapp users are increasing rapidly and engage more, we can reach more people. We serve the stay at home parents that can influence their neighbour to be involved.
we use poin system as reward method that can be exchanged for food or household need or trainings or money to start a business, so that interest the low income users to participate in.
Next year goal
- 10.000 of Indonesian households can actively participate in climate social movement and we can mobilize them to push the goverments to sync their actions about handling climate issue
- 100 businessess join our hyperlocal system to support us financially via sponsorship and marketing fee so that we can continue educate the community and reward community users for participating and take actions
next 5 years goal :
- 10% of 68 million household in Indonesia get used to digital system and get empowered to take actions for social issue

We measure
- how many users join and engage to the system continuously day by day
- how many social partner work with us to provide curriculum to educate the users / members
- relevant key performance indicator per project
If parents that stay at home are given access to understanding social issue and participating in taking actions, their actions are collectively push the stakeholder to more aware and sync the actions.
To keep their actions continuously (persistent) we use reward system. When the users understand that they get reward for their learning and take actions, they will be more engaged. The more engaged the users, the more businesses interest to take part to our movement via sponsorship and marketing fee.
