Beware
People from Ndi okwara Abam solely depends on self medication when it comes to taking care of their health. Majority only visit a chemist shop and give a description of however they feel and medicines are given to them without proper diagnosis of what is actually wrong with them. Because humans will always strive for survival but when what they are used to fall them, it leads to the death alot of persons due to poor medicine attention and self medication. This practices has lead to several deaths, high maternity death rate among members of the community.
As I mentioned in my previous response, building resilience in health systems and maintaining access to care during destabilizing events requires a multifaceted approach that involves strengthening health infrastructure, developing contingency plans, building partnerships, and prioritizing equity. There is no single solution that can address all of the challenges involved in building a resilient health system.
To elaborate further, some specific solutions that can be implemented to address these challenges include:
1. Strengthening health infrastructure:
- Increasing the number of trained health personnel and investing in their professional development.
- Improving the availability and quality of health facilities and equipment.
- Enhancing supply chain management for essential medicines and medical equipment.
- Strengthening health information systems to enable effective monitoring and evaluation of health outcomes.
2. Developing contingency plans:
- Conducting risk assessments to identify potential threats to health services.
- Developing and testing contingency plans to address potential risks.
- Ensuring the availability of emergency funding and surge capacity.
- Coordinating with other sectors to ensure a comprehensive response.
3. Building partnerships across different sectors:
- Building partnerships with disaster management agencies, community organizations, and the private sector.
- Engaging with communities to ensure that their needs are incorporated into response plans.
- Developing joint response plans with other sectors to ensure a coordinated response.
4. Prioritizing equity:
- Ensuring that essential health services are available and accessible to all, including vulnerable populations.
- Addressing underlying social determinants of health, such as poverty and inequality.
- Engaging with communities and local organizations to understand their unique needs and perspectives.
In conclusion, building a resilient health system requires a comprehensive approach that addresses the underlying causes of health system fragility and promotes sustainable development. By implementing these solutions, health systems can better prepare for and respond to destabilizing events, while maintaining access to essential health services for all.
My solution serves the less financially privileged and widows , orphans and widowers .
I and my team have been involved in one way or the other by reaching out to members of the community with little supplies and also educating the community members on the need to always visit the hospital for a proper medical check up and diagnosis before medical treatment. But because of lack of funds, we cannot sustain the initiative.
- Improve accessibility and quality of health services for underserved groups in fragile contexts around the world (such as refugees and other displaced people, women and children, older adults, LGBTQ+ individuals, etc.)

One innovative approach is the use of telemedicine and other digital health technologies to provide remote healthcare services. This approach has become increasingly important during the COVID-19 pandemic, when social distancing measures have made in-person consultations challenging. Telemedicine can help to ensure that patients continue to receive essential healthcare services, while reducing the risk of transmission of infectious diseases. Digital health technologies can also help to improve the efficiency of healthcare delivery, reduce costs, and enhance patient engagement and empowerment.
Another innovative approach is the use of predictive analytics and machine learning algorithms to identify and mitigate potential risks to health services. These tools can help health systems to identify patterns and trends in health data, and to predict and prevent potential disruptions to healthcare services. For example, machine learning algorithms can be used to predict outbreaks of infectious diseases, or to identify patients who are at high risk of developing chronic diseases.
In addition, some health systems have implemented innovative financing models to build resilience and maintain access to care. For example, some countries have implemented social health insurance schemes that pool resources and risk across the population, and provide financial protection against the costs of healthcare. Other countries have implemented innovative payment models that incentivize healthcare providers to deliver high-quality, cost-effective care.
Overall, innovation in healthcare is essential to building resilience in health systems and maintaining access to care during destabilizing events. By leveraging digital health technologies, predictive analytics, and innovative financing models, health systems can better prepare for and respond to potential disruptions to healthcare services, while improving the quality, efficiency, and accessibility of healthcare for all.
In the healthcare sector, some impact goals that can be achieved through our initiative include improving patient outcomes, increasing access to care, reducing healthcare costs, and enhancing healthcare system efficiency. Achieving these goals may involve:
1. Developing and building healthcare facilities that can be used to improve disease diagnosis, predict treatment outcomes, and develop personalized treatment plans.
2. Using telemedicine and digital health technologies: Telemedicine can help to increase access to care, particularly in remote or underserved areas. Digital health technologies such as wearables and mobile apps can help patients to monitor their health and track their progress, while also providing healthcare providers with real-time data on patient health.
In terms of impact goals over the next year and the next five years, the healthcare sector will likely focus on addressing the growing burden of chronic diseases, improving healthcare access and quality, and reducing healthcare costs.
