MOCHCare
In Ghana, there are 50.1% women population according to the 2021 population and housing census conducted , majority which are pregnant women don't get proper maternal and postnatal data keeping as a result of constant shortage of the maternal and child health record booklet in Ghana.
Some mothers misplace or mishandle the booklet that make data tracing very uneasy. Large number of pregnant women and mothers forget their appointment dates and as a result, children and pregnant women miss immunizations and sometimes this lead to maternal mortality and enfant death. Furthermore, Doctors and Midwives go through long lists of patients to identify defaulters and writing end of month reports is also a difficulty to the Care Giver.
Data manipulations and stigmatization is also on the rise in the Ghanaian health facilities.
If the above is well taking care of, data of Pregnant women and children under 5years will be adequately protected and maternal mortality will be eradicated and lesser periods will be spent at the health facility.
MOCHCare help Doctors, collect data of pregnant women and children under 5years and store them digitally with the Data collection tool we have built (Desktop Version). An offline/online usage of the application which can be used in both urban and rural areas of Ghana. Data collation for easy report writing ad also, our SMS/Voice call alert are set to notify patients of appointments dates. MOCHCare is a Four component product.

How are we changing the world? With MOCHCare, we're the technology in the data collection and storage of all pregnant women and children under 5years, by providing a safer data collection and storage tool for all.
On our vision, we want to make sure all data of all pregnant women and children from all background and culture of Ghana is protected through technology.
MOCHCare is set to work directly and meaningfully impact lives of 50.1% women populations here in Ghana. These number of women comprise pregnant women, lactating mothers, young women and children under 5years.
These people are under served such that, there are improper way of collecting and storing their previous and current vital health histories and on countless times, I have witnessed Health care givers scold pregnant women for mishandling or misplacing their maternal and child health record booklet.
Papers and cardboards are used instead of the original booklet, these materials are not durable hence get destroyed easily.
Parts of Ghana easily get flooded mostly every year and these make some health facilities loose the booklets through flood by that loosing maternal data. Health care givers miss track of health information and sometimes leading to maternal mortality.
MOCHCare solution will bridge all the effects the above is causing by keeping patient data in one place for both present and future references.
MOCHCare's team lead, for the past years, have been a community volunteer, working closely with Midwives, pregnant women and children under 5years, making sure every pregnant woman gets the needed care and all children attend the Child Welfare Clinic, duly immunized and well taking care of medically.
As a team, we do join Midwives in educating mothers on general maternal and postnatal health.

Talking about the need of MOCHCare to Health care givers/Health Authorities started with no marketing budget for the past 2years and so, we had 0 budget for customer acquisition.
We intend to charge when a health facility is onboarded, SMS/Voice alerts are sent to mothers, and also market place commissions. We believe that this can grow significantly in the next 3years through sales of our software, commissions and SMS marketing.
