CHRP
The World Health Organization (WHO) reports that nearly 50% of the world's population lacks access to essential health services. This issue is more acute in fragile contexts where health systems are often disrupted by factors like conflict, displacement, or extreme poverty. Health workers in these areas face multiple challenges, including lack of training, supply shortages, limited data to inform decisions, and barriers to providing care to underserved groups. Furthermore, disruptions often lead to discontinuity of care, affecting treatment for chronic diseases and mental health conditions.
Our solution is the Community-Centric Health Resilience Platform (CHRP), a comprehensive digital health platform designed to strengthen health systems in fragile contexts. CHRP focuses on capacity building through a digital training platform, informed decision-making with data analytics and predictive modeling, increased accessibility via telehealth solutions, and continuity of care through a digital health record system and mental health support. It uses artificial intelligence to personalize learning paths for health workers and administrators, integrates data from multiple sources for a comprehensive overview of the health landscape, and provides virtual healthcare services to reach underserved groups.
CHRP seeks to improve the numerous digital health platforms and telehealth solutions on the market by incorporating the following philosophies:
Market Differentiation: CHRP is not just a digital health platform or telehealth solution. It's an all-encompassing system that integrates capacity building, data analytics for decision-making, telehealth solutions, and digital health records into one platform, providing a holistic approach that existing solutions lack.
User Adoption: To ensure broad adoption, CHRP will incorporate user-friendly interfaces and provide comprehensive digital literacy training modules for both health professionals and end-users.
Data Privacy and Security: CHRP will adopt stringent data security protocols in line with global standards, ensuring privacy while remaining compliant with local regulations. Regular security audits will be conducted to maintain the integrity of the system.
Scalability: CHRP is designed with scalability at its core. The platform will utilize cloud-based solutions that can rapidly scale up as needed. Additionally, the AI-driven components will learn and adapt to changes, allowing the platform to evolve with the users' needs.
Sustainability: CHRP will establish a mixed revenue model, combining user subscriptions, partnerships with governments and NGOs, and potentially donor funding. A business development team will be dedicated to securing contracts and exploring other sustainable funding sources.
Cultural Appropriateness: CHRP will employ local community liaisons to ensure content is culturally sensitive and appropriately localized. The platform will also use AI to learn and adapt to the cultural nuances of different user communities.
Connectivity: CHRP will include an offline mode for its app, allowing users to download content and use key features even without a stable internet connection. It will also collaborate with local telecom companies to explore possibilities for subsidized or zero-rated data access for the app.
Partnerships: CHRP will prioritize partnerships with local and international health systems, governments, and aid groups. The team will include partnership managers tasked with forging these relationships, ensuring the platform is aligned with the needs and goals of these crucial stakeholders.
By incorporating these enhancements, CHRP will not only solidify the resilience of health systems but also empower communities, making health care more resilient, accessible, and equitable in the face of destabilizing events.
Our solution serves frontline health workers, administrators, and underserved communities globally. These groups face unique challenges - from the lack of access to quality healthcare to disparities in health outcomes due to socio-economic, linguistic, and geographical barriers. Here's how CHRP steps in:
Frontline Health Workers and Administrators: In developing regions, these individuals often lack access to comprehensive training and real-time data to make informed decisions. CHRP's AI-powered training platform will provide personalized learning paths to boost their skills and competencies. The platform also facilitates digital tracking of medical supplies to prevent shortages, empowering them to deliver care more efficiently and effectively.
Underserved Communities: These include groups like refugees, elderly, women, children, LGBTQ+ individuals, and non-English speakers. CHRP's telehealth mobile app, designed with inclusivity in mind, will bring quality healthcare to their fingertips. The app features multilingual support, disability-friendly design, and modules addressing specific health needs of diverse groups, breaking down barriers to access.
People in Crisis Situations: In times of crisis, continuity of care often gets disrupted. CHRP's digital health record system ensures that health workers can access patient data anytime, anywhere. Moreover, our platform offers support for mental health and well-being through virtual counseling services and digital therapeutics.
Our goal is to democratize healthcare, making it accessible, equitable, and resilient. CHRP isn't just a solution; it's a catalyst for change that empowers communities and fosters resilience. By serving these target populations, we are not just addressing immediate health needs - we are nurturing a healthier future.
Our team is composed of individuals with a diverse range of skills, including healthcare, technology, and community engagement. As young women passionate about health sciences and originating from disadvantaged third world communities like rural India and China, we have firsthand experience working in fragile contexts and understand the unique challenges these communities face. Our strong relationships with local health systems, governments, and aid groups allow us to collaborate effectively and ensure our solution meets the needs of the communities we serve. We continually engage with these communities, seeking their input and feedback to refine our platform and ensure it serves their needs effectively.

Our solution, CHRP, has successfully transitioned from the concept and prototype stages. Currently, we are testing our system with a small group of health workers and administrators. We are evaluating the platform's effectiveness, and taking feedback to improve and adapt our offering. Additionally, we are actively working on the AI component of our solution and establishing connections with various communities for future implementation.
Currently, our solution is in the pilot phase and is being tested with a small group of approximately 50 health workers and administrators from local medical centers in Seattle and Hong Kong.
We are applying to Solve because we value the platform's potential to provide us with the necessary resources and guidance to scale our solution effectively. Our small team faces unique challenges, including refining our AI component, improving the user interface, and broadening our user base. We believe that Solve can provide us with the mentorship, technical assistance, strategic partnerships, and resources to overcome these hurdles and make a meaningful impact on global health systems.

CHRP provides a comprehensive digital health platform to communities in fragile contexts. The platform includes capacity building tools, informed decision-making support, telehealth solutions, and continuity of care features. We provide this service through a freemium model. Basic services, including access to virtual consultations, health advice, and resources, are available for free to all users. Advanced features, like personalized learning paths and data analytics, are available under a subscription model.
- Individual consumers or stakeholders (B2C)
Our primary source of revenue is the subscription fee for our advanced features. We aim to attract a large user base with our free services, then convert a portion of those users to paid subscriptions. For extremely fragile contexts where the ability to pay may be limited, we are exploring partnerships with NGOs, aid groups, and governments who can sponsor subscriptions for communities they support. We are also actively seeking grants and donations to support our work in these contexts.
CHRP has been successful in securing seed funding from a group of angel investors interested in healthtech solutions. This funding has allowed us to develop our platform and pilot it in several communities. The positive response from these pilots has attracted further investment interest. Additionally, we have secured partnerships with two international NGOs who have sponsored our platform for use in the communities they support. We have also started generating revenue from our subscription services, with a promising rate of conversion from free to paid users. We are confident that with continued growth and strategic partnerships, we will achieve financial sustainability.
